  • Stopping a Posterior Tilt - Part 1: The Set Up
One of the most common asymmetrical postures we come across in #WheelchairSeating is a #PosteriorPelvicTilt - fancy talk for slouched posture.
There is a tall list of thing you can do or should consider for your clients but here are the first seven that directly relate to the wheelchair set up. Crazy, right? 7 things you can do without adding any additional equipment or supports - purely just on how we set the chair up.
Also, I am in the process of making a step-by-step stress free guide to wheelchairs and seating. I’ve put hours into it to make it exactly what therapist wants to know. To do this, I have been interviewing OTs/PTs/ATPs to learn more about their actual challenges, frustrations, dreams and goals so I can make the course exactly what the people want. If you’re down for a 1:1 interview with me to help, please let me know by throwing a "👍👍" below or sending me a DM.
Let me know below - did I miss any?
Stay tuned for next week where Part 2 talks about, The Seating.

Love your work, man! Please keep posting! Additionally, more material on how to navigate coverage against frequent denials of service from a given provider would be wonderful. Lastly, tips and tricks to passing one's ATP exam and maybe even the history of the ATP field.
    Thank you!

Thank you! Good ideas. Have you seen the videos justifying some of the power seat functions?

Nicely done - and take is a new term for me. In the states many people say "dump", I prefer seat slope. You've added to my vocabulary!

@@tamarakittelson Dump still gets used a lot here. I hear "Bucket" being used in the US sometimes but never here. "Slope" makes sense. I think "Rake" is just another word we can use to confuse people! haha

@@wheelieworx I understand where dump, slope and bucket come from. But rake? Trying to figure that one out.
