Amazing series! Thank you very much maitrê Adam Adrian Crown! I wish I would have the oportunity to train under your direction some day. I recognise in you a true master of martial arts. Nowadays it seems a like far for me to go to the US to train. (I was born and live in Brazil at the moment.) But who knows. One of the things I will for sure seek to do if I ever went (when) to US, is to train with you. For now I'm just very grateful for have found this channel. Thank you very much!

I remember what Mike Tyson said. " Everyone has a plan till they get punch in the face".

When a concept has applicability in multiple fields we may realise that it is actually a principle grounded in truth and reality.

Is there a wrinkle to this strategy table with respect to southpaws or open stance match ups? Would you consider Oleksandr Usyk the shorter weaker fighter in his bouts with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury? How would you describe his strategy in those bouts? Thanks

I always considered Gorillas to be shorter stronger fighters ... unless they were King Kong !

I think he was referring to guerrillas. Not gorillas.

No way you chose Sunny Liston over Muhammad Ali for offensive out fighting. When you were talking about offensive out fighting the only person I could think of was Ali. Ali had to be the goat in that regard.
7:40 you chose great with Rocky Marciano, but do you know who is exactly the same height? David Tua, even Mike Tyson is about the same height.
8:10 I think the Tyson Buster Douglas upset is that the recipe was there for an upset, which is for the better fighter to underestimate his opponent and to not take him seriously, those come from the mouth of the himself Mike Tyson said that when he was in that documentary where he presents the heavyweight fighters from the beginning of professional boxing like John Sullivan and all the fighters all the way up until Muhammad Ali at that time. Also, Mike Tyson was I heard sleeping with like 50 Japanese women the night before and Buster Douglas had lost to Tony Tucker and Mike Tyson defeated Tony Tucker to become the undisputed heavyweight king.
Two people that Cus D’Amato appreciate for their standing right in front of their opponents is Henry Armstrong, who would put his forehead on the opponents chest, and Maxie Rosenbloom. Rosebloom Cus said, you couldn’t hit the guy, but he was boring. A peekaboo fighter is trying to get his opponent to throw a punch so he can counter.

Thanks for your comment, fellow aficionado of the sweet science.
I have to disagree about Ali, indeed the GOAT, and the hero of my ill-spent youth. Liston had murder in every punch, one fist of iron and the other of steel, as Tennessee Ernie used to sing. He would take your best punch and snicker. Ali relied more on punches in bunches, and his feline agility to remain “so pretty.” Thus, in my opinion, Ali was the undisputed defensive out-fighting champ.
In re: Marciano, it’s not height but reach that matters. Tyson’s reach is a nickel short of 71 inches.
Tyson’s claim that he under-estimated Douglas may be true. (Sometime I’ll tell you what my dad said about excuses.)
But the inconsistent Douglas came in EXTREMELY highly motivated, and fought a nearly textbook perfect fight (the one lapse he made nearly cost him the contest). His much beloved mother and number one fan had just died. As he said at the end of the fight “That was for my mom…” Talk about having the moral law on your side.
Smaxie Maxie? Now THAT goes back to another era!
Thanks again for your comment, amigo. Chin down, hands up!

I’ve been thinking about your comments you made in your video all day today. It’s so true. I was commenting on Eddie Hall’s videos on Instagram, and he was sparring and he got knocked down with a crow cop left high kick I call it the cro cop after rhe southpaw Pride and k1 fighter Mirko Crocop, I tried to mention that he should fight offensive inside because he is the shorter stronger fighter…but about the longer stronger weapon it was nice seeing Alex Pereira knockout his opponent with the longer stronger weapon the switch kick, his lead leg the nearest weapon to the closest target, and it was all over, left hook with the foot and that’s all it took. You’re very smart. I won’t ever forget this video.

I’m glad this made sense to you!
I know just how you feel. I had my “Aha!” moment with it, too.
