The Giants are so out of touch with modern NFL players, who knew that having Daniel Jones be a scout team safety and starting a popular 3rd stringer over the backup wouldn't light the lockeroom on fire, maybe it would have been a good idea to trade Barkley midway last year to reduce the odds of him signing with Philly, perhaps we shoulda gambled on one of the Quarterbacks this draft because getting one next year would result in a record bad enough that the General Manager and Head Coach probably lose their jobs.
A lot of fans complain about their team trading up, but the Giants demonstrated exactly what can happen if you don’t. Brad Holmes has been criticized a great deal, even by Lions fans, for trading up to get the guy he wants. The Lions are pretty particular about the kind of players that they want, especially in terms of character so I completely support what they are doing. If the Raiders go the path of firing or demoting AP and are in position to draft a QB of their choice like it looks like they will be, I feel like that’d be a good option for Ben Johnson. Telesco isn’t perfect but he gave us elite and starting level players at skill positions in his first draft. I think Johnson would do well to really build a new QB and tailor an offense to them with the talent we have already.
It actually starts and ends with Saquon. If we had taken Josh Allen at number 2 rather than Barkley, we never would have reached for Jones at 6 the following year. Thus we would never have come to depend on Saquon to be our offense. That’s where it really started. Everything since then has been a reaction/over correction.
The problem is 100% coaching. JMS looked like a really decent center as a rookie but fell off heavy toward the end of the year. Neal and KT were both projected to be first-overall picks at one point. Dante Banks was playing really well last year then fell off a cliff. Daniel Bellinger looked great. Players were calling him the next-best tight end, and now he hardly sees the field. Daboll is a loser, the playoff game against the Eagles was so pathetic. He gave up after the first quarter. He continues to give up if the game is more than a score. He plays for field goals. The players are unmotivated and lazy. He demoted his OC, and wouldn't let him leave for a new job. Had a huge drama-filled falling out with the DC. Is it bad drafting? maybe. It's just crazy how in multiple drafts the coaches are unable to develop anyone.
I don’t think the picks of Kayvon and Neal are busts, the Giants coaching and development is. That’s why we see so many giants players leave and end up balling out. This is coming from a giants fan
Eagles should sign Jones for the vet minimum and convert him to TE. He's 6'5" 230lbs and can run a decent bit. I'm sure he'd love to catch TDs against the Giants.
No one thought it was a good idea to draft him that high and they drafted him that high. No one thought it was a good idea to pay him so many years at that amount a year and they did it anyway. It’s not hard to figure out why the Giants aren’t good.
I know you don't mean it like that, but that "specially as Lamar Jackson as his QB" is bad considering he'll most likely finish the season in the top5 in passing yards. Still loved the video!
blame the owner. same guy ruined the last 10 years of Eli's career. no one can ever explain how the giants allowed the Jones gamble to completely ruin the team. you try to replace jones this year in the draft, fail to and then go into the season with a backup you dont trust to take a snap and a third string non-nfl talent who doesnt even practice? that alone is fireable. the giants are now a failed business not just a team and if it was any other industry would go out of business or be bought.
The Giants drafting WanDale Robinson and Kadarius Toney is pretty telling. I think they fell in love with the idea of a speedy shifty slot receiver and overlooked anyone that didn't fit that mold.
Remember when they traded all their good players from their playoff team for Browns players? They decided to become the Browns, and are now cursed to be the Browns.
It's primarily an owner problem but the four major components to a winning football team in no particular order are the QB, HC, GM, and Owner. One or more of those guys performing at an elite level can cover up for some incompetence but it can only go so far. John Mara is a 3rd generation nepo baby owner who started off with Eli Manning playing fairly well and Tom Coughlin as a good HC. The roster really started falling apart 10-12 years ago, Eli was slowly declining, and Coughlin seemed to lose a little edge as well. It's obvious that John Mara doesn't have the same football acumen his father did (why else have the GM/HCs since Accorsi/Coughlin left been a nightmare?) but it does seem like he has enough of an ego that he needs to involve himself and other family members in day to day operations. The Giants won't get better unless they get lucky and draft a generational talent at QB to cover up for the rest of the roster/coaching incompetence or John Mara maybe finally decides to not get involved in ANY of the GM hiring process. Seriously, this man needs to just hire a 3rd party to do a GM search because it is quite obvious this guy has no idea what to look for in a GM/HC in the NFL. Until then, my Giants are just going to continue to be a bottom 5 team in the league
How did the Giants became a disaster? One name: Dave Gettleman. Even though there are a lot of problems with the Giants, former GM Dave Gettleman gets singled out for the boneheaded decisions he made to build the roster. I need to stress: the Giants were already on the decline as Eli Manning winds up his playing career, but what Gettleman did during his tenure as GM only hastened the descent of the Giants to the bottom of the League. Under his tenure, the Giants only won 19 out of 65 games, he left major holes in the roster which his successor is still trying to fill, this team's cap space is screwed due to the dead cap money stemming from the lucrative contracts he gave to mediocre players, and this guy was allowed to retire with dignity when other incompetent GMs get the pink slip for their screw-ups.
To be fair Deonte had a solid year last year… defense as a whole has been horrible this year besides dex. Every one has under performed even okereke and he was top 5 at his position last year… it’s clearly a coaching issue
if i were the giants, first thing is firing joe shane. he’s clearly just not a good gm. let go of countless great players and decided to pay a bottom 3 qb over the best rb in football. sadly even tho i don’t think he should be fired. id probably fire daboll to just get a fresh new start. hes definitely not the issue but i just think they need to move on from anything/ anyone that had any part with that whole 2019-2024. next i’m definitely building this team in the trenches. i don’t think there is a standout qb in the draft that will warrant them using their top 5 pick on besides shedeur but he’s not gonna be there. I think the defense is better than what we give them credit for. yes their secondary is weak but

Been a Giant fan so long I learned the basics of the Perkins offense in Pop Warner. When they couldn't get Murray they should have passed on a QB (including Haskins). But everyone loves the damn runners. And that's NOT revisionist history. This yr if we can't get Nussmeier or Sanders (passers!) I bet they go for back-foot Ward or Milroe who hide deficiencies with their legs and the merry-go-mediocre will continue. I totally understand the misses on the O-line but I have 0 faith in Daboll/Schoen after drafting/extending Jones and letting a huge locker room presence and contributor like Barkley walk. They should all be fired. Rebuild the damn lines get a QB later or a bridge.
I feel bad for Giants fans. It's been a rough going for my Broncos for years, but we were never this bad. These Giants are just all around bad to put it lightly.
I'm a Broncos fan too, and we weren't consistently bad for 8 consecutive years, but 2017 and 2022 were awful years for us (especially 2022). I'd say 2022 was about as bad as the Giants are now, seeing as how our offense couldn't get much going and score points.
As a fan of the Giants. I think it’s time to move on from Daboll and Schoen. Clean house and let the new regime take over. The new DC is trash. Need to address the secondary in free agency. Try to get another good receiver in free agency. Get more OL depth. Draft a DT2. And QB will depend on the new regime. If they love a QB in the draft then cool get him. Coming from a Giants fan, that’s an insult
…
to dogshit
MUSTAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRD oh hey football analysis uploaded :D
Hyatt nd wandale would be good if they had a qb to throw it to them
If the Raiders go the path of firing or demoting AP and are in position to draft a QB of their choice like it looks like they will be, I feel like that’d be a good option for Ben Johnson. Telesco isn’t perfect but he gave us elite and starting level players at skill positions in his first draft. I think Johnson would do well to really build a new QB and tailor an offense to them with the talent we have already.
“Zay Flowers’s numbers will probably always be limited.” Guess you didn’t realize that he currently is the fifth leading receiver in the league.
As a Giants fan, I look forward to you posting a video like this in some shape or form every year 😂
11:05: EXACTLY! The coach of the Bears should NEVER have been brought back this year. And now look what has happened.
They got to find a way to put more points on the board, and stop the other teams from scoring so much
So basically playing the sport of football 😂
Exactly. Are they just stupid?
Thanks booger
Excellent!! This is a guy who does his homework 🙌🏾💪🏽
As a Giants fan, I hope we lose out. First pick with 60 mil in cap space with a chance at either a top QB or Travis Hunter. Not a horrible situation
I don’t think the picks of Kayvon and Neal are busts, the Giants coaching and development is. That’s why we see so many giants players leave and end up balling out. This is coming from a giants fan
Get rid of the Mara as director of player personnel
Not starting this video with gettelman being a stain on the organization is criminal.
Eagles should sign Jones for the vet minimum and convert him to TE. He's 6'5" 230lbs and can run a decent bit. I'm sure he'd love to catch TDs against the Giants.
Saquon at 2 then jones at 6 was horrific
I really hope the giants dont fire Daboll, but its beginning to look like hes totally lost the locker room
Not to mention losing Xavier McKinney who is arguably a DPOY candidate
No one thought it was a good idea to draft him that high and they drafted him that high. No one thought it was a good idea to pay him so many years at that amount a year and they did it anyway. It’s not hard to figure out why the Giants aren’t good.
You can have good process with what you use draft picks on, but they have to be good players
Been a great half decade for New York football! Now New Jersey football on the other hand…
zays numbers will be limited with the dude leading the league in passing yards😭😭😭 make it make sense bro
As a giants fan I would give that a rating of painful but fair
I said the same thing about wandale. Yes he’s a good player but he’s not even on the same stratosphere as Pickens.
Drafting DJ cuz he look like Eli is crazy
Thank you Giants! Thank you Giants! Go Birds!
Wandale at least is pretty decent though.
OMG NYC Football is pathetic. So much merch won't be sold because of this.
Joe schoen is the worst gm of all time possibly, team took a complete nosedive since he took over. And the team was going downhill before he came too
Remember when they traded all their good players from their playoff team for Browns players?
Blame the owner for delaying a rebuild because Eli Manning something something …
Remember when you were hyping up jones all offseason and I warned you lmao
Every one has under performed even okereke and he was top 5 at his position last year… it’s clearly a coaching issue
build the Oline for the love of god. Forget everything else for a second, they gonna repeat the bad if they do not address fixing that terrible oline
Where is George Young now that we REALLY need him?!
It's tough, cause what were they gonna do not sign the QB that just won a playoff game for them
This is just the giants curse
Tommy Devito 🤌🤌🤌
Kenny Golladay was the ultimate downfall
But if they don't get there QB now then when will they? They're at a point where they have to take what they can.
The coach and GM need to go. How can you rebuild if you keep them?
if i were the giants, first thing is firing joe shane. he’s clearly just not a good gm. let go of countless great players and decided to pay a bottom 3 qb over the best rb in football. sadly even tho i don’t think he should be fired. id probably fire daboll to just get a fresh new start. hes definitely not the issue but i just think they need to move on from anything/ anyone that had any part with that whole 2019-2024. next i’m definitely building this team in the trenches. i don’t think there is a standout qb in the draft that will warrant them using their top 5 pick on besides shedeur but he’s not gonna be there.
I miss the Coughlin and Manning era.
11:15 teams dont make that mistake bc they know that the franchise tag exists. Not everyone is as dumb as the giants bruh
If kellen Moore leaves the eagles. And Daboll gets fired. Eagles should hire him as O.C.
I feel bad for Giants fans. It's been a rough going for my Broncos for years, but we were never this bad. These Giants are just all around bad to put it lightly.
Never this bad ? wtf are you talking about ? When was your last intervention ? Maybe we should stage another, when was ur last CAT scan ?
I'm a Broncos fan too, and we weren't consistently bad for 8 consecutive years, but 2017 and 2022 were awful years for us (especially 2022). I'd say 2022 was about as bad as the Giants are now, seeing as how our offense couldn't get much going and score points.
No one cares at this point which is a massive reason why the tank is happening, look at #58 on that massive Bucky Irving rush as the perfect example.
Jets 🤝 Giants

Disaster in NY
am i the only Eagles fan who saw this video and let out an evil laugh??? just me??? okay
Sold their soul for those two Super Bowls over Brady.
crying bc we suck
happy bc football analysis is talking about us
Ask Mara
He’s the common thread
He should be able to fill u in
Please make a Rams video bro
I like the new intro
I like his content more
And the Jets aren't?
Ben Johnson is a Bear
As a fan of the Giants. I think it’s time to move on from Daboll and Schoen. Clean house and let the new regime take over. The new DC is trash. Need to address the secondary in free agency. Try to get another good receiver in free agency. Get more OL depth. Draft a DT2. And QB will depend on the new regime. If they love a QB in the draft then cool get him. If not, sign a vet, like Jimmy G and try and get a QB in 2026 draft.
Jimmy g 😭😭😭
Hate being a fan of this team
I like the intro!
