Victoria slayed that performance! I miss Victoria so much in the 2019 reunion. her deep voice is such an integral part of the spice girls sound. When Geri left the band Victoria was able to sing Geri's vocals without a sweat. The other way not so much. You can see the difference between the two Wembley concerts from 1998 and 2019. Don't get me wrong when they're all together they're the best, but Victoria was and is such an important part of the Spice Girls.
Emma has the beautiful voice, Victoria has the dark base tones, Geri has the grasp, Mel C has the rock, Mel B has the fun flavor. They all got the attitude and style that puts it altogether greatly. 👍

I respect the fact that the other girls want to do the new tour, but I also respect Victoria in wanting to end it on a high. This performance was flawless, and at the olympics? That pretty much wraps up an amazing career for the group. Now their legacy will be remembered with the final section being a reunion tour that is missing a member and doesn’t live up to their 2007 reunion tour :/
Peter Szecsi it might have been more successful, but it looked way messier. They were missing a member, the choreography and overall presentation was bad. The sound from what I was told was horrendous during many of the shows, and it was raining during most of the dates as well lol. That on top of Geri losing her spark and trying to be all regal instead of the ginger we once knew makes it a missed opportunity imo. No amount of attendees and money earned can change the fact that it wasn’t a complete set.

I respect the fact that the other girls want to do the new tour, but I also respect Victoria in wanting to end it on a high. This performance was flawless, and at the olympics? That pretty much wraps up an amazing career for the group. Now their legacy will be remembered with the final section being a reunion tour that is missing a member and doesn’t live up to their 2007 reunion tour :/

Peter Szecsi it might have been more successful, but it looked way messier. They were missing a member, the choreography and overall presentation was bad. The sound from what I was told was horrendous during many of the shows, and it was raining during most of the dates as well lol. That on top of Geri losing her spark and trying to be all regal instead of the ginger we once knew makes it a missed opportunity imo. No amount of attendees and money earned can change the fact that it wasn’t a complete set.

i am always thinking when seeing olympic openings like this about how the north korean team may feel watching it live, because i could imagine them literally being in awe of how "high tech" the rest of the world must look compared to what they are taught back in the DPRK. for example london in this video or pyeongchang in 2018 with a literal drone show and the led light shows!

When I first watched this on live TV, I didnt know who was performing but as soon as I heard the music, I screamed in excitement. They were my childhood growing up. I LOVED the "Spice Girls". Still do actually
