Just an old motonerd here. I love all things science and especially enjoy your channel. Motorcycle oil is specially formulated to do more than just lubricate the engine. The oil acts as transmission fluid for the clutch pads also. With my 30+ years riding, 12 years teaching and knowing it was a Honda, my guess was 20 minutes :) Thanks for autopsy!
Conclusion: Honda makes very strong engines.

If I had the money/time to do this, I'd strip and clean the motor before, then draw the gallium through the carb, wait long enough to pour oil into the engine and then take off and see how long I could ride. Honestly thats a MUCH better test, and probably would have shown the rapid unscheduled disassembly you wanted

I set up a testing area behind a concrete wall, and applied gallium to a lawn mower flywheel. Unbelievably nothing happened. I waited until the next day to try it again, and the flywheel stayed together. I was shocked.

It was a great old bike needed a little TLC and would have been fine over 20 years old is classic in Australia and would have made a decent sale
@@remedia1200 upholstery looks fine and the engine runs, I would definitely not call that "ratty," not to mention there are plenty of people who like the classic styling and durability of these bikes. sure the engine could have some major issue and be close to death but if that's the case he should have specified that

To be fairrrrr it wasn't running when i bought it for $400. Also theres a million of those Honda 250s. I was reading the 500cc engine is the same size so i might revive it with one of those.. then it can hold TWICE the amount of beans.

Eh. In my experience the fasted way to destroy someone’s engine is thermite, but to each his own.
I prefer pouring liquid nitroglycerin into the fuel tank and/or engine oil lines.
