Paul and John. There’s more to being a good HC than just X’ and O’s . Clearly Brian knows plays. He knows offense. Big deal …. Many other OC’s and HC’s know football. It’s everything from managing a roster , preparing ahead. Making roster moves that make sense. Bad in game decisions . Not knowing when to go for it on 4th down, then decide to go for it later in the game. Not holding players accountable. What other HC is having players put them on blast after games ? Asking DJ to play safety on scout team. The way he answers questions in the media. It’s a whole package …. He doesn’t know how to be an HC. He can be a good OC for Josh Allen. WOW !!! Really ? That’s his crowning jewel. ITS JOSH ALLEN !!!!! He’s an MVP even without DABOLL !!!!! Daboll didn’t make JOSH !!! Both Brian and Joe have been NOT GOOD ENOUGH IN YEAR 3 !! It’s 2024 not 1985. Aside from Pittsburg, KC, Baltimore and maybe a couple others, the leash is 3 years . Then you hit NEXT !!!!!!!! Rinse repeat until it’s right. You don’t regress a rebuild in year 3 regardless of excuses to injury. It’s the NFL. Every team has injuries. Many teams loose their starting QB’s . This is just as an embarrassment as any other year.

I agree with Paul and respectfully disagree with John vehemently.
    - Here's why Drew Lock played well.
    - The elephant in the room are the two turnovers. Correctable physical errors. More practice reps on screens and better ball security when busting for a first down from a collapsed pocket. I'll give Lock the same slack we give to Tyrone Tracy. Right now, I'm focusing on the talent Drew Lock displayed in this game.
    - Drew Lock engineered touchdown drives in the first & fourth quarters. The first TD made a statement punctuated by a 28-yard run to the 1-yard line. The second TD was preceded by a pass to Nabers that neither DJ nor Devito are capable of making. The most important thing is Lock never quit and neither did the offense. Nabers, Theo and Tracy were fully engaged.
    - Lock involved Nabers early in the passing game. Connections with Theo & Co in the 2nd half moved the offense despite penalty interruptions. Multiple times, Lock overcame huge O-Line penalties to keep scoring drives alive.
    - Passing - Lock completed 21 of 32 passes for 178 yards. Include 4 dropped passes & he's 25 of 32. 25 of 32.
    - Four incompletions were physically caused by pass rush.
    - One incomplete pass connected but Slayton (I think) could only get one foot in. If you want to rant about the remaining two incompletions, knock yourself out.
    - Passing yardage. Beyond the dropped passes, several completions were taken off the board by penalties. Changes Lock's YPP and yardage total.
    - Fact is that Lock successfully moved the offense to overcome a couple of otherwise drive-killing penalties.
    - Sorry, John, but Drew Lock and Tommy Devito are not in the same class of NFL quarterbacks, clearly. Their arms are incomparable.
From a leadership standpoint, Lock exhibited a measure of control that had the offense functioning. As Paul pointed out, the team scored two FGs and two TDs 4 trips to scoring zone. Mind you, Drew Lock accomplished everything while under constant duress. Certainly no less than Devito.
    - If Daboll is smart, he'll continue with Lock as #1. Let's see what we have in house before tanking for a #1 draft pick. I'd rather we invest our draft capital bolstering the O-Line and D-Line and use FA capital on linebackers and secondary.
    - I have my doubts in Daboll. I do not doubt Drew Lock's QB competence.

It's hard to have respect for organization that tanks. We have so many holes. I think it would be wise to trade are number one pick for more picks. Let's be honest the number 1 pick is a 50-50. Cam or sanders isn't the answer for the giants.

Steve the caller hit the nail on the head. Same point I've been making. The GM and Daboll DO NOT deserve to pick our next QB or their "guy". They made their pick when they gave DJ that contract! It hasn't worked out. Goodbye.
