Mrs.V. , I am over 70 and have canned for years. I so enjoy watching your channel because you are real. Not staged like so many channels. You always make me laugh. You are the best. Hugs my friend.

I'm the only one in my entire family who eats parsnips. I've tried mashing with rutabaga and potatoes. They still wouldn't eat it. That's OK more for me 😂. Much love from Thunder Bay Ontario

It's more labor-intensive than it looks because I edit out a lot of the work LOL but it's definitely worth it

Every bit helps to stock the pantry and like you said it’ll be a nice substitute for mashed potatoes once in a while. 😊

My curiosity is running rampant with wanted to experience the taste of parsnips! I am gonna to put this on my list this week. Make so much sense now for me about not using the blanched water for filling your jars. I am always learning something new with your videos. Love it! Thank you for sharing and especially your time.

Hi Bev! I would save and freeze the little tiny pieces and add them to a stir fry. Good job canning your parsnips. I wish you had gotten more from the garden. Can you buy some from a local source?
Have a very blessed day ❤️🤗🙏

My Classico jars are one quart sized jars! Wonder why the difference? I do have pint and a half classico jars from Alfredo sauce.
Still don't know how parsnips taste! Never had them. Might have to buy a couple to put in a roast to try.

I planted parsnips a couple of years ago and really didn't like them too much. I didn't get a lot of them, they didn't grow in my soil very well I guess. I'm in the desert.

I wound up having to cook a pork shoulder Sunday. I needed something from the freezer; I'll never buy an upright freezer again; and couldn't get things to fit back in right. I simmered it for hours falling off the bone tender, then canned it for tamales. Convenience at its best and cheapest.

Love your videos, but hate parsnips. Rule was when I was growing up was I had to try it and if I could give a valid reason why I didn't like something then I didn't have to eat it. I didn't get a replacement I just didn't have to have it on my plate. Parsnips was the one vegetable I could not stand. To me the smelled like our cats litterbox. My mom would fry them alot like potatoes with carrots and onions, I'd eat the carrots and onions.
