Here's my take on the backstory of this artwork:
He remembered the day his sister was brought home, head full of hair under that little knit cap. A small bundle of love, love that was taken away from him to care for her. He felt no love for her, for all she did was make their parents shoo him away when they didn't before. Until she got older.
She didn't speak for seven years. He remembered his parents bringing her to a place to see what was wrong, and then coming back on the verge of tears. Autism. That was it; he wanted nothing to do with her. Until she finally said her first word; his name. His old vow going up in smoke, he promised himself to be the best big brother for her.
Time passed. A favorite game of hers was to go around, in real or imagined events, and use her superpower to save the day; love. More time passed, and her power of love stuck, becoming more than just a game; it became a tangible part of her identity, that love was the superpower she had and was more than willing to spread it around.
There came that day in his life, that day where he told his family that he felt no feelings towards women but to men. His parents rejected him horribly, calling him horrible names and saying he would rot in hell. But not his sister. She used her power of love to heal the wounds their parents caused him. She promised him that if their parents deny their love for their son, he could always count on her superpower to never turn away from him. He cried all night
High school came, and ultimately puberty and the mess of raging hormones. She had gone through a startling change, going from a cute little lovebug to an object of lustful desires. Her brother had taught her that there will be others that will want her power, but not like before; they would want to steal it for themselves, tuck it away in their pocket. She learned how to turn them away, and with her sidekick big brother by her side, her power remained hers.
Despite her constant outpouring of love, it was in short supply in the house. With her being challenging to raise, him daring to go against everything they've ever taught him, and the former spark of romance lost, there was hardly a night where there wasn't a horrible shouting match; at each other, about their children, towards their children, everything. It was decided; the moment they could, the moment he graduated high school, they were going away from their unloving parents.
Then the bombs dropped. War had been declared
Chaos had overtaken the city within hours, scared citizens running for their lives, vandals grabbing what they wanted because no one was stopping them, the body count rising higher by the minute. The school was no safer, so they fled. They fled back home, but it was gone, a smoldering wreck in its place. They both openly wept, for the reason they came here at all was gone; not for their parents, but for the dog.
The weeks went on, the chaos dying down to the quiet tension of looming death. A side effect of the bombs was a poisonous gas, one that would eventually render the air unsafe to breathe. Gas masks were not easy to come by, as it was either kill for it or be killed without it. It was hard, her power of love sometimes getting in the way of her eating food or getting supplies.
"There is a lack of love now, and there is nothing we can do. All we can do now is what we must to stay alive,"
She had grown quiet; her jubilant, loving self has faded. She was losing her power. The days went on, her countenance growing greyer and greyer.
But there was one more spark of love, the one last spark that cost the ultimate price. She had spotted a sniper's laser sight on her brother, and pushed him aside as the shot rang out. She slumped to the ground, a trail of red forming on her shirt.
He dragged her to safety, but as he examined the wound, he saw there was nothing he could do. Fish out the bullet? What did he have that wouldn't cause a raging infection? It had blown through her lungs, she was breathing hard. There was too much blood lost already. There was only one outcome now
She whispered her final words to him while he embraced her and cried. Even when her hold fell slack he didn't let go, not even when her warmth grew cold. It was hours before he had the courage to let go.
It was a shallow grave, with rubbish as the marker, but it was the best he could do. He knew that's all he wanted from him; his best. Knowing he wouldn't live long if he stayed there, he left the grave behind.
    Time passes
It was a long time since he saw any flowers unmarked by tragedy, and these were her favorite. It had been a while, perhaps another visit is due. Bouquet in hand, he traveled half the city to the grave, makeshift wood cross leaning against a sheet of galvanized metal. He kneeled down, placing the flowers on the grave. He couldn't stop the tears. He didn't want to.
Every time. Every visit. Every new bouquet of flowers. Every stop here, her final words would ring in his ears as if she was leaning in to say them again:
"Don't be sad. When you feel love, that's me. Just because I'm gone doesn't mean my superpower isn't. As long as you don't forget love, you'll never forgot me,"
(Sorry for that people, I kinda got carried away. This is just a brain fart story, fresh from the shower. Absolutely no editing here so sorry there too. Oh well, hope you enjoyed this anyway)

What if the ghost is actually of the guy's mother who died years ago. And in his grief and revenge he brought about the apocalypse. Having succeeded he sits at his mother's grave remembering the time he had with her. As he remembers, his mother's ghost lingers in the background sad at what her beloved son has done and become. And she weeps because when her power of love left the world, her son turned to hatred and vengeance. Tearing her astral clothes in sorrow and mourning of the death of the world and her little happy boy. And the flowers? One of the guy's first memories is of his mother setting a bouquet of flowers in a vase on the table of their small two room apartment. Brightening the place like only his mother could.

Each unique to the viewer looking at the piece.

Okay, okay. There's a few one-shot story already for this video, but here is my version in my writing style.
(Your name) sat there, a bouquet of flowers in hand, facing the makeshift grave he made from the surrounding rubble. A trickle of tears begin to form around his eye's before breaking free and made it's way to his gas mask.
On the makeshift wooden tombstone cross is written in a rather rushed way, is the name, life span, and her final words. 'Here lies Amanda Goodwitch, 1993-2048. "Wherever you feel or give love, you are remembering and spreading my influence of you and others."'
Amanda however, is in a ghostly form, overlooking her former husband, (Y/n) Goodwitch. Her hands clutching the area where her heart is, as if she is being stabbed in the heart. The distant city, once the glorious city known as New York city, is now in ruins, burning into the ash filled sky. ////
And that's it. My rather rushed one-shot. Do what you think about it, like, dislike, or comment.

I just made a story for these charachters:
Two lovers together since childhood. The girl had the power of love but disgusted by her parents she loved them anyway. She went to a park one day and started crying a boy about the same age comforted her, cared for her. She felt loved for once. They grew up together soon falling in love. Her powers relaxing as fell further in love. They were about to get married, but as the time came the apocalypse happened. The man gave her roses to prove to her she was safe. Though she caught some sort of plague soon dying. The man heartbroken sorrowfully buried her body and put a bouquet of roses whenever he could. Everyday after her death the ghost of the girl watched over the man she loved.
I'm sorry if I made you craft.

When I saw the finished picture, I thought of a sad little story:
Michael and Isabella have know each other from the start. They were in kindergarten together, all the way up until college. They loved each other so much, I almost can't describe it. Isabella was truly special. Having the power of love isn't even half of it. It killed Michael when she died. It hurt him more then his eventual death, lying on the cold hard ground, bleeding out from a knife wound. At least he was buried by some kind strangers, who found his body. But the pain didn't even compare to when Isabella died. How did everything just collapse? It was perfect before the apocalypse, so perfect. Isabella was sexy, yet sweet. Strong, yet emotional. Michael on the other hand was fun, yet sensible. He was a hard worker, and also very intelligent. Two perfect people, two perfect lovers. If only that earthquake and wind storm didn't destroy that lab, releasing a deadly and contagious disease. If only those thugs didn't knock Isabella unconscious, maybe she would've lived. When she fell to the ground, her gas mask was knocked off, and by then it was to late. In those few seconds, the disease had entered her lungs, and begun to kill off the tissue. Worse of all, it happened right in front of Michael. Even though he couldn't have prevented it, he blamed himself. If I were him, I would blame myself too. He couldn't save her, and now all that's left of her is her poorly made grave, always with a new rose bouquet every day.

    • @oosajee
      @oosajee 7 лет назад +38

Gillian Votaw had to go back to look and you're actually right. Especially the female eyes all seem to have the same feline look. Jazza this could be a challenge.Draw a fierce female character with unique face AND a different body-type. Perhaps muscular like a real warrior would be? Break the cartoon stereotype of curvy and soft bodies and try to make a character sexy without falling for the easy boobs showing and curvy hips routine.

i don't think it would be dificult to incorporate all the elements in one character:
-Ghost: it's a ghost, you know what to do.
-sexy: a lot of curves like the female ended up with
-apocaliptic: monstruous design. (remember it asked sexy, not beautiful)
-power of love: make her do a heart with her hands and shooting hearts from it (type "boa hancock power" in google images to know what i mean)

Befallen afront the makeshift grave, Kong sat . The winds of a dying world rippled through his hair. "It had come so fast," he thought. Month's they had survived together, months they had loved each other. For a brief time, they actually thought they could beat this; survive to the end on passion alone. Then the bandits came.

Ten men strong, trudged forth upon the barbed corpse of a military Humvee. It's spin down range of us saying all that the silent occupants wouldn't. They wanted our food, our guns, our home beneath the bridge. I would have given it all had I thought it would have stopped what was to come. Bell wouldn't stand it. Even with the danger before us; With the miracle of our love growing inside her; She knew resettling wouldn't be an option.

I'm just being a bit nit picky but I think maybe having the rope on her grave should be blue like her so we could see that it was her who died and was watching over him or a necklace or even a piece of blue cloth that came from her torn up clothing that she wore and is still wearing in death. Just a thought to add a bit more depth and understanding of the situation. Other than that I love it and this is one of my favorite jazza pieces.

    • @DeahlPeterson

    • @nixiestarlight158

I think it does not need to be spelled out. The only ones that need it spelled out for them are the ones who are unable to understand the implications already there. Also, the most stupid/dumb people of all are the ones that go around telling people that there's so many stupid/dumb people in the world.

    • @timelady4145

I think it's great not having everything spelled out. Then its left to interpretation and hearing the emotions people get from the piece because everyone is different.
