This is going to sound cheesy... But seeing them now, after all these years, looking older, less glamorous, more rugged, just makes it more beautiful. They're people that live lives outside of each album release, each tour, they live their own lives between it all. You see the humans behind the music career.
"Sugar for the Pill" was actually my introduction to Slowdive, and so now I'm discovering "Souvlaki Space Station", "Machine Gun", and other great songs.
Just bought a ticket to see them play in Denver in November. Problem is ...I live in Utah. I'll deal with the logistics later. So stoked to see Slowdive. My teenage self wouldn't believe that I would ever see them play. Dreams come true. Cool cool yeah yeah.
I was there back in the day - this is better than they every did back then. Weird tearing sensation. I fucking love this. I've watched it about 4000 times.
Great band indeed Also, Mojave Three were brilliant too as were Rachel and Neil's solo stuff Massive talent and great to see Slowdive back again sounding wonderful
Slowdive was always that "other band" who I thought cool and bought their albums, only to play Lush, Cocteau Twins and MBV more. Today, so very glad their music is being validated by so many artists that play their style. Souvlaki Space Station would be an indie hit today
Liked this project, very evocative setting with slowdive playing another just as evocative song appropriate for catching a moment in a place among the ephemeral pace of past & future, shuffleboard divisions lolz

I totally agree and it's beautiful
Not cheesy. For some great music comes from lived experience.
Neil does not look 47. Rachael, however, is showing her age, as most of us are.
wakawakacrow they’ve just got better. Halstead is one of my favorite all time song writers.
Well said, mate
Nick and Simon still look like they in their 20's.
What a gift that Slowdive are back.
With a touch of magic.
The fact that slowdive is still relevant , really uplifts my spirits and hopes that music has a chance to be great again
They’ll always be relevant to me, especially in the autumn where that first blast of cool air comes back to greet us.
Slowdive is still one of my favorite bands.
This album is exceptional .. so warm and inspired
This is my favourite version of this song. The relatively stripped down arrangement really lets the bass and vocals shine through.
"Sugar for the Pill" was actually my introduction to Slowdive,
and so now I'm discovering "Souvlaki Space Station", "Machine Gun", and other great songs.
Me too, mate. Love this song and need to see what else I've missed all these years. Love from Australia.
Nick is so awesome. The Bass line in this is just sick....

How was the show??
That’s so cool! But the ticket because you must see them, deal with the logistics later
the more minimal sound of this performance paired with shots of the lonely venue makes for a nice video
Saw them a few weeks ago and it was hands down the greatest show I've ever been to
The baby I’m minding loves this song and dances every time she hears it
what an awesome song...gives me shivers. great recording!
Frederik Schäfers, to me too :)
Honestly had to go Google to make sure it was the same band I loved in my youth. So great they're back.
Can't stop listening, Beautiful!
Un minuto de silencio por toda la gente que aún no conoce a esta maldita canción y banda
I was there back in the day - this is better than they every did back then.
Weird tearing sensation. I fucking love this. I've watched it about 4000 times.
It is like wine. Keep getting older, please. Thanks.
One of my favorite basslines
I am quite obsessed with this song.
This is without a doubt my favorite slowdive song....this band got better with age...God bless them and thank you!
Slowdive never really did it for me back in the day... but damn, I am IN LOVE with the new album.
Great band indeed
Also, Mojave Three were brilliant too as were Rachel and Neil's solo stuff
Massive talent and great to see Slowdive back again sounding wonderful
I can listen to this all day long.

I love this band, and this song. Love the stripped down vibe on this too!

I'm not crying. You are.
This video makes our world a bit better place.
I just discovered these guys. Makes sense i loved it right away, I was a Cocteau Twins fan.
Just incredible. Beautiful.
Amor infinito por Slowdive
Slowdive was always that "other band" who I thought cool and bought their albums, only to play Lush, Cocteau Twins and MBV more. Today, so very glad their music is being validated by so many artists that play their style. Souvlaki Space Station would be an indie hit today

(Y un poco de melancolía)
Instacliked when saw the name. Slowdive was, and still being, simply amazing.
gets better with every listen !!!!!!
I just love NPR
One of the few bands that actually probably sound better older than their younger selves.
They are so cute!! So talented too, they sound awesome!
anyone [musicians?] recognize the bass that Nick uses on this? His tone is absolutely impeccable in this production.
I'm pretty sure he's playing a Music Man Stingray
I'm playing a Musicman Stingray and the strings haven't been changed for two years... :)
holy shit, youre actually the real nick chaplin! Thank you so much for replying!
Nick, it sounds like the tone on The Cure's "Faith." And that's GOOD!
Also, thank God you have 2 legs.
What a beautiful sound 💔
Absolutely beautiful.
Every morning I'm waking up to this song :)
I LOVE THIS BAND SO MUCH! 💕

Liked this project, very evocative setting with slowdive playing another just as evocative song appropriate for catching a moment in a place among the ephemeral pace of past & future, shuffleboard divisions lolz

man I love this band
such a great, stripped-down version of this tune!
Beautiful sound
MusicMan basses always have that beautiful thud to them.
Amazing, Nice, Great
would 100% play this on a slow drive. if I could drive
slowdrive
Paragraphs i mean if I were to make a slow motion dive off a board I would play this. if I were diver
BridgetEke I think Paragraph is just being funny. Slowdive for a Slowdrive! 😜
Play it on a slowdive? What? Oh wait...
Lyrics:
There's a buzzard of gulls
They're drumming in the wind
Only lovers alive
Running in the dark
And I rolled away
Said we never wanted much
Just a rollercoast'
Our love has never known the way
Sugar for the pill
You know it's just the way things are
Cannot buy the sun
This jealousy will break the whole
Cut across the sky
And move a little closer now
Lying in a bed of greed
You know I had the strangest dream
And I rolled away
Said we never wanted much
Just a rollercoast'
Our love has never known the way
Sugar for the pill
You know it's just the way things are
Cannot buy the sun
This jealousy will break the whole
And I rolled away
Said we never wanted much
Just a rollercoast'
Our love has never known the way
Sugar for the pill
You know it's just the way things are
Cannot buy the sun
This jealousy will break the whole
