First off, thank you for respecting my time! This video was efficient, explanatory and to the point and I'm all about it. Second, YES to this method of braiding to secure the hair rather than crocheting it into the braid. This is the first I've seen this and it makes so much sense 👏👏 I will be trying it. Thanks for sharing!
Sade Calin LOL!! 😁 Thank you! I always like to keep all of that in mind when putting out tutorials. I appreciate your feedback and thank you so much for watching! ❤️👑✨
Yaaass, beautiful and excellent method. I have NEVER seen this method before. And NO crochet needle, Wow. I cannot wait to do this. The best tutorial I have seen and I have looked at plenty. Good job and Thank You!!!!! Angela
This is definitely my go to!!! I been using this brand of hair for approximately 2 years now, and when I install them I usually leave them in for about 3-4 months at a time (the growth is bananas). I do the individual crochet method so I am able to wash my hair every two to three weeks. This look looks great on you
I just saw THIS video for the first time EVER.. & I've watched hundreds on RUclips.. I literally just misplaced my hair beader which I normallly use to install this hair. After viewing your video.. I realize this method is the most simple stress free method I've EVER seen on RUclips.. I'm using it to do my install as I write this comment.. Thank you so.much for sharing this!
My daughter and I are trying them today!! Thank you for the very informative video. You make it look very simple with an amazing finish. I hope we are able to do the same. God bless you my sister. You Inspire
Thank you for this!! I used a different brand and type of hair, but I was able to complete it faster after seeing this. I need Nu locs for my next faux loc style.
I am sooo late but great video, I am on my second round of these and too love them. I was able to keep them for a little over 2 months. I redid my edges once and it still looked great. The longer the more natural they looked!
Thank you for getting straight to the video no music and extra conversation threat had nothing to do with your video and explanation clear and direct I will be trying I got packs of the hair already
Wow. I've never neen it done like this before. Extremely clever...I just installed Janet collection Natural born locs, will def try this method when I reinstall. I am with you, Nu locs and natural born locs (by Janet collection) are the most natural looking. Ty
I'm doing my second set of locs. Tried the Bamba boss locs but after a while they drove me crazy so on to the Nu Locs. Thanks for the tip on instillation.. Beblessed!!
Really good video! I so wish this method would work on my hair because I love the look but it does not work on fine hair. If your hair does not have enough grip to hold the braid together while braided the loc will just slide right out. So sad because now I have to have the knot at the scalp. :(
Lovely, in your thumbnail at first glance I thought you were MsVaugh here on YT don't know if you're familiar with her or if anyone has ever told you that, but I mean it as a compliment as she's gorgeous and so are you.
Your hair looks gorgeous! Did you cut them? They look shorter than 18in. I plan on installing these myself. I prefer shorter hair so I purchased this hair in 14in.
This looks amazing. When you were wrapping the braid around the loc were you putting the braid in between the loc? I couldn't really tell but either way I'm definitely trying this hairstyle it looks good on you. 😍😍😍😍
I did the Nu locs and I loved them the only thing is sometimes they become too frizzy or too kinky and you’d have to take them out. I was able to use mine twice then got rid of them. I like the way you did yours I always braid my hair in a pattern but yours is easier
THIS method is completely diff from the method Jazz Nicole uses. NEWS FLASH: just becuz she says she's the first to do it, that's not always the case. She may have been the first to go viral with it, but many of her "new" methods were done by girls in the early 90's, when crochet was popular back then. And that is a fact

I am trying this style later today. I am super excited.
Apart from these locs coming out BOMBTTT...woww..you're super pretty!

i'm about to install some and out of all the videos I've seen I love your technique the most! I can not have all that tension on my head!
Thank you for this!! I used a different brand and type of hair, but I was able to complete it faster after seeing this. I need Nu locs for my next faux loc style.
I need to figure this out for sister locs.
THANK YOU!! I’ve been struggling over here...this is so much easier. I will be working on my hair tonight! 🙌🏾

I'm having trouble twisting the loc. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I love the hair
i’m loving 99j too! this style is so cute.
Leondra Giavonni thanks girl!! ❤️ Subscribing to your channel now!
You and the hair so Beautiful 😍 Thanks for sharing!
I'm doing my second set of locs. Tried the Bamba boss locs but after a while they drove me crazy so on to the Nu Locs. Thanks for the tip on instillation.. Beblessed!!
I love this style! I had mine crocheted before but I will try your method!!!
Sooooooo awesome thank u what can I do for the sides of my short hair cut?
Excited to try this I love that you didn’t use any tools the roots have such a natural look
The loop is very difficult to find IF you can find it
How long did this take ?? This is so beautiful
I'm going to be doing this tomorrow!! 💜
Really good video! I so wish this method would work on my hair because I love the look but it does not work on fine hair. If your hair does not have enough grip to hold the braid together while braided the loc will just slide right out. So sad because now I have to have the knot at the scalp. :(
I'm experiencing that now, so upset about it but I'm gonna find a way to do this!!!!! 😊
Rubber band method works if you have fine hair
Just ordered my hair!!!!! Thanks girl ❤️
omg i love the nu locs 😩🙌🏾
Carissa Walker yessssss girl me too!! Thank you for watching! ❤️
feeling these!
That used to be my favorite loc I can’t find them nomore 😭
Datgirl Nana I found them on Sams beauty on Sale! Last week.
Moniquee Brown thank you. I got some of the free tress ones ion like them.
I just bought some on ebonyline.com Amazon sells them too
Just got my locs and they just won't untwist without distorting the loc while trying to wrap around my braids. Any suggestions?
When wrapping the Nu lock hair around the natural braid does it ever come unwrapped what is holding it together so well ?
The best method ever thank u
I like your hair. Going to try them this weekend and also what kind of lipstick are you wearing?
christina soto she said the kind of lipstick in a previous comment. Scroll up
Very cute 💕
Quijuandas thank you so much!! 💞
I did this method and my family thought it was my hair 😂😂
Lovely, in your thumbnail at first glance I thought you were MsVaugh here on YT don't know if you're familiar with her or if anyone has ever told you that, but I mean it as a compliment as she's gorgeous and so are you.
I love it!!!
Do you experience the hair sliding down at the edge??
Yes, sometimes this can happen
Hey! Thanks for showing how you did it. It's amazing to be able to do it in individual crochet. Quick questions: are these 14 or 18 inches?
lilkamer These are 18 inches
Love!!!
Jessica Venyke thank you!
Love this method...but how do you take them out? 😏
Very cute. How long it took you to install?
Thank you
Your hair looks gorgeous! Did you cut them? They look shorter than 18in. I plan on installing these myself. I prefer shorter hair so I purchased this hair in 14in.
Does this hair shed after a while?
It didn’t for me
How many packs did you use
She used 4. I'd say get 5 to make the back a little fuller. I'll do this for my birthday #LordWilling
This looks amazing. When you were wrapping the braid around the loc were you putting the braid in between the loc? I couldn't really tell but either way I'm definitely trying this hairstyle it looks good on you. 😍😍😍😍
Krystle Hunter Thank you so much! 😁 Yes, I’m putting the braid in between the loc.
Does it chop your hair off when you try to take it out?
Anyanwu Oge Not at all
Cute
Hi!
Do i have to braid my hair? Can i twist it instead?
JoudanJanaiHa Hi! I wouldn’t suggest twisting. Braiding is more secure and they won’t slip out
Thank you for your quick reply! What a wonder tutorial-- beautiful inside and out!
(Thanks again!)
I did the Nu locs and I loved them the only thing is sometimes they become too frizzy or too kinky and you’d have to take them out. I was able to use mine twice then got rid of them. I like the way you did yours I always braid my hair in a pattern but yours is easier
How many bags did you use? What color is that lipstick?? 😍😍😍Awesome tutorial!! I will be trying it!
Mara Phillips thank you so much!! I used 4 bags in total. The lipstick is called ‘1993’ by Urban Decay
I’m getting it tomorrow! I’m calling it my government shutdown do 💁🏾♀️
I used this hair for individuals but my hair kept popping out the faux loc. Did u have that problem wit this method?
June Hayes Yeah with this method is your hair is shorter, it’s going to pop out of the loc unfortunately
Jazzy Nicole's method
why do people refuse to credit jazz Nicole for her many crochet loc techniques?
Bae Lee because its not her method none of them are
Right!
Bae Lee that's what I wanna know. Like it's ok to say you learned from her method or were inspired by it. Credit her damn it ☹️
It's not that serious
These look great. How long did the install take and did you wash or get them wet?
brina Floyd Thank you. No I didn’t wash them or get them wet. The install took about 4 hours if I remember correctly
tbh samsbeauty shipping prices is a lot
Easiest method ive seen
Looks fantastic but I wish the camera was much closer and your hand wasn't in the way. ☺️
You are beautiful what color lipstick are you wearing 😍😘
Famous Chanel thank you so much! 💞 It’s called ‘1993’ by Urban Decay. It’s a liquid lipstick
It dont work for me
I cannot see you wrap it, which doesn't make it as detailed and explanatory as I thought, thank you.
Thank you
