I went to percolate for feeders and contaminated two 75 gal tanks and whatever they had killed everything in my tank! I’m am so going to try this as soon as I have my baby next week! Thank you!!
So glad you posted this. Sadly, I have to do this today. Still can't figure out what annihilated my tank and figured this approach would be my best bet to prevent it from striking new inhabitants. Paraguard, furan 2, kanaplex, and maracyn 2 were unsuccessful, clean water and consistent temp were no match for whatever killed my poor fish. Fingers crossed I never have to do this again. 🤞

Hello! Thank you for this video! May I ask, how many gallons are your tanks? (Not sure if I just missed it). And is 1 cup of bleach enough to disinfect them? While I was searching online, I kept finding a ratio of 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Really want to ask coz that would mean a whole lot of bleach for bigger aquariums. Hope you can answer my questions. Thank you!
Great video, needed this for quarantine tank breakdowns. Some eggcrate lighting diffuser or styro under those rocks to reduce pressure points on the glass probably wouldn't be a bad idea though...
What did you do with the biomedia in the canister filter after you dumped it out? I'm considering sterilizing my tank as all my fish died from something, but I'm not sure if I should bleach the biomedia as well just in case something is hiding in there?
Hello Sir I’m currently here for I’m dealing with a dumb decision I made adding new plants and fish to my community tank with out quarantine and unfortunately everyone caught either ich or velvet and died. Tank is a 30 gallon , don’t mind starting over with new substrate ect. Would this be my best course of action? Been two weeks now and really dont want to give up on this hobby thankful for any reply 🙏🏼
If I was to use vinegar instead of bleach would I follow the same steps. I know I would need a a few gallons of vinegar for my set up just wondering if it would be the same steps.
I know the ratio for vinegar is like 9:1 so would need like 4-5 gallons for my 65g. Getting ready to swap it to a salt water set up. I know vinegar is safer if you don’t remove or neutralize all of it which is why I am thinking about vinegar instead. I know it needs to run a couple days with vinegar tho.
Hey Man, Thanks for the tip! Man.. I envy you... not for having such a beautiful room... it's for a room that you dont have to be careful in..I wish i had a place like that where i can slop around and "wipe up later" Best of luck this time around.
Very informative video man. Where did you get that scooper you used to remove the sand? Thanks for sharing and keep doing what you do if it works for you.
I personally would feel like the bleach residue would stick to parts of the sand bed since its deep. To me its better to remove and replace with new sand. If you are concerned about prices for and, you can use pool filter sand, its extremely affordable.
I’m not sure if my tank is infected. A few fish died but a half remain. Would all fish die if it was infected? The water doesn’t smell or anything. Water clear. Water parameters ok. I’d hate to go thru this process if it’s not required. How do you know if the tank is infected? Do you pour a cup after every fill up or just once?
You dont want to add bleach to the tank with fish, that will cause your benefical bacteria to die and you will need to recycle your tank, plus the fish would die. Were there any signs on your fish that passed? That may have showed why? Just keep an eye on your tank, if they keep dying, you might have to. Its mainly for when you have a deadly disease in the tank.
Thanks. O man I’d definitely take out the fish first. I wouldn’t add bleach to a tank with fish. Just s little worried bc a few fish had fungus and possibly internal parasites, I also f’d up and bought plants from petco without treating. On top of that added rock from my front yard without watching your video first about cleaning rocks. Then not quarantining new fish. So many things could have killed or infected some fish. I currently have 3 angelfish and four green cories that are healthy.
How much bleach would you recommend for a 20gallon tank? Some suggest a 1:9 ratio of bleach: water but it looks like you only used 1cub for this big tank. Just wondering?
I'm starting over but not for reason of disease. Switching to a new type of fish. I previously never quarantined because I was getting my cichlids from only 2 reputable places. Now that I'm going to do a community tank I'm going to quarantine first. Do you think I need to sterilize first before adding fish that I'm going to quarantine? Only two things I know that I've had in that tank where ich and internal parasites.
I’ve always been curious about how others disinfect / sterilize a tank. An essential practice for any sort of quarantine system, but I don’t get the impression it is something practiced as often as it should be in the main aquarium. At least, it isn’t really something I’ve seen many people discuss.. maybe because it isn’t that interesting to most people. Well, I find it interesting 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤓
Nice video! I have a question. In my aquarium i had multiple cichlid and siamese algea eaters. At one point the cichlid showed signs of FIsh TB and started dying 1 by 1. Despite having good watervalues. But My Siamese Algae eaters remain alive and have no problem whatsoever. How should I disinfect my tank? Seems like it takes alot of time. (Which i dont mind). But I cant let my Siamese algea eaters in a bucket for too long whileim disenfecting right? Kind Regards Fles
Thank you. What I would do is remove your Siamese algae eaters and have them in a plastic tote with your filter running on it so they still live. You will want to disinfect the tank with bleach like I showed in this video and let it run for a while and then take the time to rinse it a lot and let the clean water move around in there. You will want to also bleach your filter and get new media. So that might be tough depending on how many tanks you have and how many filters you have running that you can use. Because you could disinfect the tank all you want But the filter that was running that tank will still have remnants of whatever is in the tank. I hope that makes sense.
I use a 1-part bleach and 19-part water solution. If you want a stronger solution then lower the water portion of the bleach:water ratio. I believe it's what hospitals use as well.
Does this work if the tank had been medicated as well? No traces of meds left afterward? I am boiling substrate and filter media, will that handle that? I had a sick oscar and I medicated him but he never got better, imagine that an oscar not wanting to take meds or responding to meds. He died 5 months ago, I am still heartbroken but I need his canister filter and bio-media for another tank. I just want to be like, quadruple sure I wont be medicating a tank by re-using anything. Going to clean the canister and hoses using this bleaching method.
Thanks for the video! Very helpful! I have to do this to my 125 gallon goldfish tank since every week one dies. What do you do if you have live plants? Also how about one fish is carrying the virus and still alive? Won't it start the whole nightmare again?
No problem Joyce! I would get a tank set to qt all the fish while you are cleaning the tank. As for live plants I would imagine the bleach would harm them. I am not a plant expert I apologize
@@inventoryking I don't really like the idea of wasting the sand. It's $80.00 worth of Caribsea bioactive. Even though I'm going to kill any bacteria good or bad I can't just toss it.
If it was me, I would toss it. That is a lot of surface area that bleach residue can get stuck on and would be removed by safe or prime. So me its worth getting new sand
Hey Paul. Nice video. Question- Unrelated to the topic of the video. What type of lights are you running on those tanks and where do you get them? Thanks
Hi there i recently had a columnaris outbreak and it destroyed all my mbuna! i removed my substrate and aquascaping rocks and soaked them in a steralizing bath basically water mixed with a steralizing solution called milton bleach (designed for baby bottles and dummies etc) i let my substrate and rocks soak for around 16 hrs occasionally stirring the substrate every few hours, meanwhile i washed my tank with a sponge and spray bottle filled with undiluted milton bleach, i let the solution stay on the glass then rinsed it after a couple of hours, i ran both my cannisters continuously for about 16 hrs in a milton bleach water mix constantly cycling, i dumped my media because i thought it would hold the disease (seachem matrix) and all sponges were dumped too, after i rinsed everything continuously for around 8 hrs i built my tank and filters etc back up and filled with water, i then added 600ml of 9% hydrogen peroxide to my water and let it circulate for 24hrs, i then drained tank filled again added another 600ml of 9% hydrogen peroxide and let run for another 24hrs, then again i drained my tank re filled added another 600ml of 9% h202 and let it run for 24hrs and on final day i drained tank again refilled and added 1200ml of h202 and let run for 24 hrs. I also had my substrate and rocks in tank while dosing with h202, i am now 2 weeks past the treatment and about to start stocking my tank again do you think i have done enough to steralize my tank buddy?
Hi there thanks for this nice video and for the information. Actually I have a 500 L tank and it was cycled and things were fine I added 15 discus and in two weeks 7 are dead , I took the rest to quarantine tank, and I put some guppies in the 500 L tank and almost a week and guppies are doing great ! So first I thought maybe there is something that cause the death but then guppies are fine ??? No I am hesitate what shall i do? The fact i want to disinfect the tank but i honestly don't feel good to use bleach ...can I use lot of salt and let filters run for some days then remove water and clean it with hot water? Would that be ok or do you have other way than bleach? Please help. Merry- Christmas and happy new year thank you
You are welcome, thanks for watching. Have you checked the water parameters after the discus died? Maybe adding all discus at once caused the ammonia and nitrite to spike? If is best to use bleach since it will kill the bad. You have to rinse the tank a lot to help make sure any bleach residue is gone and then let it run with new water and Seachem safe to dechlorinate it. Did the discus show sickness?
@@inventoryking thanks for your fast reply. The water parameters always at the acceptable ranges and I do regular check and had no any nitrite or ammonia, the fact in a 500 L aquarium I am using 3 eheim Professional 1200 XL they are really well cycled ,they did not show any sign of nitrate, nitrite poisoning. Just on day 10 they start hiding and then head up tail down and the die ,I could safe 4 of them at the quarantine tank. The strange part at the same aquarium I am keeping 2 guppies to try if they die or no the fact they are doing great😂 Using bleach I agree with you it is the best way. But I am living in appartment and I am do fill and flush the aquarium Manually so it will be very hard to flush it so many time any refill it. At the moment I added 5 kilos of aquarium pure salt and I added esha 2000 and the aquarium filter is running hopefully it can help. So do you have any other suggestions a part from bleach. Maybe I can add more salt?? Please not I have other aquarium 240 L also discus and they are doing fine . Before they die I tried all the possible ways, easy life voogle, easy life filtermedium Epsom salt but no help. Now in quarantine I added aquarium salt,3 days Flagullol anti parasite. Changing water every 2 days. Then before yestarday I started bactopur direct anti bacteria and seachem para guard, I can see a slightly improvement. But this big aquarium also has gravel which is one year in use I sought maybe it is the gravel releasing some chemicals, but on the other hand I see guppies are doing fine 😢🤔 Thanks
@@inventoryking also I forgot to mention that I have sever asthma and any type of strong smell such as bleach could end dramatically for me since I stay in an apartment as I mentioned this also a reason make me afraid to use bleach 😂😢
Somewhat off topic, but I noticed in one shot you had an attachment for your python that had a temp gauge included. Is that something you bought, or did you make it yourself? And is there a video on it?
Great video. I’m a big fan of your channel. However, to thoroughly disinfect you need a bleach ratio of 1:10 to 1:20 based on the CDC and WHO (World Health Organization). Which would be way more than 1cup for your tank size. Essentially, bacteria is bacteria and viruses are viruses either in the aquarium hobby or everywhere else.
Thank just I have multiple fish tanks and 1 betta that I've had for a while since I started keeping bought a new cool nano tank n a pretty dragon tailed betta notice the thing had dropsy and some type of fungus and was being sold as a jumbo wen he is just swollen now I'm gonna b returning him n clean his tank can u bleach artificial gravel as well
Fin rot is pretty easily treatable…… it is also usually caused by poor water quality so I would do a nice big water change and you should be good to go but wouldn’t hurt to medicated the tank with something like polyguard just to be safe that their are no other yucky things lurking
Never used bleach and never would after my son (who was around 4/5 years old at the time) decided to help mummy clean the fish with *bleach* killed all my fish and that tank with numerous amounts of rinsing or scrubbing never got the smell of bleach out. *IF* I would ever need to steralize any tank or pond I would use Milton steralizing tablets which are safer than bleach (and don't leave a smell) but do the same job since they're made for baby bottles.
ive just had a weird disease (several years in the hobby and never seen anything like it) anialate almost all my bettas (all in different tanks) in 48 hours, and the survivors are all getting symptoms of the others less than a week later. all got dropsy or bloated abdomanims all at the same time with no other symptoms prior. everything was so quick. ive tried tons of meds and nothing is working. luckily my 13 year old bala and pleco are still hanging in there. but when everything dies im going to disinfect everything and start fresh. rip my wallet tho. so many live plants and expensive bettas gone in only a week
If you are bleaching the entire system, why did you drain it first and take the rocks and substrate out? Don’t you want to bleach all that too? Just dump bleach in and do the entire thing at once.
Great video Sir, I will going to do the same with my 40g tank, quick question, 1st time water with bleach and then 4-5 times fill and drain with clean water?
Yes fill with water and add some bleach. Let it filter for a bit so it gets everywhere. Then drain and fill and scrub. Repeat this 4-5 times or until the bleach smell is gone. And then safe!
My fish got ich :( 2 died and 1 is still alive before adding any new fish I wanted to clean out the entire tank but thought doing it with bleach is bad 0_0 will my new fish be ok if I cleaned EVERYTHING with bleach ?
Blanca, what are you planning on cleaning? Not the tank with the fish there they will die. Turn up the heat to 86 for a week or so, ick can't live in high heat. That is what I do. Search Ich life cycle at 86 degrees in google and you will see what I mean. If you want to bleach the decor that is fine OUTSIDE of the tank. And it has to be regular bleach and them soaked in a dechlorinating solution like seachem safe. If bleach gets into your tank it will cause the beneficial bacteria to die.
@@inventoryking I was going to clean the inside of the tank and the aquarium decoration along with the gravel all my gold fish died :( I emptied the water out and have it outside in the sun hopefully that works I dont have a heater for my aquarium should I just rinse it with water and set it up again like a new aquarium ? Should it be ich free being in the sun ? I wouldn't want any new fishes of mine to die :( I wanted to try getting a koi fish this time
Hey,I need help with this!,so I got a turtle about 6 months and as I do with all my pets I put the little guy in quarentine in this tank,6 months later the turtle is still doing more than fine but I'm getting a pair of frogs,im going to use the same tank so I was wondering if I should disinfect the tank to quarentine them for a month 🤔 Thanks for the help but I'm not native and my English isn't that good
Heyyyy so two of my cat fish died I have two blood parrot fish alive. A friend just gave me his thank he put bleach on the rocks and fill up the tank not removing any bleach. I clean up the rocks but I think it still had Clorox in it 💔 now my blood parrot fish had some white spots in his skin. I put them back in the small tank until I remove all rocks and get new ones and clean that tank with filter. Idk what else to do :,(
Edward, you can run bleach water through the python and after that run it through a bunch of water with seachem safe to dechrolinate it. That is what I have done. I hope you can check out some of my current videos as well. Thanks.
Thanks for this video. I have wondered how I'd handle a problem like this. How do you know that the disease is dead? 10 minutes doesn't seem very long for such a small amount of bleach in such a huge tank How many times would the nleach water recycle the water in 10 minutes? Would the silicone react badly to a longer time or more bleach? Cheers
Hi Margaret. So I know that it is a good amount because each time I drained and scrubbed it still smelt like bleach. Since the filter was empty, just the trays it should move a decent amount of water. The scrubbing helps.
I hate fish diseases especially fish TB all my time and money building a beautiful tank just for a crappy mycobacterium to take over it and i have to start the process all over again
Why don’t you make a friction fit extension for your pump with a bit of extra pvc pipe it’ll be cheap and save you a lot of time draining those epic tanks of yours
It looks like you have a coupler at the end of the pipe that goes half way down the tank and ends. My guess is it is glued together. Cut it off where it ends and use a coupler that is slip X slip. Don"t glue it at the end or where the extension connects 1/2 way down and push the pvc fitting together firmly. Cut a pipe to go to the bottom of the tank as an add on to use when needed. If the fittings ever become stuck , 1 or 2 pair of water pump pliers will undue it. I keep a pair of water pump pliers in my fish chemical box so I always ready. The brand have use and love is knipex. They are made in Germany and cost more money but worth every penny. The way the business end in the head is more narrow than everyone else who makes them including Chanel lock brand, so the German brand will fit in almost everywhere. The ease of one hand adjustment to open up larger or smaller. The grip of these priers is better than all others made and what every is garbed with them doesn't slip out. The ergonomics is great as well, like an extension of your hand. If you don't like the idea of your stuff not being glued together you could use a male adapter ( Slip pipe on one end of the fitting X Male pipe thread on the other end ) and a Female adapter ( Slip pipe X Female pipe thread ) to add an extension whenit is needed. i@@inventoryking
In the back of my mind I'm like ok hurry up fish expert and give me the answer fast! I have to disinfect 1 of my aquariums so I can start using it for my lil frogs, they ate the antenna of one of my rabbit snails 😭 💔 oh god! I'm freaking out a bit lmao but I hope her antenna grows back out :(
Could you cycle this with the sand and decor if you plan to re-use it. Perhaps leave it a little longer. Also is there any threat to damaging your pumps plastics if you leave it for an hour or two?
Unless it's a big tank, I'm just buying a new tank. Not worth the trouble, for something that still could kill the fish later. Like bleach I didn't get all the way out!
Paul please tell me how to get one of those inline thermometers that you have on your python hose attached to the faucet I've been looking for one of those forever. Thank you
Great video! Would you do a video on tank disinfection using Kings Water Systems? We make a hand held machine that creates ozone , hydrogen peroxide and chlorine. It is designed to not only kill all bacteria but reduce orders and tastes.
I never have seen DUMP like you. 1. You waste too much water to disinfect the tank.(Out of 100 only 30 percent water is drinkable). 2. You never said cleaning the Sand and Rock. There is also bacteria live. 3. You pull the rock that way where sand is crusing in glass. 4.You can use that bleach water if you have well or near by river. Atleast you can use that water cleaning your car. 5.you have sun sun canister filter with UV then how your tank need's fully clean like starting fresh. Anyway, next time if you need to do the same process then think about only Water. There is PP treatment you can use. where you can save your energy ,fish, and mainly Water. Be Smart. Best of luck.
A lot of people don't realize that bleach needs at least 10 minutes contact time to start working. Thanks for sharing.

He died 5 months ago, I am still heartbroken but I need his canister filter and bio-media for another tank. I just want to be like, quadruple sure I wont be medicating a tank by re-using anything. Going to clean the canister and hoses using this bleaching method.
Hi Lyz, that sucks! Sorry for your loss. I would think that bleach in the tank and filters etc would take care of it. I believe carbon removes meds.
@@inventoryking thanks so much for the reply!!
Any ideas on how to disinfect live plants after parasites
I am not sure, sorry
Paul over here doing vids LIKE A BOSS!😎👍🤙✌️
Thanks Matthew!! 👍🏻
What about the substrate should I bleach that or boil it. Or either one of those.
I would buy new substrate. Are you using sand?
@@inventoryking yes I am.
@@inventoryking I don't really like the idea of wasting the sand. It's $80.00 worth of Caribsea bioactive. Even though I'm going to kill any bacteria good or bad I can't just toss it.
The bleach will kill any beneficial bacteria
If it was me, I would toss it. That is a lot of surface area that bleach residue can get stuck on and would be removed by safe or prime. So me its worth getting new sand
Hey Paul. Nice video. Question- Unrelated to the topic of the video. What type of lights are you running on those tanks and where do you get them? Thanks
I got them off of eBay, and they are besmsworks. Cheap
How do u whistle so beautifully. It’s amazing.
Thank you!
Good video mate. Worth watching.
Thanks man!
inventoryking no problem mate. I’m new to your channel. Subbed about 30 seconds into this video
What are your “lessons learned” about having wild caught fish in a fish room? Would be a very informative video.
Great idea. I shall
Also, make sure the waster doesn't have Chloramine.
Correct.
Sir, i loved your video, but my tank had a out break of ich ,how would i disinfect the sand please
Thank you for the important information!
No problem, thanks for watching Mary
What was the reason to bleach the tank ? Thanks.
To get rid of any living bacteria that is from the sickness
I do the same thing on my quarantine tank.
Nice!
Amazing setup
Thanks
The strange part at the same aquarium I am keeping 2 guppies to try if they die or no the fact they are doing great😂
Using bleach I agree with you it is the best way.
Before they die I tried all the possible ways, easy life voogle, easy life filtermedium
Epsom salt but no help.
Now in quarantine I added aquarium salt,3 days Flagullol anti parasite.
Changing water every 2 days.
Then before yestarday I started bactopur direct anti bacteria and seachem para guard, I can see a slightly improvement.
But this big aquarium also has gravel which is one year in use I sought maybe it is the gravel releasing some chemicals, but on the other hand I see guppies are doing fine 😢🤔
Thanks
@@inventoryking also I forgot to mention that I have sever asthma and any type of strong smell such as bleach could end dramatically for me since I stay in an apartment as I mentioned this also a reason make me afraid to use bleach 😂😢
Where the discus head up tails down at the water surface?
Ah I understand! Have you looked at purchasing at air respirator?
How can I disinfact Driftwood after death from Disease in the aquarium?
I wouldn’t, it will soak up the chemicals
Somewhat off topic, but I noticed in one shot you had an attachment for your python that had a temp gauge included. Is that something you bought, or did you make it yourself? And is there a video on it?
Anthony, I built that. My own DIY. I do have a video in my DIY playlist
Thanks!
Find it?
I did, thanks. I'll probably wind up making one, myself. 👍
0:19 gave me a good laugh
Lol yeah! Epic fail
Thanks for sharing
This is the man you want to ask to help you move.. He doesn't mess around.. Bull by the horns and gets it done..ha
Lol! Thanks for watching Larry
Omg thats why my rare fish are dying
Contamination? Or bleach?
Love how he drags the rocks on the glass bottom, NOT!
NiteRider Band that part was very stressful to watch
Yeah that was bad!
bad on me
Thank just I have multiple fish tanks and 1 betta that I've had for a while since I started keeping bought a new cool nano tank n a pretty dragon tailed betta notice the thing had dropsy and some type of fungus and was being sold as a jumbo wen he is just swollen now I'm gonna b returning him n clean his tank can u bleach artificial gravel as well
Can I leave my heater in while the bleach is in the tank? I want to be able to reuse it if possible; it was new and expensive
I think I would leave it in
What do u do about your deco. Same thing?
I will get new sand, and maybe bleach the rocks or get new ones
What do you do with the rocks?
I got new ones. Not worth it imo
How do you clean the decor and gravel?
The decor can be cleaned the same way. I would just replace the gravel.
Thank you!
No problem
What size tank are you disaffecting ?
125 gallon tanks
Uhh a little too energetic but it’s good to see another quality content creator who cares about content over money
I appreciate your feedback
Doesn't the bleach damage the silicone?
Not sure. I didnt have any issues, but I dont know
@@inventoryking gotcha. Thanks for the info. :)
@inventoryking Do I have to toss out my filter media after a fin rot outbreak? Nobody is currently in my tank
Fin rot is pretty easily treatable…… it is also usually caused by poor water quality so I would do a nice big water change and you should be good to go but wouldn’t hurt to medicated the tank with something like polyguard just to be safe that their are no other yucky things lurking
I added glass media pool filter sand and it says it has chemicals is this bad I haven’t added my fish back yet
Hey Billy, I would remove it, sanitize the tank and start over with different sand.
Thank you for sharing
Thankyou! Super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
How do you clean the rock and decors?
The rocks and substrate I would just get new.
inventoryking I meant decorations, not substrate
ive just had a weird disease (several years in the hobby and never seen anything like it) anialate almost all my bettas (all in different tanks) in 48 hours, and the survivors are all getting symptoms of the others less than a week later. all got dropsy or bloated abdomanims all at the same time with no other symptoms prior. everything was so quick. ive tried tons of meds and nothing is working. luckily my 13 year old bala and pleco are still hanging in there. but when everything dies im going to disinfect everything and start fresh. rip my wallet tho. so many live plants and expensive bettas gone in only a week
Did you toss the sand?
Yes. I thought it was better to just get new sand
If you are bleaching the entire system, why did you drain it first and take the rocks and substrate out? Don’t you want to bleach all that too? Just dump bleach in and do the entire thing at once.
Christopher, I didnt use the rocks or sand. I got new sand and rocks. I didnt want to bleach them.
Good vid buddy luckily I have never had to do this and don’t ever want to but good to know seems like a lot of work hope it works for you
Thanks Ryan! It’s time consuming for sure. Glad it’s not something you have Dealt with, because it sucks
What about if I have a perfectly fish that survived the treatment?
Maybe still a carrier for the disease.
Nice vid.. what did you do with the sponges and media you just get rid and start fresh? And did you bleach the rocks and sand?
The sponges I will bleach, but the other media I am going to throw away.
I wouldn't want any new fishes of mine to die :( I wanted to try getting a koi fish this time
Blanca Carson Koi grow to 3 feet. They’re beautiful but will likely outgrow your tank super fast.
Hey,I need help with this!,so I got a turtle about 6 months and as I do with all my pets I put the little guy in quarentine in this tank,6 months later the turtle is still doing more than fine but I'm getting a pair of frogs,im going to use the same tank so I was wondering if I should disinfect the tank to quarentine them for a month 🤔
Thanks for the help but I'm not native and my English isn't that good
UM MY DAD GOT A FISH TANK AND HE WASHED IT WITH LIKE DISHWASHER STUFF AND LIKE HOW TO I FIX IT
rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse!!!!!
Idk what else to do :,(
Hi Paul...nicely done. I am so in love with your water pipe system... amazing!! Happy Easter!!😍💦🌻
Hi Deb, thanks a lot!
I have a python and am worried about running black thru it. What can I do?
Edward, you can run bleach water through the python and after that run it through a bunch of water with seachem safe to dechrolinate it. That is what I have done. I hope you can check out some of my current videos as well. Thanks.
Thanks for this video. I have wondered how I'd handle a problem like this. How do you know that the disease is dead? 10 minutes doesn't seem very long for such a small amount of bleach in such a huge tank How many times would the nleach water recycle the water in 10 minutes? Would the silicone react badly to a longer time or more bleach? Cheers
That should have read "How many times would the ffilter recycle the water in 10 minutes? "
It is very frustrating.
Why not buy a ozone generator with an air stone? You can use to disinfect filters, nets, etc..
Thanks for the suggestion
Why don’t you make a friction fit extension for your pump with a bit of extra pvc pipe it’ll be cheap and save you a lot of time draining those epic tanks of yours
Please elaborate
I'm freaking out a bit lmao but I hope her antenna grows back out :(
hydrogen peroxide doesnt kill bacteria it can be use for algae
Thanks
Could you cycle this with the sand and decor if you plan to re-use it. Perhaps leave it a little longer. Also is there any threat to damaging your pumps plastics if you leave it for an hour or two?
Are you talking about the bleach?
@@inventoryking yeah if i leave the bleach water run for longer. Is there any chance of damaging the plastics or tank liner or anything like that.
Kaleb I think you will be ok. Just not too long. And rinse a ton
@@inventoryking 10/4 just added bleach to the 40 gal. Had a fungus wipe out the entire tank about a week ago. 😧😧 thanks for the video
Wouldn't the chlorine in the tap water be enough?
To diluted imo
Unless it's a big tank, I'm just buying a new tank. Not worth the trouble, for something that still could kill the fish later. Like bleach I didn't get all the way out!
Understandable.
Paul please tell me how to get one of those inline thermometers that you have on your python hose attached to the faucet I've been looking for one of those forever. Thank you
Hi Steve, I build that. I have a DIY video on it
I am confused why you refill the tank 5 times
Rinsing it out
Great video! Would you do a video on tank disinfection using Kings Water Systems? We make a hand held machine that creates ozone , hydrogen peroxide and chlorine. It is designed to not only kill all bacteria but reduce orders and tastes.
The intro😂👍🏻
Lol!!!
Where u get big rocks like that?
Hey Ty, I got them at my local rock yard / nursery. They are Basalt Wall Rock.
I'm wondering what the disease was that you need to do this?
David, I am still on the fence with this, but I do feel like cross contamination from one of my Wild Caught groups could be the culprit
@@inventoryking you dont quarantine them before put in maintank?
Great information once again
Thanks
What about when it gets too dry to wipe it down
Not sure what you mean?
But what about the fishes that are carrying the diseases? Aren’t they going to reintroduce the disease back in?
Unfortunately those fish have died.
Nice info .
Thanks
thx thx thx so much my fish where dying every day and thay had fungel and ich
No problem, That stinks!
