Forget tariffs. Implement a border entry tax on foreign exporters, payable by them. This would be similar to highway tolls - if you want to drive on this highway, then pay up first. Very simple.
And what's preventing those foreign exporters from not paying the bill? Are you suggesting the US is going to invade that country to arrest people and take their factories? What's stopping them from attaching that fee onto import costs which IS NOT subject to those taxes?

High tariffs on imported goods means foreign investors will increase their prices to trade or not trade at all. And foreign countries will put more tariffs on US export goods. And we, the people suffers on prices. US don’t have all the resources we need, that’s why we export products. Not all americans want to work in factories, so creating factories here is not a good idea. For right now, unemployment rate is 4.2%, lowest in 50 year mark. Trump wants to design US like late chairman mao zedong of communist China, where resources and manpower comes from the people inside the country, no outsiders, like being isolated country.

I love his plan. Many American customer service and customer support jobs have been outsourced to India. I hate to call customer service for any company because the person answering the phone is difficult to understand and they also have a difficult time understanding English. Its awful. Hyderabad has destroyed two American corporate office divisions that I know about.
How would US have labor force to replace all illegal immigrants (ten million jobs), for affordable child care, for construction, for new manufacturing jobs, for industries which are actually driving US growth and even for customer service phone lines?
So... how does he intend to force foreign companies to pay American taxes? If they refuse, how is going to make them? He can't just arrest them and take their assets, that would involve going to war with that country. Also, that part of the service industry is literally a money sink... it generates ZERO dollars in revenue. How do you tax a service that makes negative money?

....corporate greed has nothing to do with tarrifs. Tarrifs are, by definition, an IMPORT TAX, a tax levied against importers in the US. You literally cannot tax foreign companies because they can just refuse to pay it and there's ZERO consequences for it. It's not like the US can start arresting people in a different country or start seizing factories in China. They only have jurisdiction to tax their own people and corporations.
