The fella that acted as Eoin mc love in on of the episodes was a neighbor of mine from a small village called dromiskin, and one of the men that wrote it was from Drogheda
The Mainland is my favourite too and you've still got Flight into Terror to see yet which is also great....yes it's a bit sad we're almost near the end with the FT reactions but it's been great watching the show all over again with you. :-)
the last ever episode, and the season 3 finale 'Going to America' is one of the best episodes, so it is good that you save probably the best till last. And love the montage of clips at the end of the episode, that finishes off, possibly the greatest comedy series of all time, perfectly, I really hope you enjoy it
I knew a woman once but she died soon afterwards. My favourite colour was grey. No blue, a soft blue with a hint of grey. No orange. Orange, that's it. I I have a extension put on the house now and I put it on the extension so the house is in a circle now, you see?
it's weird how memory cheats. Saw this episode when it first was shown and all I really remembered was the disco only playing Ghost Town by the Specials. I thought it was a much bigger part of the episode than it actually was.
You are right taffe, the churches can get away with so much. Your comment reminded me of the only fools and horses episode 'the miracle of peckham' where del runs a scam through his local church.
“Need MORE drink!” ... “CAR!” One of my favourites. Loved Think Fast, Father Ted. If you’re gonna do each of the Series Finales soon, mate...you’re in for a TREAT. They’re all brilliant, especially Flight Into Terror.
I always consider the two FT's to be the best sitcoms. Fawlty Towers and Father Ted. Please react to Fawlty Towers. Only 12 episodes. Great reaction. Sad you'll be coming to the end soon.
I always think of Pinky and the Brain with the "Where are we gonna get the guns?" bit. Same thing we do every night, Pinky... Rest the money in my account! How many of us have had a long all night drive like that? For us it's usually on the way to Dublin for a weekend. At the school Christmas raffles every year someone would joke that we'd rigged it because I always won something. Yeah, my mum was on the PTA... And she handled the accounts... So what? 😏
they left it vague here, but I remember old school raffles being different colour books - so winner could be blue 11. but you could still sell red 11, yellow 11, orange 11, light blue 11, etc.
Usually you’d get a strip of 5 tickets. You might be able to choose the colour but not the numbers. I think in the episode, it was done this way for simplicity
In case you wanted to listen over and over to that one record the DJ had, it was 'Ghost Town', by 'The Specials'. ruclips.net/video/RZ2oXzrnti4/видео.html
Churches don't get taxed in the UK but they barely make money in the first place. My church held so many low-budget fairs and gatherings because the building was always in disrepair and needed work done.
@@jackcarter5101 and the big long drive all though the night, back from father Finnegan’s house, when they are all on a tiny island. Even if they took a ferry to the mainland, there’s no way the drive could have been that long 😂
This was the last episode filmed before the actor who played father Ted died. I'm not sure about taxes and churches, but i had a friend who served as a minister and they receive a stipend to pay for living expenses but they aren't paid a wage
IM A HAPPY CAMPER
You like humour and except as a means to make people feel better watch Alf garnet
Is that you patrick?
"I knew a woman once! But...she died soon afterwards."
"Father there's a woman at the door...with a skirt"
**disgusted face**
The fella that acted as Eoin mc love in on of the episodes was a neighbor of mine from a small village called dromiskin, and one of the men that wrote it was from Drogheda

A great line
One of my faves!
The Mainland is my favourite too and you've still got Flight into Terror to see yet which is also great....yes it's a bit sad we're almost near the end with the FT reactions but it's been great watching the show all over again with you. :-)
When all finished. You should do a video counting down your favourite Father Ted Episodes 25 down to number 1.
And as regards the raffle the island hasn't been given anything since those 2 bags of coal in 1964😂
That end rant has me in tears every time
“Noah called 40 days and nights of rain a disaster... the Irish call it summer!”
Ben Keaton who played the boring priest pretty much wrote the part for himself, and the end credits monologue was 90 percent adlibbed.
Rynagh O Grady the actress who played Mary ( John & Mary)recently passed away R.I.P ❤️
Noooo.
Are there any more chipsticks?

When you first see the car mangled, one of the funniest visual gags ever.
Still cracks me up after seeing it 100 times and the considered thought " don't think we can give that as a prize " adds to it 😄
Speaking of alcohol poisoning it does exist in this universe, infact your next episode of Father Ted should be "Grant Unto him Eternal Rest".
one of my favourite episodes that too. 'No it's a completely different film, different shark!'

Yeah, I think you still have to do Flight Into Terror - another of my absolute favourite episodes, especially the part with the "do not press" button.

Yay, another Father Ted treat time.
18:40 NEED MORE DRINK he says, when there are still at least four unopened crates behind him
Their zero alcohol, why do ya think he left them there haha
Would it be mmmmmmm or would it be mmmmmmmm? The first one is the sound of a fridge and the second one is the sound of a man humming.
I just have to say the three episodes you have left are some of the best! It's going to be wild.
Dermot's middle name was John, so that morning dj was sort of him😁
The morning radio DJ was the voice of Graham Linehan
I'm pretty sure he was in the mad priest band also.
@@dannyspelman1468 Yeh. I think Linehan did mention that in the DVD commentary of the episode
And the late night DJ, Lazlo, was voiced by Arthur Mathews! 👍🏻

Gonna be real sad when you finish these taffe :(
Same first time i saw it was cracking up.
Im so upset these will be coming to an end soon, seeing your reaction reminds me so much of watching it for the first time myself.

Am I the only one who found the Father talking about the boilers interesting?
Yes
That would be an ecumenical matter
😂
Not as interesting as humming noises.
At present, saving that much on gas and electricity would be great!
This is one of the most quoted episodes of the show.

I know in the UK churches are exempt from taxes because they are not classed as businesses.
In Ireland us and most countries they're also exempt from government interference which Is why so much stuff happened
Even though sad this is ending, happy you're on the 'Outnumbered' journey!

As I mentioned on the last video there is also the Christmas special "A Christmassy Ted" which is really good.
I did it in December 2019. It was the 4th episode I did.

My all time favourite episode.
Are you going to do the Small, Far Away documentary after the final episode?
When my friend talks about crypto mining i always say "We hooked the gas to the electricity, and the electricity up to the gas".

No, the Catholic Church doesn’t pay tax here in Ireland. They are one of the richest organisations in the world.
