We first came up with the concept of the FN Pen 1.0 after watching John Wick and being inspired by his creative use of a #2 pencil. After a year of painstaking design and prototyping, we developed/tested/patented the world's best tactical pen. When we launched the FN Pen 1.0 we ran out of stock within hours. We took that as our sign to start work on the FN Pen 2.0.

You need a way to store at lieast one other tip. Now, what con you do, with penetrator tip, when using grafit one?
why would you make it screw on ? and not another type of locking mechanism. maybe push the eraser down which releases the lock know what i mean?

Yea. The lack of this feature is a dealbreaker for me. I would also accept a version that can shoot tiny poisoned darts. Tried my best to convert pens to this when I was a kid. Best I could do was shoot the spring.
Good for covert missions into Russia or Cuba.
even after it goes off the FN Pen still is usable and reloadable.

I believed in you guys and ordered a pencil. I didn't get the glass breaking tip. I've emailed customer service three times, no response. Come on guys.....seriuosly. Customer service after the sale is just as important, as word of mouth is a tremendously powerful tool. Can you please send me the glass breaking tip, which you didn't include in the box? Thanks

@@ianondomisi8931after 20 emails they did. After stating they had shipped me the glass breaking tip, they recanted to say that the pencil doesn’t ship with the glass breaking tip.

That’s actually super cool!! I was digging everything in the video, only gripe was ‘man they’re gonna be expensive’ no! These are actually reasonably priced! And the phat pp two pack is great too because I would give out SOG micron knives out as gifts but I think they discontinued them so the phat pp is a perfect substitute. Great stuff👍👍
Got mine on 18th Dec but unboxed it today. Definitely something worth its price.

this is so cool, the only thing I’d think abt trying to change is making the cap seamless when put on the back of the pen, a small case for tips, graphite and erasers would also be great

Any designs on adding a pocket clip? I realize that may detract from the pencil like aesthetic, just easier to EDC this way.

I'll be ordering a 3 pack for sure. Also, if you guys were to create a version that the front tip could be swapped for a EMR stylus end, I'd buy enough ends to make sure they last until I die.

Really perfect. The only thing I would change is the screw mechanisms. If the 3.0 version comes with fast and easier lock-in mechanism foreraser part, it will be a totally reliable product for everyday use
I think a better idea would be to have the back side be a pencil tip or have it be a replaceble side where you could have it be either a pen or a pencil. Switching the carbide tip will introduce weakness to that section and be a hassle for when you need to switch tips. I garantee that most people will switch the tungston for graphite or vice-versa depending on their usage and just leave it as is. Unless you are regularly going out to stab things with a pencil, you wouldn't need both of the tips at the same time.

the graphite tip reminds me of the sun star metacil pencil that uses a metal alloy so that it can write but wont wear down easily
wondering if the eraser can dub as a stylus for smart phones? not a deal breaker if its not, still gonna get this pen.
I mean it has replaceable tips so if you really wanted it someone could probably make it.

I work with wood a lot and would love to try this out, any chance there will be precision pencil tips for marking lines very close to a ruler gauge? Some other ideas that come to mind are stylus tips (maybe for Android tablets, ipads or surface pro devices), perhaps even a calligraphy tip. Personally, Id choose this as my go to if more tips were available like these. Great product and design!

As a writer and artist you got me good. The Zebra F-701 has been my go to EDC for years but having a pencil and pen in one all metal build is a dream come true. :) I am definitely ordering a few.
if you dont mind heavy rotring 600 3 in 1 is my daily pen/pencil. Although i wouldn't recommend that sort of mechanical pencil for art
@0 Looks pretty good, if they had a .7mm or better yet a .9mm that would be great, I prefer those for getting some variation from a mechanical lead.
v3.0 feature requests: have the ability to screw in different tips for each end. Maybe you want graphite on one end, and window breaker on the other.
You should make a 3.0 that is mainly an ink pen with the same astetic and similiar features. The ink pen is a nice bonus in this version but having to unscrew the cap multiple times for repeated use is not good for fast in and out pocket use. Definately the best graphite tip pen out there though.

You had me at "bluetooth galaxy zfold 5 compatible stylus" and then I realized it was just a glass breaker. Still ordering but the z fold 5 compatible stylus in this style would be nice also.
Guys seeing as such tactical pens are illegal in the UK (and no doubt elsewhere) the very ordinary look is excellent, however, from a self-defense perspective, what would be great is having the tungsten tip hidden under the top cap (opposite the writing end), so if needed quickly then the top cap could be removed with a quick single turn (perhaps also magnetized for extra hold) to expose the tungsten tip, which would then not be obvious under casual inspection. What do you think?

How do you keep from losing your tips? Say if you had the tungsten penetrator on, you drop the graphite into your pocket and it slips into the void... Really seems like it should have internal storage for other tips. If you can manage that, it can also be a little screwdriver... Maybe some sort of collet design for the tips...
No gripping/ribbs on the tip? Can see changing tips being potentially difficult in an emergency, if its on firmly.
could you guys make a kydex sheath for these pens? i'd like to add them to my kit.
What this needs, is a cap. a very simple plain cap that could easily magnetically attach to the rubber end when not in use.

its unfortunate that my fnpen 1.0 cant open up the back to replace the pen tip and all i got back as a response when i emailed about it was

The magnetic cap is clutch, that’s the one thing I don’t like about the 1.0 (still use it every day though!)

Instead of a graphite tip, a standard lead could be really good too. Like a draftsman's lead holder.
Would love an option accessory of a "pen cap" . The sharp tip makes this not a good item for pockets or bags that might get...penetrated. Ideally, I'd carry this around in a pocket with a cap on it.
Incorporate magnets to keeps the different tips fastened to the body 3.0
super curious on the design choice. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the penetrator part under the cap instead of the pen? I figure you'll be using the pen part way more than then penetrator.

How are you supposed to sharpen the graphite tips? Do I just have to deal with a blunt tip or swap it out every ten minutes?
Needs more work into the scope of a needed 3.0
The graphite nibs (at times) have a trickled trail of glue on the screw-in section.
An added 2cm metallic buffer between the nib and base wouldn’t be a bad idea
-if it has at least two twist purposed grooves.
That way the magnetic eraser can maintain its utility on the graphite nib adapted when pen use is desired.
I don’t mind offshores fabrications. It’s sleek but can leave more to be desired.
It’s balanced for the listing price but, I guess I should’ve made a test purchase

Very slick design, though I was most surprised on the price. $30, while not cheap, is a lot more affordable than I would have guessed. Maybe I’m just used to other hobbies like keyboards and fountain pens :P

What if u can change the tip for it to work on screens as well? that would be so useful, buy to apple pencil and styluses for tablets. u might accidentally pierce your electronics screen while writing
