- According to an analysis from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, both Vice President Kamala Harris' and former President Donald Trump's economic plans could increase the federal deficit by trillions of dollars. Marc Goldwein, CRFB senior vice president, joins CBS News to explain the findings.

During Donald Trump's presidency, the U.S. national debt increased 40.43%. The U.S. federal budget deficit as a percentage of GDP reached 14.9%. Moody's downgraded the U.S. credit outlook from stable to negative. The last time a Republican administration balanced the federal budget was in 1960 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Under Trump the deficit was under $1 Trillion each year 2017 to 2019. in 2020 during covid it went up by $4 Trillion and Nancy ran the house that made that budget.
Biden/Kamalas deficit is over $ 2 Trillion per year every year they have been in office and going up.
This year the house created appropriation bills but schumer would not allow a vote so we're still in CRB.

According to the business down Fall as the result of the pandemic like the housing crisis and all bricks and mortar stores closing like fisherman warth in SF and other businesses in Los Angeles it became more cost effective and the results was closing the brick and mortar stores down sizing and a direct hit on the commercial property rental property as well .

The economists & most business CEOs have answered this. Harris/Walz a benefit | Trump/Vance would absolutely hurt our pocketbooks, inflation of taxes and higher prices (tariffs, rich/corporate taxcuts), and trillions more in debt.
