Hire Jesse minter as HC, promote Brandon brown to GM, draft BPA for once in their damned life, and do literally anything to make sure we don’t have a CFL QB room.
free medium sodas for everybody!!!! No really, just burn it all down. New coach, new GM and let them go with their QB pick. Honestly, think the GM pick will be more important for them, the Gettleman thing was obviously a mistake at the time, don't do that again.
If I'm the Giants, I build on the lines outward. Teams like the Eagles and Chiefs are consistently good because their lines are usually pretty solid. The Lions can do whatever the eff they want on offense because Goff has all day to park his car or give the keys to Monty and Gibby to have fun with it. Winning the trenches = sustained success.
The giants have unfortunately used the most draft capital among all teams to invest in the lines the last almost decade, their coaching has just sucked so bad and been unable to develop players. Andrew Thomas is an anomaly, and it wasn't until their most recent oline coach they've seen any good development.

A lot of top analysts, especially independent analysts (such as Brett Kollman) said Thibodeaux was not a good prospect. He didn't have much for pass rushing moves, and he wasn't a great run defender. He basically stat padded vs bad teams, and he had a great combine score. He was very raw. One of those 'elite athleticism; high ceiling but low floor' type players. Those tend to be better to draft OUTSIDE of the first round. The mainstream analysts always overrate the combine when giving their grades and projections. It's intentional, btw. They get paid off views, and those analysts don't have much for off-season content outside of the combine and draft, so ofc they always overrate the combine.
Be careful with the "analysts". Most don't know much more than you or me. They don't watch nearly enough film and don't have the expertise to make these judgements. The one guy who I found credible was Mike Mayock.
Eagles fan here. We all know about Barkley, but another key loss the Giants messed up on is Xavier McKinney who’s now tearing it up on the Packers. He doesn’t get as much recognition as he should tbh.
Yeah but Nubin has been playing well for some reason we always have good safeties lol weather it be Landon Collins McKinney or nubin although I was frustrated we let McKinney walk
This was not a mistake letting him go. We would still be horrible with him. The mistake was not trading him before he left and not putting the money we saved by not signing him to good use.
Those hard knocks clips of the Giants GM is living proof there’s people in positions of many occupations of the world that shouldn’t be in those positions.
The GM clearly wants to be the smartest person in the room, and he clearly doesn't want to listen to his head coach. He routinely undermined his head coach and favored listening to the defensive coordinator. His ego is what hurt the Giants in the offseason. I feel bad for Daboll, tbh. He really does seem smart. Obviously he is a bit arrogant, but he is a very smart guy. His GM is just a POS.
DeVito - Lock - Boyle. that right there, folks, is the QB room of a team who plays in the BIGGEST fucking city in America. it actually makes me feel despondent.
@@blnt4ce Easton Stick kept finding work so it didn't surprise me. I'm still not sure why they brought Lock in if they have no intention of letting the dude do his job. He would've stayed in Seattle if they had not offered him that paycheck because he felt they were going to let him get a chance if Jones faltered again. Instead Seattle went and got itself a young player to groom with starter experience behind Geno and Lock earned nothing but a deeper paycheck.
When we get down to the last 3 games of the season, teams that will make the playoff's will bench their starters so they won't get hurt. That's when the Giants will seize the moment and win their last 3 games and put them out of contention in the draft for a #1 pick. History shows this. No reason to think it'll change.
The steelers are also stuck in the old NFL mentality with their huge desire to run thr ball. Except with that franchise they have a nasty defense and their idea just works. Unlike the giants
@deemity7557 Saquon was averaging about 40 yards per game for us. Tyrone Tracy is averaging about the same. Tell my why paying Saquon 50 times what Tracy is getting makes sense to you. And Jones will be just fine on the next team he goes to...wait and see.
@@MrHand-ih4szit doesn’t. It only looks bad because Saquon went to a divisional rival with a much better o line. He didn’t justify a contract in NY, and I doubt anyone say Barkley having a historic year after his lackluster production for most of his career in NY. The thing is Giants fans look at what could’ve been instead of what is or what was. Saquon wasn’t all that amazing in NY, and he didn’t beat the Vikings in the wildcard round. Jones may suck but he was far more valuable than saquon to the giants
im a giants fan, and i literally just want any sort of constancy, imagine averaging 9 wins a season?!? that's all i want. just any sort of competitive team year in and year out.
As a giants fan, every year I have to explain to people that we're building for next year. It's getting tiring. In the time that we have sucked the Eagles have gone from a poverty franchise to a juggernaut and we still can't fix the offensive line that has stunk since Eli was here
Now I agree with you about the gm....letting Barkley walk for nothing....and the way he handled it on hard knocks I think was soooo stupid! Barkley in that phone call you could hear his frustration with the gm......with that being said I think daboll can still be a good coach ...I think he's been hamstrung by his gm a lot. I do not think hes the best coach ever....but I believe there are teams with way worse coaches that are probably still going to be employed next year.
The Giants are so out of touch with modern NFL players, who knew that having Daniel Jones be a scout team safety and starting a popular 3rd stringer over the backup wouldn't light the lockeroom on fire, maybe it would have been a good idea to trade Barkley midway last year to reduce the odds of him signing with Philly, perhaps we shoulda gambled on one of the Quarterbacks this draft because getting one next year would result in a record bad enough that the General Manager and Head Coach probably lose their jobs.
we’re a big market team that wants to operate as a small one, although we have zero resources dedicated towards player development. we swear no one has talent, then they go somewhere else and prove they’re a star. no one’s really put in a position to succeed. We also have zero direction, and the majority of fans are (sadly) VERY casual. We’ve also been hiring historically bad GMs since good ol’ Tom & the culture has constantly been the biggest talking point.
Drafting Saquon Barkley 2nd overall was their biggest blunder since bottoming out after 2016. Doesn’t matter how productive Barkley’s been, drafting a running back with the 2nd pick is an absurd move when your roster needs a full scale rebuild. Had they taken Josh Allen or traded down for Lamar Jackson, they wouldn’t have been in position to reach for Daniel Jones the following year.
@@MrRyan-wu4jx You dont take a RB 2nd overall when your team needs a full rebuild, its not about Barkleys talent.....youd know that if you knew anything about football......that awful franchise has won a SB in every decade since the 80's. 🤡 🤡
@@MrRyan-wu4jx And how good were we with him? You have no idea how to build a team and when your team has a bad year, you will be whining worse than us, who have had 10 bad years.
Holy shit someone talked about the Giants ACTUAL problem in a clear and concise manner Yes, the Barkley stuff is bad. But he didn't want to be a Giant after they chose to extend Jones instead of him. He wanted out in 2023 and he chose to leave. (That is a critical miscalculation of course on Joe Schoen's end, but it happened in 2022, NOT 2023. You could even argue he wanted out in 2022 because the Giants tried over the bye week to extend him twice and he denied both offers) But the absolute failing of 90% of draft picks in 2022 and 2023 is abysmal. Hopefully over the next few seasons they can right the ship with a good process. I still like Daboll, I can see the foundations of a good scheme. But there's no execution or consistency behind his playcalling or the team's general flow. Honestly Schoen should just be gone by the end of the season, and it will be very tumultuous if Mara wants to keep Daboll but not Schoen, vice versa, or if he treats them like a package deal. Hard to say, but this definitely feels like rock bottom
@@adamdrach3894 I mean...yes? Exactly? He was offered a few contracts and whether they weren't to Barkley's standard or he just wasn't interested in becoming a Giant for life, he wanted to leave in 2023. the POINT is the Giants should have been preparing for life without Barkley for a long time and never did because of a lack of proper drafting and evaluation. And now it's exploding in their face
I don't think the Barkley thing is as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The Giants wouldn't be +2 wins with Saquon this year. The o-line sucks, the pass game isn't respected and even with all that, Tyrone Tracy is doing just fine. Would Barkley be better? Sure. But they'd be paying him more than 10x the price of Tracy. The Eagles could maximize Barkley in what's likely the last 2-3 years of his prime while the Giants couldn't and outside of fan service, it just doesn't make sense to have pay for a rockstar RB on an otherwise buttcheeks team. Jones is bad and they knew he was bad. The o-line is bad. The defense is mid at best. The only bright spots on offense are Malik Nabors, who is constantly trashing the organization publicly, and Tyrone Tracy. Literally every other position is average at best, and outright terrible at worst.
They have a culture and development problem. Look at the eagles with a guy like Jalen Carter and they revamped bectons career. Dan Campbell helped changed the lions culture and the giants will need to make serious changes to get back to where they used to be
Basically the fear is the giants doing 2019 all over again… a coach and GM on the hot seat, overdraft a QB to save their jobs, suck the first year then get fired. Don’t do this cycle again… start off with a fresh GM and coach and let them pick their QB to build around
It's not just the QB either. Whenever you do that, you risk the players that could be good for the regime before being totally worthless in the next regime. That was the problem for the Browns for years, not just the reset at QB every couple years, but the constant scheme changes offensively defensively just killed that team of any direction.
The stupidest thing you can do is make a move everyone is telling you it won’t work and say you know it will work then over invest in it then not only prove them 100% right but have no backup plan.
I don’t think the picks of Kayvon and Neal are busts, the Giants coaching and development is. That’s why we see so many giants players leave and end up balling out. This is coming from a giants fan
Joe Mara needs to hire a president of football operations and have them clean house and hire a whole new staff that can develop talent properly - including new scouts, development coaches, etc. Because when you're missing on that many 1st round picks it points to an organizational issue rather than a player one. Also will need to start fresh with a new GM and head coach.
I dont have a problem with the drafting. I have a problem with player development once you have a rookie there is a learning curve and the coaches need to yeach them, and i have a problem with free agents and trades particularly letting proven players leave your building in, Julian Love, Adore Jackson, Xavier McKinney, Sequan Barkley lenord Williams. Trading a pick for Waller only to retire.
If I'm the Giants owner, both Daboll and Schein are gone based solely on the Daniel Jones saga. It's absolutely mind-blowing to see a below average QB get paid that insane amount of money.
I remember watching the 2019 NFL draft while I was in Blioxi, Mississippi. Dave Gettlemen selected Daniel Jones with the 6th pick. I was all for it until they mentioned that he came from Duke University. I said oh no. The NFL draft analyst went in on him in a bad way. The nail in the coffin was the viral clips of anger from Giants RUclips content creators. The question now is what coach and general manager that comes into this losing culture where every coach got fired by season three tops?
The Giants are literally a QB and not having constant injuries on offense away from being a good team. Then on defense they just have to get some hits in the secondary, and they're fine. This season may be a disaster, but when the team is literally one position and not being really unlucky with injuries away from being good, it's not a bad situation.
This might be the first time I can say that this everyone’s fault but the coach. I think Daboll could be good, but he’s surrounded by dummies and bad players
Its amazing how so many non-Giants fans are saying this and yet there are Giants fans insisting he’s one of the main issues for the whole organization overall. Its insane lol
@@silversoulken Because it's easier to blame One Guy than many. None of you knows what's going on behind the scenes. The Giants were a mess *_before_* Daboll got there & they had a bump that went better with him. Who else can you say that about?
I think the worse thing that happened to the Giants was making the playoffs the first season under the coach. It made the team think he fixed Jones and team rewarded Jones a new contract.
When the Giants GM & HC forced out Wink and let Barkley walk, they lost the heart and soul of this team. They tossed the OL coach out and had to overpay Kafka to stay, avoiding the optics of a full blown mutiny. These guys are a clown show. They can't blame, Wink, Kafka, Bobby Johnson or DJ anymore. Fire the GM & HC!!!
One of the hardest things to deal with is constant injuries. Andrew Thomas can't stay healthy. Not sure if it all turf issue or what, but when you spend a dump truck full of money on a player or 2 and they get hurt every season, that will be a constant downer.
How did this happen? Hmmm.... lets see. They drafted a spectacular running back and a capable QB. They put them behind an offensive line that would get pushed around by a solid high school squad. Throw in some undisciplined offensive penalties, dropped passes, terrible blocking, and a healthy dose of bad play calling. Then, blame all of that on the QB, throw him out the door, and expect all that other stuff to change. Thats how.
Soon as they paid Jones, alike some other Quarterback deals I knew they just buried themselves. The Wilson deal, the Watson deal, Jones, Tua. All these guys were HEAVILY overpaid with different levels of baggage.
They fired Ben Mcadoo in 2017 during the season , a year after they made the playoffs. If they lose to Dallas and New Orleans, they should fire Daboll before the season ends
I’d actually argue it was headed uphill from a roster standpoint (aside from DJ). Shoen came in and let they’re best players/leaders leave for Pennies. Couple that with 2 mediocre 1st drafts and free agencies and you see what we have now. One good draft is not an excuse to keep this tandem going forward I’m sorry.
Remember when they traded all their good players from their playoff team for Browns players? They decided to become the Browns, and are now cursed to be the Browns.
@@silversoulken So? When does he think he's gonna prove he can be a starter, in 2030? He has to find a team with receivers who can catch passes _NOW_ or hope he looks good in practice next year with what team? Look at Justin Fields. Every single negative thing said about him is wrong all the way from "he can't read defenses" (ruclips.net/video/QuhUbISnr8s/видео.html proves he actually reads them at an Elevated Level) to his receiving corps carried him in college (they measured QB accuracy which is how _little_ receivers have to move to adjust to throws & Fields *set **_records!_* So it's literally The Opposite, _he_ carried THEM)! But even NFL coaches & GMs are incapable of distinguishing what's him, what's his receivers & what's due to his play-callers. Did Jones just have a better part of a year than Fields?
First order of business when they both got hired was to move Jones and Barkley at all cost to guarantee a hard reset, they didn't do that and the consequences have been dire.
It's primarily an owner problem but the four major components to a winning football team in no particular order are the QB, HC, GM, and Owner. One or more of those guys performing at an elite level can cover up for some incompetence but it can only go so far. John Mara is a 3rd generation nepo baby owner who started off with Eli Manning playing fairly well and Tom Coughlin as a good HC. The roster really started falling apart 10-12 years ago, Eli was slowly declining, and Coughlin seemed to lose a little edge as well. It's obvious that John Mara doesn't have the same football acumen his father did (why else have the GM/HCs since Accorsi/Coughlin left been a nightmare?) but it does seem like he has enough of an ego that he needs to involve himself and other family members in day to day operations. The Giants won't get better unless they get lucky and draft a generational talent at QB to cover up for the rest of the roster/coaching incompetence or John Mara maybe finally decides to not get involved in ANY of the GM hiring process. Seriously, this man needs to just hire a 3rd party to do a GM search because it is quite obvious this guy has no idea what to look for in a GM/HC in the NFL. Until then, my Giants are just going to continue to be a bottom 5 team in the league
It actually starts and ends with Saquon. If we had taken Josh Allen at number 2 rather than Barkley, we never would have reached for Jones at 6 the following year. Thus we would never have come to depend on Saquon to be our offense. That’s where it really started. Everything since then has been a reaction/over correction.
Insert Josh Allen behind the Giants offensive line, and he ceases to be Josh Allen. He becomes a mediocre QB running for his life, with fans calling for him to be benched!!
My biggest “yell at the screen” moment in this regime is taking Banks with Porter Jr on the board. Called that banks was not cb1 material from draft day. He had no ball skills and college and still has yet to figure out how to attack the ball yet him being a freak athlete
The Giants biggest mistake of the past decade was selecting Saquon Barkley at #2 overall when they could have selected the highest rated QB (according to Mel Kiper Jr) of the draft in Josh Allen. To be fair, his sub 60% completion rate in college was a legitimate concern. But they knew they needed a QB as Eli was near the end. If they weren't sold on any of the QBs that year, trading down could have netted themselves a bunch of high value picks. But if they weren't sold on Allen (Or Darnold, Rosen, or Lamar Jackson who all went in round 1), how could they have possibly been sold on Daniel Jones?
Yet hes 6th in receiving despite having played 1 more game than most of the rest of the league and he’s averaging the fewest yards per game of any of the top 10 receivers… so yea limited. On account of his low talent level…
What do we think the Giants should do? How about don’t draft a QB that NO ONE thought had first round potential. Daniel Jones had no business ever being a starting QB in the NFL. That was the beginning of the end.
I disagree with the giants having a lot of holes on the team, really only missing boundary corners, a healthy oline, qb and a coach they are inspired to play for, they need to fire their staff but compared to the Raiders who have very little talent, the giants have a much better roster to play with
i hope i’m wrong but Thibodeuax is one of my greatest “what ifs.” ik it’s only year 3 for him but based on the flashes we’ve seen bro really could have been an all-pro D-Lineman by this point in his career, and it feels like he’s constantly being held back by bad coaching and having to carry the defense (besides Lawrence). i hope they trade him for picks and he balls out somewhere else bc i think he’s a criminally underrated player rn and i’ll be upset if the Giants ruined his career
Quarterback and Offensive line are the main focus of the 2025 NFL Draft for the New York Giants. Without winning the trenches you aren’t winning anything. First round = quarterback. Their second pick should be an offensive lineman. 3rd pick should a be a DB or DL.
If the Raiders go the path of firing or demoting AP and are in position to draft a QB of their choice like it looks like they will be, I feel like that’d be a good option for Ben Johnson. Telesco isn’t perfect but he gave us elite and starting level players at skill positions in his first draft. I think Johnson would do well to really build a new QB and tailor an offense to them with the talent we have already.
I remember when they picked thibodeaux, my brother and I said “ well there goes this season!” He’s a wasted pick, so much so that they changed his position to save face. They even tried comparing him to Michael Stratham, like bro he’s 4 inches shorter and 260 wet
Hard knocks had me thinking the linemen they picked up was gonna be a start of sum beautiful. I was fooled . Canoodled. Jestered. Clowned. Ok I’m done 😂
you cant really blame the Giants for drafting Thibodeaux or Neal. I wouldnt have expected both so much underperforming. The big mistake was the huge overpaid contract for Jones, a neck breaker for Giant's salary cap
You couldn’t tell this just by watching Hard Knocks? It was pretty obvious they were in trouble before they started. They don’t have the coaching. They don’t have the front office. All this affects personnel. They’re sick from the top-down.
I would argue the draft process has been mixed...Schoen has definitely been a needs-based drafter, especially with the Schmitz selection. The 2024 draft class argument doesn't make much sense either, since it's been 12 games. Nabers and Tracy look like great hits, but the others have had good moments but it's too early to declare them building blocks. The 2024 draft definitely shows Schoen's need-based draft approach, and I'm with you that they should fire both Schoen and Daboll.
A lot of fans complain about their team trading up, but the Giants demonstrated exactly what can happen if you don’t. Brad Holmes has been criticized a great deal, even by Lions fans, for trading up to get the guy he wants. The Lions are pretty particular about the kind of players that they want, especially in terms of character so I completely support what they are doing. Justifiable when you look at the quality of the past four Lions drafts. Also, the Lions have an outstanding coaching staff which is key to the proper development and use of these young men. I don’t think the Giants are in the Lions class in that area.
What do you do with Andrew Thomas, Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence because those three guys are entering a window of prime years (hopefully Thomas can stay healthy) do you trade them for picks or do you see if they become pillars of the teams future.
Draft QB and OL. Daniel jones was a disaster pick NO scouts or any college fans thought Duke's stupid QB was a top 6 pick. Trust your scouts, trust your process. Gettlemen overruled all his, because he said in his words: 1 series in Senior Bowl. The midround QB pick showcase.
The problem is 100% coaching. JMS looked like a really decent center as a rookie but fell off heavy toward the end of the year. Neal and KT were both projected to be first-overall picks at one point. Dante Banks was playing really well last year then fell off a cliff. Daniel Bellinger looked great. Players were calling him the next-best tight end, and now he hardly sees the field. Daboll is a loser, the playoff game against the Eagles was so pathetic. He gave up after the first quarter. He continues to give up if the game is more than a score. He plays for field goals. The players are unmotivated and lazy. He demoted his OC, and wouldn't let him leave for a new job. Had a huge drama-filled falling out with the DC. Is it bad drafting? maybe. It's just crazy how in multiple drafts the coaches are unable to develop anyone.
No one thought it was a good idea to draft him that high and they drafted him that high. No one thought it was a good idea to pay him so many years at that amount a year and they did it anyway. It’s not hard to figure out why the Giants aren’t good.
It's nice to hear an outside observation of the Giants current situation. A lot of fans (especially those under 30) have questionable takes. The disastrous drafts of 2022 and 2023 are just part of the problem. The drafts since SBXLVI have mostly been bad. They have struck out on 2 GMs and 4 coaches since Coughlin/Reese left. Free agent signings have been generally bad. We don't know if the players are all that bad or is the development also poor? At the end of the day, the common denominator is John Mara. Just like his father, he has no idea how to run this organization. After a dreadful 15 years, Pete Rozelle forced Wellington Mara to take on George Young. That lead to 2 Super Bowl wins. After Young, we had his protege, Ernie Accorsi take over and eventually 2 more Super Bowl wins. Jerry Reese did ok for a few years but then things started going downhill. If the Giants don't hire someone who cleans up the organization, this isn't going to get better. I've been a fan for 40 seasons now and I miss having this team be relevant.
The problem is if they don’t get Ward or Sanders when in position to do so they’ll get killed for not doing so and then will put more pressure on themselves because the following year is no guarantee they’ll be in top position to draft their quarterback. The NFL is strange that way where some other team challenges you for the mediocrity of being the worst to pick ahead of you in any year. So expect a Ward or Sanders call on draft day, which I don’t think is terrible depending on who’s there to build them up. Everything remains to be seen.
As you said, they’ve had good process in the draft. As opposed to the previous regime that consistently had bad process in the draft and in free agency, albeit with two big time corner stone draft pieces in Dex and AT. I don’t think you undue a decade of problems in 3 years when things aren’t breaking your way. People take time to develop, whether it’s a player, coach, or GM. Whatever happens happens but I think Dabes in a good coach.
Being QB needy at the moment is hell on its own. Let alone being as desperate as the giants. Bang average to below average QB draft class. Whoever they pick is going to need a lot of time to develop. Add to that the need for an elite O-line that they don’t have. The team is fully rebuilding once again. Expect some pain giants fans. Years of pain.
Hey, this was a really good, deep, rational view of what’s really happening with the Giants. I’m on a lot of Giants fan sites and there’s so much Daniel Jones is the problem Bullshit happening, even from the hosts. it’s like you don’t see Evan Neil getting run over and John Michael Schmidt getting run over? You don’t see all the drop balls? Missed tackles? like this is a terrible team. And yes, Jones is a casualty probably part bad coaching part being booed all the time, etc. etc. but whatever it is, he had to go, but certainly nobody thought it was gonna get better. Once he was gone, except it seems people did. Anyway, great video. I liked it.
I know you don't mean it like that, but that "specially as Lamar Jackson as his QB" is bad considering he'll most likely finish the season in the top5 in passing yards. Still loved the video!
There is so much wrong with how this organization is run, you can't really fit it all into a 15 minute video. Coaching is bad, cap is bad, drafts are bad, player evaluation is bad, player development is bad, FA is bad...you name it, it's bad.
2022 was an outlier. They were fortunate to get in the playoffs with a 9-7-1 record. They lost some good talent with Leonard Williams- whom they never replaced with his quality, Xavier Mckinney, Saqon Barkley, Julian Love. You can't lose good players and replace them with less quality. This is patrically the problem with this Giants current regime and why the Giants suck.
What do you think the Giants should do? 🤔

Obviously he is a bit arrogant, but he is a very smart guy. His GM is just a POS.
DeVito - Lock - Boyle. that right there, folks, is the QB room of a team who plays in the BIGGEST fucking city in America. it actually makes me feel despondent.
Its funny how boyle always finds a way to another roster, despite being trash in pretty much every game he's ever played
It sucked ass with Forrest Gump Jones too.
Giants paid Lock 5 million dollars to hold a clipboard, decisions like that are part of why this team is a joke.
Don't forget y'all picked Kamala, too.
Giants need to clean house again and restart the rebuild process. Wish we could fire our owner too. Hes a moron and still stuck in the old school nfl
he absolutley is a POS! i wish he would sell the god damn team.
There is two owners but the public face Mara. Complete moron
Mara is going to destroy the Giants “Franchise” by keeping Daboll & Schoen!! Plain and simple…
Picking Daniel Jones in the top 10 was the dumbest draft move of the century
Not as bad as Ryan Leaf
@douggotley7169 Putting ANY quarterback behind the Giants offensive line and expecting success is the dumbest move of the century.
@@MrHand-ih4sznah. Danny Derps is still awful. Paying him over Saquon is downright embarrassing. Poverty franchise gonna poverty franchise

When the assistant GM should of stayed the assistant. When the coach should of stayed an OC

Daboll is not the giants issue lmfao
As a non giants fan I don’t think daboll is the issue
The coach is legit. Remember he took the squad with DJ as qb to the playoffs lol
Yeah exactly. Focusing entirely on this regime does not due the situation justice.
The only good thing you guys had in a decade and you still can’t stop acting like it wasn’t. Awful franchise with garbage fans.

Holy shit someone talked about the Giants ACTUAL problem in a clear and concise manner
Yes, the Barkley stuff is bad. But he didn't want to be a Giant after they chose to extend Jones instead of him. He wanted out in 2023 and he chose to leave. (That is a critical miscalculation of course on Joe Schoen's end, but it happened in 2022, NOT 2023. You could even argue he wanted out in 2022 because the Giants tried over the bye week to extend him twice and he denied both offers)
But the absolute failing of 90% of draft picks in 2022 and 2023 is abysmal.
Bro Barkley was offered more contracts than jones and turned down each one stop it already
@@adamdrach3894 They were undercutting and insisting he wouldn't do well in free agency. Idiots
It felt rock bottom 3 yrs ago with Joe judge
Dan Campbell helped changed the lions culture and the giants will need to make serious changes to get back to where they used to be
Didn’t they have the opportunity to hire him in 2021?
I'd replace the personnel/scouting depts. The common thread is selecting the wrong football players. (And coaching, of course.)
I wouldn’t say complete disaster. The head coach and GM still have a job. The Jets are showing them how it’s done.
the jets r actually in an unironically better position than us right now
@@ITJustMeKG How?
@@ITJustMeKGLOL. No there not.
Not what happened dumbass
It's simple. Start wearing the gray pants again.
Also will need to start fresh with a new GM and head coach.
i want my grandaddy Coughlin back :(
I dont have a problem with the drafting.
Not starting this video with gettelman being a stain on the organization is criminal.
Yall aren’t ready to accept that even if Shadeur goes there it’s not going to get any better.
Love your videos and appreciate your work, Ty
Yeah this guy is really impressive.
Glad you enjoy thank you!!!

He’s in charge of getting 53 guys ready to play every week and he’s been terrible at it.

Giants, we love and thank you🦅
You an eagles fan?
How did this happen? Hmmm.... lets see. They drafted a spectacular running back and a capable QB. They put them behind an offensive line that would get pushed around by a solid high school squad. Throw in some undisciplined offensive penalties, dropped passes, terrible blocking, and a healthy dose of bad play calling. Then, blame all of that on the QB, throw him out the door, and expect all that other stuff to change. Thats how.

There's 100% a development issue with the players.
Soon as they paid Jones, alike some other Quarterback deals I knew they just buried themselves. The Wilson deal, the Watson deal, Jones, Tua. All these guys were HEAVILY overpaid with different levels of baggage.
A decade of bad drafting. FULL STOP
They fired Ben Mcadoo in 2017 during the season , a year after they made the playoffs. If they lose to Dallas and New Orleans, they should fire Daboll before the season ends
Joe schoen is the worst gm of all time possibly, team took a complete nosedive since he took over. And the team was going downhill before he came too
I’d actually argue it was headed uphill from a roster standpoint (aside from DJ).

First order of business when they both got hired was to move Jones and Barkley at all cost to guarantee a hard reset, they didn't do that and the consequences have been dire.
Been a great half decade for New York football! Now New Jersey football on the other hand…
I think you’re being too kind… the giants are a dogshit organization… that’s the truth.
As a New York Giants football fan I approve this message.
Coming from a Giants fan, that’s an insult

This is by far the best breakdown I've heard of this disastrous Giants tenure
It actually starts and ends with Saquon. If we had taken Josh Allen at number 2 rather than Barkley, we never would have reached for Jones at 6 the following year. Thus we would never have come to depend on Saquon to be our offense. That’s where it really started. Everything since then has been a reaction/over correction.
Insert Josh Allen behind the Giants offensive line, and he ceases to be Josh Allen. He becomes a mediocre QB running for his life, with fans calling for him to be benched!!
Excellent!! This is a guy who does his homework 🙌🏾💪🏽

But if they weren't sold on Allen (Or Darnold, Rosen, or Lamar Jackson who all went in round 1), how could they have possibly been sold on Daniel Jones?
zays numbers will be limited with the dude leading the league in passing yards😭😭😭 make it make sense bro
Yet hes 6th in receiving despite having played 1 more game than most of the rest of the league and he’s averaging the fewest yards per game of any of the top 10 receivers… so yea limited. On account of his low talent level…
Cue the Derp Song
I hated the wandale pick when we made it idk why anyone would take a 5’7 receiver that early
I had such a problem with the wandale pick it made no sense we had a lot small wrs already
Quarterback and Offensive line are the main focus of the 2025 NFL Draft for the New York Giants. Without winning the trenches you aren’t winning anything. First round = quarterback. Their second pick should be an offensive lineman. 3rd pick should a be a DB or DL.
11:05: EXACTLY! The coach of the Bears should NEVER have been brought back this year. And now look what has happened.
“Zay Flowers’s numbers will probably always be limited.” Guess you didn’t realize that he currently is the fifth leading receiver in the league.
As a Steelers fan, I want to thank the Giants for not drafting George Pickens. We really appreciate it!!!
Life long Giants fan. Brings back my memories of Graig Morton. 💔
I'm planning on "rock bottom" for the Giants having a basement. 😑
Don’t forget Xavier McKinney is in a race to lead the league in INTs
you cant really blame the Giants for drafting Thibodeaux or Neal. I wouldnt have expected both so much underperforming. The big mistake was the huge overpaid contract for Jones, a neck breaker for Giant's salary cap
$40/yr for a starting NFL QB is below market now.
MUSTAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRD oh hey football analysis uploaded :D
Ugh if they didn’t have two magical playoff runs they have been the worst teams In 25 years
The problem is 100% coaching.
It should be mentioned that Daniel Jones was a pick from the previous GM and coach.
Hyatt nd wandale would be good if they had a qb to throw it to them
QB is useless if his line doesn't know how to block.
I liked it.
Thank you Joseph!
I mean the Jones contract was literally always structured as a 2+2, I'm sick of hearing this 160/4 narrative. Go actually look at the contract.
Honestly the giants should try and get jameis as a bridge qb next year.
Saquon at 2 then jones at 6 was horrific
As a giants fan, I cannot believe how hard we fell so fast from 2022. Time to clean house again :(
2022 was an outlier.
They got to find a way to put more points on the board, and stop the other teams from scoring so much
So basically playing the sport of football 😂
Exactly. Are they just stupid?
