Rev Mbuli // Know the God you pray to. // Prayer week day 4

Prayer is a necessity.
Rev Mbuli, addresses the importance of prayer but more than the prayer itself, we should know the God we are praying to. He highlights for us the different ways in which God reveals and makes Himself know to all man.
1. General Revelation, this is God revealing Himself through His creation. Man does not need peaching of other men because God's creation testifies of His existence.
2. Devine Revelation, through this revelation we see God in the scriptures. He revealed Himself in His word , and He also reveals Himself in the person of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, this is the God we ought to prayer to.
Rev Mbuli, preaches from the book of Luke (7:36-48)_ The woman with the alabaster bottle with perfume and oil. The rev, focuses on two other characters on the story. (a) Simon the Pharisee, who had invited Jesus into his home yet had no revelation of - he did not recognize- who Jesus is. (b) The woman Marry who was known by her community as a sinner yet she poured her heart out and wept at the feet of Jesus, thus recognising Jesus as Lord to the point that Jesus forgave her sins.
