The interview begins with Lesley Stahl asking Donald Trump, 'You're ok with some tough questions?' and Trump responding, 'No, I'm not.'
Lesley Stahl repeatedly presses President Trump to share his health care plan, to explain the rise in COVID-19 cases, to justify why he called Dr. Anthony Fauci an 'idiot,' and more. At one point, Trump explicitly states that he hopes the Supreme Court 'ends' Obamacare.

Literally EVERY OTHER country had higher rates of testing ... per capita and testing vs positive cases !!
The problem is that Americans are sicker than most other countries. As far as the pandemic response, we did not adopt early treatment protocols, instead we just told people to go home and hope for the best, essentially. Other countries like India treated early and aggressively which is why some provinces were able to wipe out covid completely before vaccines were widely adopted.

The only people that thought this was beneficial to his re-election, are the people who were already supporting him. This unedited version does nothing to sway my vote. Isn’t that the point? There is no standardized measure across all countries, so each country chooses what constitutes a covid case and a covid death. That they are not standardized but different country to country. So it would be like in US measuring apples and oranges, while other countries it would measure apples and grapefruits, and others would measure only apples. No standardization across the board. No other country would label covid deaths as covid deaths if it wasn’t confirmed as a covid death, but in the US, that’s what happened, even though they had 2 other conditions typically.
In our country, they labeled people as covid deaths even without testing them, which is despicable. This is because a Covid death was incentivized more, more money for hospitals. In fact, my friend who’s a doctor received a mandate from the government to label cases which weren’t tested as covid.

I could be wrong here but I think the point he was trying to make was that yes, we have the highest amount of reported COVID cases but that is because we have the most robust testing than most any other countries. In other words lets say Germany has half the COVID cases but also has 75% fewer testing happening. Does that really mean Germany has done a better job than the US at containing COVID???

No joke, I actually think this is one of the most under-discussed and overlooked reasons that he is falling behind in the polls and is likely to lose the election lol. Listening to him at this point has just gotten exhausting. I think a lot of Americans were kind of on board with the circus attraction aspect of how ridiculously he behaves back in 2016 and now a significant percentage of those same people are just completely over the dog and pony show. "Energy consuming" hits the nail right on the head.

Yep it's frustrating. Stahl asked him the best softball open-ended question "Why do you want to be president next term?" (paraphrased as I am never wading back into that mess to find the exact wording, hah). He could have answered with any number of enthusiastic, inspired, energetic, wondrous, and hopeful things.
