Same age here, gonna buy me a used MSX (what the Grom is called in Asia). The new MSX costs a little over $2,000 here. Mine in mint and has 850 miles on it. I'm paying about $800 for it.

I love my little 2020 Grom, on the street or on the ranch. We can’t get it over 56 mph top speed. Everyone like to learn on the Grom. It works hard to put a smile on your face. Just a fun little bike.

It's not liquid cooled, it's air cooled

The Big Ruckus has a 250 motor. Good luck trying to find one. Lucky for me I got mine in 2010 for 2100 dollars.

Amazing lil machine! Your helmet-cam was making your hi speed runs look scarier than it really is. My 6'4" son just got a 2019 Grom and it's a blast to ride! No, I wouldn't take it on the 75mph interstates around here but hey, 60mph on Rt66 is acceptable...

Does anything think it would be possible to engine swap the grom with 149cc lawn mower?
The reason I want one of these so bad is because I'm a small guy myself. It's literally the absolute perfect size for me. I can stand up over it and barely graze the seat, and when I'm sitting down on it my arms are perfectly bent unlike when I ride a Harley with straight arms
I really wish they make the next one 250cc with a extra gear or faster it would be the best thing fr 🙏🏽 but it still really nice as how it is.

Only issue I have is when the stealership won’t let you out the door with one for less than 4500. It’s a total blast of a bike, but it’s also not a 4500 bike, either
My check engine comes on when I turn the bike on then shuts off, everybody says it’s normal but I didn’t see that happen with this one

So I’m looking for my first bike and I don’t want to start on anything crazy. Looking for light weight and a short seat since I’m 5’8 about 140lbs but I definitely want to go above 50mph lol. This would be perfect for me to take to work since it’s about 15 miles away and all ocean view back roads but at that price I’d rather spend a little more and get something faster. 2022 are going for 5K some dealers still have 2020 for 4.1K 7/29/21, for .9k you get 5 speed/ 10 to 1 compression abit more power/ LED headlight and a few more things/ tuff to choose.

I’ve ran away after smashing a pricks mirror on a grom. It actually is quite good to run away only if there’s a bunch of traffic and you blast multiple stop signs

I’ve seen a 6’6 guy have fun with one. A 6’2 guy can use comfy with minimal knee blockage.
If you had ride ,Honda chally ,Dax or Yamaha TDR 50 you will enjoy and understand these motorcycle !

I’m looking to get my first bike - I’ve owned dirt bikes but looking for a street legal bike now
I weigh 145 lbs and am 5’7”
I usually am in cities and live in the city which makes sense to own one of these but also I love going on the freeway and going around places I’ve never been and exploring, should I get one or no? Kinda like the Honda 300 CBR jawn
Hayden Tornoe I purchased my 2020 about a month ago and don’t regret it a bit! However if you plan to go on the freeways you will have a rough time keeping up odviouosly, I would recommend street use mainly, freeway not so much
If you’re used to dirt bikes, want something more maneuverable for city riding, and want something that can literally go just about anywhere, I’d strongly consider a dual sport.
A KLX230 would likely be good for your height and it has 6 gears for expressway riding. XT250 or CRF250L are good too, KLX250 would be iffy and the WR250R or DRZ-400 would likely be too tall. A grom will suffer on expressways.
What’s nice is if you just end up riding street, you can put more street oriented tires on once the stock ones wear out and basically have a street bike with a ton of suspension travel for hooligan stuff.

wow, a grom without the stupid loud kid muffler. i just see the sidecar for it and now interested in that package. i have a ruckus, (love) and a yamaha zuma (daily driver/ love) and a ct 125 on waiting list..
