- In the beginning, there were hundreds of thousands. From there, the top 30 men and 30 women rose to the challenge and competed in a virtual competition to earn their place in the finale. This weekend, only 10 remained. The final five in each division fought to prove themselves the Fittest on Earth. There was sweat, there were tears, and more than a little blood. At the end of it all, the victors became legends. They are the Fittest in History.

Can't talk enough about how Mat
A) Won the first half fo the trail run AND the second half too .
B) Slowed down and waited for Tia in Atlanta before he started running and STILL won the event.
Nobody will ever be as good as mat fraser is.
My friend, it's silly to say no one will be as good as Matt Fraser is; CrossFit is a relatively niche and new sport. The vast majority of people have never heard of CrossFit, and only with time and the growth of the sport will athletes from everywhere be brought into the sport. CrossFit is still relatively small compared to Olympic lifting, Powerlifting and even Strongman competitions.

@@kenbobcorn Actually crossfit is considerably bigger than all three of those and has directly contributed to increases in their popularity. Especially Olympic lifting.
@@kenbobcorn ... Crossfit is dying. The last two years there have been massive declines in participation in the Games. In the NYC/suburb area, CrossFit affiliates are all closing down, or simply not being affiliated with CrossFit and doing their own programming. People realize it's not worth the $150-250/mo that these places were charging. The programming is a joke, technique/form are optional and PED use is glaringly apparent except for the blind diehards of the sport. I wouldn't be surprised if Rogue eventually splintered off and simply just ran the Iron Games on their own without any affiliation to CrossFit.
@@CU08 damn, speaking facts. I do believe though that there are athletes that can surpass Fraser but they’re out playing sports that pay a whole lot more money. Still though, Matt is a freaking animal!

Making them run the course in reverse after they thought they were done was both the most diabolical move ant the best test of fitness of the games

You know Mat Fraser’s crazy good when his no rep is the first thing mentioned in his highlight reel.
I am old enough to remember CrossFit announcing and even making a movie about Rich Froning Jr. as the fittest man in history and that there is never going to be anyone who could beat Froning.
No one beat froning as an individual after 2010...
There’s a reason you’ll never see a Fraser vs. Froning. We all know who would win.
I don't think Froning as ever been as dominant as Fraser in winning so many events easily. But in any case they are both amazing champions

I was very disappointed in the presentation of part 1 of the games and I was very vocal in expressing that. So let me be very vocal in expressing how well done part 2 was presented! Terrific job by the staff of Crossfit and the athletes this weekend. Cheers!
That's true. I was also very vocal about how lackluster the presentation of stage 1 was. But you gotta give props when it's due 🌹 It really felt like the CROSSFIT GAMES this time around.b

The Crossfit Games 2020: The Battle for 2nd place'
Absolutely INSANE highlight video!!! The games this year couldnt have being any better - Truly OUT OF THIS WORLD INCREDIBLE!!! That sprint between Mat and Sam was the best race to watch in the games this year - and how the camera caught that race is SENSATIONAL!!! Mat and Tia wore the leaders outfit from start to finish, actually expect in the swim event - theres one thing CF can do - get them a Leaders swim outfit :) We are all truly blessed to be alive to witness not 1 but 2 GOATS at the same time - I love Rich F and hes the reason i got into Crossfit and I never ever thought someone would ever break his record or even match it - Now we have Tia whose matched it and Mat whose dethroned Rich - WOW!!!! Anything is possible in life and I do believe one day, Haley will dethrone Tia and maybe even Matt :) The best is yet to come, and im so grateful to be in love with such a Phenomenal sport that keeps getting better - every year i say, i dont know how they will do a better games than this one - but they always do!!! Big shout out to Dave C, who truly brings the best out of these warriors!!! The hardest test i think was doing that trail run twice - that looked HORRIFIC but SO AWESOME to watch!!! Bring on 2021, there is clearly NOTHING that can stop Crossfit from getting better and better every year!!!! To close, Im just in awe of how BEAST Mat and Tiw are that even when they take their time in the last event and not do their best, Tia comes 3rd and Mat still wins, WOW!!! Perfect way to end their clearly DOMINANT season!!! To Mat and Tia = I take a bow you both - Undoubtedly = The Greatest Of All Time......

This is by far the best CF has done with well rounded testing to crown fittest on earth. Put another way, this is the most deserving year to be crowned that title based on this testing

Killer highlight video
I’ll start by saying I’m grateful to have had a Crossfit Games (CFG) at all and I think these athletes did a phenomenal job. Nevertheless, I do want to encourage them to bring back the previous format to include the 40 person athlete pool until the end of competition. This year is an exception with Covid, and maybe next year as well (God willing that won’t be the case) but as soon as it is safe to do so I am putting my vote in to return to the CFG previous and more superior format.
Tia just perfected many of her areas especially from last year...so good to watch all of them.. the young era and older era going at it

I liked the format this year. 10 final participants would be more of a spectacle though. Still good overall. Atalanta was insane, just pure grind.
never go back to the 3 heats format. I'd say a max of 10 athletes for the games next year. this was so much easier to follow and didn't take all day to watch.

I just wanna congratulate the whole team behind the 2020 CF games. In my opinion these were by far the best games ever, and you deserve a huge applause for that, especially considering all the issues caused by covid-19 and the controversies around Glassman. Congrats and I'll be looking forward for 2021! :)

There was a fuck ton of running this year holy shit.
That trail run event "twist" was just stupid and unfair. Mat is just so much better than everyone else that he was still able to win. He should have gotten 100 points for reaching the "halfway" point and 100 more for finishing first.
