Greetings from the USA and Congratulations on your winnings and I thought you did a marvelous job playing the game but it did hurt my heart when you missed out on that classic car on your second bonus round (and I was shouting the answer to you, LOL). I'm a lifelong "Wheel" fanatic (love game shows in general), watched the show with my grandpa growing up and I've always had dreams on becoming a contestant on the "Wheel" and I actually auditioned for it 3 times, made it to the finals but never made it to the stage. There's a "Wheel of Fortune Live" stage tour kicking off beginning next month. I'm pumped up & exciting about the venue and I already have my ticket when it comes to my city, this is like my last chance ! The Australian version of "Wheel" was/is very popular to us USA "Wheel" fanatics and it was one of my all-time favorite International versions and I know all the history of the show and of all the different hosts & hostesses throughout it's history, the best known pair, without a doubt were John Burgess & the late Adriana Xenides, they were known as the Pat Sajak & Vanna White of Australia and they actually met Pat & Vanna because they were special guests on our "Wheel" 30 years ago (along with all the International "Wheel" Hosts and/or Hostesses at the time). What were they like and do you still have any of the prizes you've won on the program ???
It was a very busy and stressful set as they filmed the whole 5 shows for that week all at once, so there wasn't a lot of time for chatting. Having said that, both John and Adriana seemed very nice people. As it's over 30 years ago now, we don't have any of the prizes still. I remember we sold the golf clubs and bought our first dining table with the money. It was a great fun show and very popular in Australia too.
I don’t know how embarrassing your appearances on Aussie Wheel were, but you did a fantastic job playing the game well!l What was it like to be on your country’s version? I can imagine meeting with John Burgess in-person; he must be as humble as any game show host. Must be a fun experience! I’m from the U.S., and Wheel Of Fortune has been loved by many people, and it’s running for its 40th season this year! I’ve always wanted to be on Wheel, and I’m still determined to do well on solving puzzles and wish cash and prizes in the future! Cheers!
Name one other humble game show host. Richard Dawkins, who once got on set and tried to justify sucking face with every female contestant (potentially giving them all mononucleosis and herpes)? Maybe his mormon replacement the pedophile? The anti-Semitic host of The Newly Wed Game, perhaps? The bald black host of modernish TPIR who cracks racist white jokes? As if Bob Barker, the conceited and arrogant pig, wasnt enough.
These aired November 22nd, 23rd and 24th, 1995. Note the "Goodie" wedge was absent in favour of the "Beatles" wedges for this week. Also, shouldn't *CHUBBY CHECKER, LET'S TWIST AGAIN* be categorised as "Artist & Song"? Anyway, yet another great *Wheel* find, and great to see yet another big final round comeback from nowhere!
At the end of the 3rd game the car is won it’s the 1st video on RUclips that has a car win form the John Burgess era we have seen car wins on RUclips from Rob Elliott, Steve Oemcke and Larry Emdur but never a car win on RUclips from Burgo.
@@7120Magnum it’s quite a RARE episode with Mazda which replaced Renault who left Wheel Of Fortune mid season in 1995 before being replaced by Hyundai at the start of the 1996 season for this special Beatles Week it’s a vintage car from MG which was won at the end of the 3rd Game in this video.

The following week’s TV Week featured a picture of a clean-shaven Burgo with Adriana, she was actually holding the razor to his face - something for charity and he decided not to grow it back after people told him he looked younger.
