    I have a 1988(?) 24 hp Bobcat Jaguar 61'' front mower/rear steer, that I mounted an 8 hp blower that I turned into a suction unit, bolted to the side of it. Built my own tilting leaf box and everything is manual for dumping. It's nowhere near as nice as this unit or any of the newer ones, but it was way ahead of it's time back in 1994. It sure made picking up leaves a breeze, back in the day. Great video and thumbs up !!

      @@GoodWorksTractors Do you remember that setup JD had for the back of a compact with a giant hopper that would actually be able to raise up hydraulicly and dump in a trailer or low dump. Only seen one years ago but it looked like the ultimate setup but was probably really pricey.

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  3 года назад +1

      TKV20? Yes, it's more expensive because it's bigger and it's hydraulic. Any dump from the seat sure beats the bags. Those things get heavy when loaded with clippings or wet leaves.

  • @petersullivan1546

    • @quantumphaser

      @@GoodWorksTractors That's only a little more than the 3 bagger on my mower, 9 bushels and that thing fills way too quickly. But the fact you can dump from the seat and doubt you can get that thing to clog so you don't wind up with dirty green arms and hands from unclogging and dumping! 😜

    • @chamoua3968
      @chamoua3968 3 года назад +1

      That hopper does look small. I will be comparing this to a tkv20 so I would love to see the operational video. So far the JD MCS20 with their collection unit is out of the picture just because the blower isn’t separately driven. Guess for me it would be how this stacks up against the tkv20.

    • @quantumphaser
      @quantumphaser 3 года назад

      @@chamoua3968 They should have put a huge container on it, like the landscapers use.

    I own the 3 bag system with powerblower that John Deere sells, here are some questions I would like to see answered in the operation video you do on this product. How does this compare in capacity? With that being PTO driven and metal construction does it to chew up the leafs more? On the 3 bag system you really can't let the bag that is right under the chute fill up because if you do it backs up down the chute than your pulling it apart to clear it out and the blower because its not powerful enough to self clear. How is this system for clogging and unclogging?

      do this but it is a little frustrating not to even get a rough number for budgeting purposes.

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  3 года назад +1

      I put all of my pricing online. Yet, all I do is spend hours a day answering emails and phone calls asking for pricing about products on my website or asked repeatedly what tractors do I currently have available for sale? Or do I carry pallet forks, do I carry this, that, and the other thing. Every shopper is different in their expectations, so is every business. I like to think that putting as much information as possible on my website saves me lots of time. Who knows, maybe it does, but most times it sure doesn't feel like it. However, I recently responded to a commenter that they could get all the information they needed to know about the product right in the listing on my website (including the link), and they followed up with a comment warning others not to do business with me because I wouldn't regurgitate information from the listing on the spot for him. 🤣 There's never a way to please everyone.
      There's also many reasons for not putting pricing online and if someone is more than casually interested in a product, they'll make the effort to call anyways. Protero doesn't take orders online, only over the phone. You'd have to talk to them at some point if you wanted to place an order.

    • @michaelschettl9509
      @michaelschettl9509 Год назад

      Having to hunt for prices for people who are wondering if an item that caught their eye is even worth considering is a big turn off to many! Most of us can't understand why giving a range in price depending on the different variables at this point in time that the video was made is such a problem. So we can decide if it's even worth considering farther/ in the cards for us.
      Perhaps if you did , it would cut down on the phone time you spend answering repetitive questions.
