Thank you for a great review. I agree with all that you say, and the OBB RailJets are superb trains. I last travelled by RailJet from Wien to Zurich, just pre-Covid, and there was at seat service in 1st Class throughout the journey, so let’s hope OBB reintroduce that soon !

The ÖBB 1st class lounge was closed because of Ukrainian refugees? That makes no sense. If you have no further information, I will research it.

I spoke to a lady in the ticket office - I asked her if my ticket got me access to the lounge, she said it was closed as it was being used for Ukrainian refugees - in what context I do not know.
