Most of people like bharatnatyam..... Because it is related to Lord Shiva's tandav.... Means his angerness.... And destruction.... But on the the other hand Odissi is more related to Lord krishna.... Or jagannath..... His calmness.. And love to the human kind.... I am proud to be an odia....

Odissi dance form and music is the most ancient and graceful among all Indian classical dance and music but very underrated. It's not being promoted well by Indian mainstream media unlike Bharata Natyam , Kathaka, Carnatak music etc.

Then you don't have enough knowledge about all Indian classical dances ..... Let me tell me you I am Christian not Hindu but I guess I have better knowledge than you about Indian classical dances.... BharatNatyam is different because it shows aggression nature of Shiva which is inspired by tandava how can you insult that by saying that odisi is more good than BharatNatyam , and if you had good knowledge you should have noticed that sattriya is also gracefull , even kuchipudi is and not to forget Mohiniattam which literally means mesmerizing dance it's obvious that it is delicate beautiful and grace full ....conclusion is you're just obsessed with odisi because you're from odisha that obsession made you blindfolded and hence you're unable to see the fact

As I can see lot of viewers eagerly wanting to know about the music composer, I would like to mention that the original music from the beginning till the Pallavi(Tarana/Thillana) is composed by Sri Vijay Tambe ji who has also played flute in this composition..The Pallavi and its music is composed by Sri Jateen Kumar Sahu...and soulfully sung by Sri Manoj Desai ji. The rhythm composition and Mardal played by Sri G. Ramprasad(myself). The entire orchestration is done by Sri Vijay Tambe ji.

TMK Was Right... Oddissi Music and Dance Is Like A Bridge Between Hindustani and Carnatic.

Good joke odissi is not the bridge but it's original birata desa or matsya desa dance or music but hindustani is changed due to islamic invasion and karnataki is changed due to south Indian language and Karnataka peoples innovation for powerful music or singing

@@madhuritubahaar4thMarch1996we Odias have our own distinct music, in contrast to North Indian Hindustani and South Indian/Carnatic music. Our music is based on ragas from Gita Gobinda(Sanskrit) and other Odia works, it's called Odia music. Many ragas are original to Odissi music and not found in Carnatic/Hindustani music even. Even, our instruments are different like Mardaļa, Tungi etc.
