How do you get a copy written song ie The Earth Wind and Fire song into your daw to make a cover? Every time I try it says it’s protected or not allowed. I like to make guitar covers but I have to play the music really loud in the background.
I have 9 monthly listeners, the most listeners per month i have 20 listeners, and i make music for 1 year and o think i have good music, but its impossible to have 1k monthly listeners or more, i really Hope that one time i will have 10k listeners or more 🙏

DistroKid will allow you to do cover songs. It'll be under the Songwriter section when you upload a tune.

If you’re independent with no marketing team or a major label… yeah… posting is a really good strategy..
If you write songs, doing covers can be a slippery walk along a cliff and I advise against it.
