@@canonjean-mignon4985 Not sure what's your background, and how you see the contents of this channel, but I find your reaction 99% incomprehensible.
Maybe I'll express myself in more detail.
      Elaborating:
      - Islam is full of factual flaws
      - Islam lacks historical backgrounds (that it claims to have)
      - Islam has demonstrably plagiated heaps of apocryphical or heretical jewish & christian texts, without understanding what these faiths are about
      - Islam claims to be monotheistic, but the reverence to Muhammad and all the actions in the hadj demonstrate the opposite
      - Islam's most eaamplary person was a killing, child abusing, sex-addicted, illiteral, slave trading caravan robber.
      - Islam's traditions of clothing, feasting (Ramadan), Jihad, degredation of women, slavery, racism and denial of education is a disaster to humanity
Now: *Jay, Murad and many others do a great job exposing all these problems with Islam, accellerating the avelange of apostacy.
Once people are out of Islam, they may or may no open their heart to Jesus*
Exposing Islam thus enables adhering to christianity, which:
      - Doesn't have (that many) factual flaws
      - Is strongly rooted in actual history
      - Is original in it's views
      - Uses jewish long established scripture as-is, without distortion, only giving consistently a clear fulfilling meaning to many of the things Jews were expecting to happen.
      - Is monotheistic in that GOD is one entity. The 3 persons within the entity doesn't change that. No other messengers, rocks, buildings, wells or whatever are revered (except by roman catholics, which is to be considered a heracy)
      - Has an examplary person that was meak, compassionate, healing, helping, teaching, literate, ready to bring sacrifices.
      - Calls for freedom of expression, healthy habits, an end to slavery and racism, equal rights (not roles though), and calling to investigate, leading to eventually health care, social care, universities etc etc.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Murad is either lying or ignorant in Arabic, though he is native Arabic speaker.
.The Arabic word نسخ in ancient time meant erases or lift or eliminate. You can go to any Arabic dictionary and you will see the meaning. Now people uses it a bit little differently , but there are a lot of words in ancient times used in certain way and in modern time they are used differently. Take from example the word gay just 50 years ago it meant happy, now if you ask the younger generations about gay, the only thing that get in their minds is homosexuals and will have hard time to try to think it means also happy or joy. It is the same thing for Murad, the word نسخ meant something in the past and now it meant another totally different thing and that why Murad is having hard time to understand that it means also abrogation.

@Gavin James, when we are told that the Quran is the direct word of Allah given to Mohammad.......... it begs the question, why? Who cannot speak? Allah or Mohammad? Abu Bakr? Zayd ibn Thabit? Umar ibn al Khattab? Uthman bin Affan? Ali ibn abi Talib? Abu Musa al Ash'ari? Ubay Ibn Ka'b? Abdullah ibn Masood? Zayd Ibn Thabit? Abu Hurairah? Abdullah Ibn Abbas? Abu al-Darda? I understand that Arabic is very different to the Language's that the Quran is translated into..... but words are missing out! Not even 7th century Arabian people left words out of a sentence, "The cat sat on the [Mat]" and the Arabic of the 7th century is very different from the Arabic of the 8th, 9th, and 21st century! It's become a jumbled mess with some of it unable to be translated because no one knows what it actually means! Just very weird! Then we are told that some chapters are missing! Whole chapters! With Islam's love for abrigation, perhaps the missing chapters abrigate the chapters that we know of?

@@joseywales3789 It isn't so much that words are left out of the Quran (translations) as such, but words (typically names, epithets, and son on) are added. Of course there are different styles of translation, but I prefer transliterations. However, as you rightly state, the meanings of words (and hence the context of the text itself) have often been lost. Thankfully, the lost meanings may yet be rediscovered and a truer interpretation and translation may become possible one day.

I like what Murad is trying to do and I am sympathetic to his thesis. That said, as a bit of constructive criticism, I would like to throw in a word of caution about his stated translation philosophy. One cannot in general take a word in one language and always translate it by a single word in another language because words have a semantic range and so can mean different things in different contexts, and it is rare that a word's semantic range in one language will be identical to the semantic range in a single word in another language. So in English the word "strike" can mean to hit, but in other contexts can mean delete (strike that line), or to go out on a work stoppage in a labor dispute, or with the word "out" can mean to miss hitting a ball for the third time in a baseball game, or to initiate something (strike up a tune), or ignite something (strike a match), or to make or ratify something (strike a deal) and so forth. As a noun strike can mean a blow, a work stoppage, knocking down ten pins in a bowling game, not hitting a ball in baseball, etc. I doubt there is a single word in Arabic that can mean all of these things, so different Arabic words would have to be used translate different contextual meanings of "strike." What I think Murad is actually trying to say is that translators are rendering two words in the abrogation verse with meanings that are not otherwise attested in the Quran (or any other ancient Arabic) where a well-attested, common meaning of the two words in the Quran makes perfectly good sense and, if the well-attested meanings are adopted, that explodes the abrogation interpretation. In such cases the burden of proof is on the translator adopting an unattested, conjectural meaning for a word where there is a well-attested alternative.

@@I9s7lam5is-S3tu1pid True of all languages. This is why taking a meaning from modern English is dangerous when reading archaic English. The same applies to using modern Arabic to read the Quran. Murad's method of developing a dictionary based on attested meanings in the Quran rather than later commentary makes good sense. On the other hand as a native speaker of Arabic he needs to be careful not to read his own modern Arabic meanings into Quran words. If he can limit himself to meanings that can be derived from the Quran itself or ancient Arabic that would be great .

Murad relies on muslims for meanings of Arabic words.
He could never have known the meaning of Nasakh without early muslims who wrote books about the Arabic language and classical Arabic dictionaries.

@@alonzoharris6730 Attested in this context means you can prove that a word's meaning "existed" by a clear example in a usage in a particular text or time period. In English the word "jump" is attested in various texts from various times, but the meaning "jump" in the sense of "jumping a car" often in the winter when a battery has become too weak to turn over a starter is not attested in texts written before the time that batteries began to be used to start cars or engines. To read the old nursery rhyme "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack JUMP over the candle stick" which existed in the early 1800s as implying by "jump" some sort of electric charge as in the "jumping" of cars in the winter is to read a meaning of a word from a later time period into a text from an earlier time where that meaning is simply impossible. That is why for any ancient text it can be useful to attempt a synchronic dictionary of attested meanings of a word from that particular text along with texts from the same time period, so far as that is possible. Where usages remain unclear it is still possible to look at later (or earlier) time periods to see if an attested meaning later (or earlier) might explain a particular usage, but since words change meanings over time is preferable to derive a meaning from the same time period. This is commonly done in New Testament studies where one prefers to derive the meanings of Greek words from usages in the NT or at least the Hellenistic period around NT times rather than resorting to meanings only well-attested much earlier in classical Greek or much later in Modern Greek. It would be a useful scholarly exercise to apply that method to the Quran.

Let me add my Hebrew knowledge to this.
In hebrew, Nusakh means - version/form/copy/variant
    The word 'le'nase'akh' means - to phrase/rephrase.
In Rabbinic literature, there is the issue of scribal errors or different traditions of Talmudic manuscripts.
So you can often see a Rabbi writing a commentary on Talmud and sometimes he would say "this version (nusakh) makes more sense in comparison to that version (nusakh).
It is clear that the Muslims used this word in a completely different sense. Instead of the meaning referring to an innocent difference due to scribal error, or different manuscript traditions, the Muslims have changed it to mean intentional cancelation / abolishing of clear text.
    P.S
The Hebrew Tanakh has also a few variants. Mostly omitted/added vowels, but never is it used to say "oh, this used to be the case but now we no longer take this into account because of 'abrogation'.

The septuigant is greek and the tanakh from the temple in Jerusalem disappeared after Titus Vespasian took it to Rome. If You’re talking about “innocent differences”, You need to point out in which book. We know from messianic judaism that whole prophecies were being updated, since the Qumran jews managed to hide the “tanakh” from the Romans. Hebrew is not a language. It has never been spoken by people.
The language of the OT is Canaanite.
What later has been written down by rabbis is a language constructed based on the Tanakh. It's a human contruct. Nobody spoke the language of the Tanakh.
They used Aramaic and Arabic to know meaning of words.
That's why you find many Aramaic and Arabic words in 'Hebrew'. Because these words don't exist in the Tanakh. The Tanakh has a limit of words.

No, You dress up nicely, You probably have taken a shower, maybe put some kind of perfume on Your neck and approach others in a respectful manner. Some like to worship statues, others revere a text.
Have You ever heard christians saying that Jesus spoke to them or that they saw him? Or that Jesus lives inside of them? Muslims reading the Quran do this for the same reasons: they want to meditate themselves into higher spiritual grounds. They don’t read the Quran to understand it, just like christians don’t pray to Mary to understand something. It’s a ritual. It doesn’t make sense, because it’s not designed to make sense. It’s supposed to comfort believers.

They are hermeticists - practitioners of a secret teaching about conjuring spirits and animating statues. That’s a foolish statement. As Dr Smith stated during this presentation, the New Testament brings ‘Progressive Revelation’, whereby for example, Jesus raises the bar in relation to the sin of adultery, in order to show the Jews that like all other sins, adultery begins IN THE HEART and actually occurs, according to Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:28, when someone looks at a woman lustfully, as in pornography. This is not abrogation, but God actually exposing the sinfulness of the human heart and that just avoiding the ACT, is no evidence of sinlessness.
Besides, the Old Testament in essence reveals God’s dealings with His chosen people THE JEWS, whereas God’s intention was always to bring His light to the Gentiles also (see Isaiah 49:6 and Book of Acts 13:47), hence the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, which was God showing He was reversing the curse of the Tower of Babel, and making Yeshua’s salvation available to the whole world.

The sense of many words in the quran has been totally altered to fit the "standard islamic narrative" created later by the abbassid caliphs.
As an obvious example, the "mushrikuns" so often cited in the quran, often translated as "polytheists" or "associators" or "idolaters" refer in fact to christians who believe in trinity (meaning that they give "associates" to God, which is considered in islam to be the worse sin called "shirk") ... and not at all to so-called "pagans" or "idolaters" from Mecca.
Moreover historians have established that there was no more polytheism in Arabia in the 7th century as most Arabs, especially in cities, had been christianized. So there could be no "polytheists" in Mecca.
Therefore the famous "verse of the sword" (quran 9:5) " kill the "mushrikuns" wherever you find them..." means "kill the christians wherever you find them ..."

According to the Biblical book Songs of Solomon, the covenant was transferred from the דּוֹדִֽים dwdym (David's people or the Jews - Songs 5:1) to the מַחֲּמַדִּים mhmdyim (Muhammad's people - Songs 5:16). (Both words are Hebrew masculine, plural NOUNS which the Christian translators have rendered as the adjective, lovely in their translations to hide the transfer of the covenant.). The Hebrew plural, masculine nloun suffix 'ym' is used to denote the people of the nation to which the proper noun refers as in מּוֹאָבִים (Moabym or Moabites), Ammonites or Amonym עַמֹּנִים, Egyptians or Musrym מִּצְרִים, Chaldeans or Chasidym כַּשְׂדִּים, Lydians or Lydym לוּדִים etc. The words mhmdym and dwdym are unique and only used once each in the entire Bible. So, one expects the translation to also be unique. The words dwdym and mhmdym constitute a synonymous parallelism which references the covenant relationship between these 2 peoples. The dwdym or Jews were the last ancient Semitic people to hold this covenant before it was transferred to the mhmdym or the Muslims who were and are Muhammad's people. In addition, the Palestinians are the original Jews as they carry the haplotype J1c3d. The Ashkenazi who control Palestine are not Semites. So, Palestinians, the native inhabitants for more than 5000 years, are the rightful owners of Palestine according to history, genetics and the bible.
The control of the land of Israel was based on the contingency that those bound by the covenant would obey the law (Torah) and worship the One, True God. According to the Bible, the Jews failed to abide by the covenant conditions. The last straw was when they attempted to murder the Prophet, Jesus (as). Matthew 21:43 has Jesus declare: "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." So, it is clear that Jesus confirmed the prophecy in Songs 5 and the covenant was taken from the dwdym (David's people) and given to the mhmdym (Muhammad's people). The Mhmdym (Muslims) fulfilled the messianic expectations of the Jews when they created an empire that stretched from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean. The Mhmdym also rebuilt the former temple as Masjid Al Aqsa on the site which the Christian had deliberately defiled to dishonor the Jews and their god, Yhwh.
Songs is an allegory with many different levels of meaning. The poem is symbolic. The groom is symbolic of the king who ruled Judah, and who was a member of the dwdym or David's people. The bride represents the people of the covenant. The love between the spouses represents the covenant. Dwdym (David's people) represents the original people of the covenant or Jews. The Mhmdym represent the people of Muhammad to whom the covenant is transferred when the bride addresses her groom as Muhammadim or the people of Muhammad.. The bride, who is symbolic of the people of the covenant, switched her allegiance from the king who was both the ruler of and a member of the dwdym (David's people) to the Muhammadim (Muhammad's people) because the Muhammadim were the recipients of the new covenant. The covenant was transferred to the Mhmdym because the Jews rejected Jesus and his message. This new covenant was the means through which Allah (swt) made Muhammad the founder of a nation whose empire stretched from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. The achievements of the Muhammadim fulfilled the messianic expectations of the Hebrews. Songs is a prophecy that the Law or Torah was to be expressed through a covenant between the deity and the people who were committed to the purified Torah which became known as the Shariah, the law or Torah of the Muslim ummah. Allah's (swt) promises are always true, Subhanallah.

the Quran contains many contradictions, when Islam is not in a state of force (like in early Mecca) then Allah says kind and tolerant things (so-called Meccan surahs like 2:256 "no compulsion in religion")... but when Islam is in force (like in Medina), then Allah becomes evil and intolerant (Medinese surahs like 9:5 "kill the infidels/polytheists")...
To resolve these contradictions, Islamic doctrine consists of "abrogating" the nice Meccan surahs and replacing them with Medinan surahs... To truly "reform" Islam we would have to do the opposite, ie abrogate the "Medinese" and replace them with the nice "Meccans".
Then we will have to tackle the hadiths, tafsir and sira... a huge job... unless we abrogate everything

Hmm... there is a correlation even in the English language between the word 'sign' and 'inscribe'. To sign (a signature) is to inscribe one's name or initials, isn't it? To engrave words, alphabets, or characters is akin to inscribing intelligible signs on some hard surface.
It's been my observation of myself as a Christian and others too when we are caught up in words how we can't seem to glean meaning from certain passages in the Bible until we seek the mind of Christ and then the meaning comes through even when reading a poor translation.
In this case, I do derive meaning from the passage, Surah 22 verse 52 that the human (Mohammed?) is fallible but that the omniscient God is powerful and faithful to His word.

Why do we grow old and die?
GOD did not want humans to die. Our first parents, Adam and Eve, were created with a perfect mind and body. They could still be alive today. This is clear from what God said to Adam about a tree growing in the garden of Eden.
God said to Adam:“The day you eat [from the tree] you will surely die.” Genesis 2:17. This command would have been meaningless if Adam had been created to grow old and die. Adam knew that if he did not eat from that tree, he would not die.
GOD'S PURPOSE WAS NOT THAT PEOPLE DIE.
God said to Adam:"Eat your bread with the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground from where you were taken.for you were dust and you will become dust. ”
    Genesis 3: 17-19
As a result,“all the days of Adam's life were nine hundred and thirty years and he died.”Genesis 5: 5. Adam did not go to heaven or hell.Or live in a spiritual realm.
    What is the Resurrection?
    The Bible's answer
In the Bible, the Greek word translated "resurrection" means "to stand" or "to restore." The resurrected person is resurrected from the dead and is the same person who was before. 1 Corinthians 15:12, 13.
It is true that the word "resurrection" is not found in the Hebrew Scriptures, which are known as the Old Testament, but the promise of resurrection is there. For example, through the prophet Hosea,God promised:“I will rescue them from the hand of the grave, and I will rescue them from death.” Hosea 13:14; Job 14: 13-15; Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12: 2, 13.
Where will people be resurrected? Some people will be resurrected to live in heaven. There they will reign with Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5: 1; Revelation 5: 9, 10.The Bible calls this resurrection "the first resurrection" and the word "first" makes it clear that there will be another resurrection. Revelation 20: 6 That other resurrection will be for the living on paradise earth, and most of the dead will be resurrected in this way.
    Psalm 37:29.
How are the dead raised?God gave Jesus the power to resurrect the dead. John 11:25. Jesus will bring to life “all those in the memorial tombs,” each with his own personality, attributes, and memories.
    John 5:28, 29.
Some will be resurrected to live in heaven, while others will be resurrected to live on paradise earth with perfect and healthy bodies. Isaiah 33:24; 35: 5, 6. 1 Corinthians 15: 42-44, 50
They multiply priests and saints with sad faces pile up, perform miracles, cast out demons. But Jesus said,The tree is known by its fruit.
    MATTHEW
    7: 21-23:
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day,'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and did many miracles in your name?'23 Then i will tell them plainly that I did not know you at all.Get away from me, you workers of iniquity.
    Matthew 7: 15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 By their fruits ye shall know them.Do they gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?17 So every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;and an evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.20 Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Their end will be in proportion to their deeds.

The book of the New Testament doesn't deserve to be called the holy book of Christians, because there is no story about Christianity in it.

I am not a scholar nor a researcher ,but Arabic is my native language and I feel your explanation uncomfortable. Shaykh Morad, Ezzayak ya m3allem. Are you an arabic teacher or what? Arabic is richer than what you are trying to show wrongly here. Jay, if Murad is your reference then I think you got the wrong reference. Whatever he is trying to explain is wrong because he's using translation to interpret a translation. That's not how arabic or Quranic text are interpreted.
Murad, you don't know arabic. Murad, I'm pretty sure that you read the Bible in arabic and not in it's original language. Everyone knows that Jesus' language was Arameic, so why is the Bible not in Arameic? Does the Arameic language exists anymore? The New Testament was written in Koine Greek, so why are Christians reading multiple versions of translations in english? If Christians loved Jesus, whom they pretend is God, why wouldn't they preserve His language at least? Why wouldn't God preserve his language? Why would they use another language (koine greek) to write it? (What you read is narrations and stories reported by John, Luke, ....) Why would christians use a language (english), that never existed at the time of Jesus, to read the Bible?
Quran was revealed in arabic, scribed in arabic, read in arabic, by arabs and non-arabs, worldwide, since the 7th century? It has been read and written in arabic for more than 1400 years. Christians gave up Jesus' language 65 years after his death. How would you interpret that? Wake up!!! Those who you mentioned don't know arabic (dawah group), they know better than you do cause they actually use classic arabic, which is a lot harder for anyone to learn.

Thanks for your comment and how well spoken it was.
I have never heard of Saint Murad until just now, so I will only comment on your point regarding languages and God.
Many Muslims express concern regarding the Bible’s language and translation, however this is purely Muslim framing. We Christian’s have no issue whatsoever with reading the Bible in our own language - in fact we are often quite happy that we can read the Bible in our own language. Almost all of the New Testament was written in Greek. This is because Greek was the ‘lengua franca’ at the time. It was the language that was most universal in the Eastern Roman Empire. And because Christ came not just for the Jews but for the gentiles too, the Bible being more accessible is a necessity.
We Christians can worship God in any language - be it Greek or Latin or English or Latin. Some Christians may wish to learn Ancient Greek or Hebrew if they would like to read the ancient manuscripts, but there is no compulsion to do so in Christianity. We can pray to God in any language and now thanks to the remarkable sacrifice of the lamb of God, Jesus Christ, the tarnishing dividing line of sin is no longer! We can know God truly and genuinely! What a joy!
I hope you have found my comment helpful in answering your question. God be with you and take care.

    • @thesimpletruth4632
      @thesimpletruth4632 2 года назад

@@JothamBate Thank you for taking the time to reply. So what I humbly understand is that Christianity is accessible to everyone in any language and anyone can pray using any language. That's great, so is islam. But in Islam, muslims pray 5 times a day (in arabic). Does that make it less accessible? It makes muslims (including converts) to become closer to God. It makes muslims respect the language in which the Quran was revealed by God. It keeps the language and the book that was revealed preserved in it's language forever. It's the universal language of the Quran. Imagine if people used their own language to make those 5 prayers worldwide instead of using it's universal language, or read the Quran in their languages. People can always ask God anything in their own language, but it is better to ask in arabic out of respect. God understands all languages. But He chose arabic for the last message sent to human beings. It's to remind all the people of the book (jews and christians mainly) what they have forgotten and teach them through the comforter that God sent after Jesus, as it is mentioned in the Gospel according to John. God knew that they will forget and that they will need guidance. Speaking of the language of the Bible is not a purely Muslim framing. It's partly the truth that Christians hate to hear unfortunately.
