- Come with us to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom where we head to Pandora to ride Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey. We take in some some of Animal Kingdom's classic shows before heading to Disney Springs for a late lunch at Wine Bar George, and spend our final night at Port Orleans Riverside with Yeeha Bob in the River Roost Bar.
Subscribe for future videos every Saturday at 5 p.m.
We start the day early to get to Animal Kingdom in time to make the most of the early entry for resort guests. We still have to queue for 70 minutes for Flight of Passage but it is totally worth it! We take a relaxing ride on Na'vi River Journey before heading to the Feathered Friends in Flight show in Asia.
We just about make it in time for the impressive Festival of the Lion King show and enjoy a performance by the Viva Gaia Street Band at Discovery Island on our way to watch Finding Nemo! The Big Blue ... and Beyond, which is still a firm family favourite.
Back at the resort, our plans and the weather finally come together for us to be able to take the Sassagoula River Cruise ferry boat from Port Orleans Riverside to Disney Springs. After browsing in the Co-Op we enjoy a light lunch at Wine Bar George.
It's our last evening at Port Orleans Riverside so we head back to the River Roost bar for some drinks, light bites and fun with Yeeha Bob.
The next morning we prepare to check out, Keith checks out the laundry facilities at the nearby small pool area and we say a fond farewell to Port Orleans Riverside.

We have stayed on International Drive, Universal Resorts, and several Walt Disney World Resorts and became Disney Vacation Club members in 2022. Everytime seeing one of the ferry boats ".............. but is it Michael?"
Port Orleans Riverside is our fave. We’ve only stayed there, French Quarter & Contemporary. Every time we’re booking a holiday back we do the same thing, watching reviews of the other hotels and reading up. But time & time again we come back to Riverside. The quiet pool next to the mansion buildings is one of the main attractions for us along with just how beautiful a place it is. I feel like we watched our daughter, now 16, grow up playing in the quiet pool. Hours of fun with pool toys when she was little and then beating me, then dad at pool laps as she got better and better at swimming. The first morning when you wake up real early we would always go for a pyjama walk around the resort and end up at the quiet pool. Always ended up with her dipping her toes then swimming in her PJs until she was too old & self conscious at 14. Great memories. We’re heading back soon to make more. Flight of passage was a ride I didn't expect would live up to the hype my friend had been piling on me but it's the first time I've come off a ride and felt utterly speechless. I just couldn't process it and it was like I fell in love with disneyparks all over again.
It's incredible and quite an emotional one for me

Riverside was always my sons back yard. We wouldn't stay anywhere else except French Quarter!! Glad you both loved it!!

I'm enjoying this "chilled" Ears Disney adventure of Keith and Tracey, sans Luke and Daisy. Sometimes a slower, bit more relaxing walk through discovery and hilarity is more up my viewing sleeve. But perhaps it's because I had just finished rewatching the Cruising Ears family on the high seas vlogs and grinning and laughing out loud at my laptop screen by 6 am this morning. What a wonderful dilemma to ponder, thanks Cheers Ears!

We also had the best food at Wine Bar George - The Mac and cheese balls and a salad with some type of peach dressing. It was delicious.

Port Orleans Riverside is my absolute favourite moderate hotel. It’s just got a lovely atmosphere - did you see the horse drawn carriages?

You are too kind. The new Nemo show falls far short of the original. If you didn't know the story, the new version would make zero sense.

The bird show is a million times better without the characters in it. The birds and humans can ad lib easier :)
