Nice Sri Mohammed. It was really wonderful to see and hear this divine music. Medicines to purge the body and music to purge the soul said Pythagoras millenia ago. Like you had the pleasure of being with Subramanian in music, I had the pleasure of working with him in the Surgical unit of my alma mater Madras Medical College 51 years ago; we were both house surgeons assisted a few surgeries together!

Yes. He was one year senior to me in Madras Medical College; during my final training, we were in the same surgical unit and so I knew him. At that time I was interested only in Carnatic music. However, after going to the UK for higher training, I learnt to listen to and enjoy classical western music too. So, it is a double pleasure to hear L Subramaniam playing both types with ease. Actually, Pythagoras said that 'medicines to cure the body and music to cure the soul'. How right he was! @@prashantchauhan1440

Dr. Subramaniam is rightly called "GOD OF VIOLIN" this planet has. Thousands of bows to Sir........
muslim women playing violin with hijab couldn't believe my own eyes that too in an Arabian land. Taliban be aware of this gems. I always thought there is nothing in arabia which could stimulate arts or science to stimulate an intellectual growth. I pretty much thought their culture is barren like their land. The islamic conservatives wants nothing but an animal life and I was shaken completely to see omani women playing instruments. My salutations to them.

The violin rendition seems to be in Raga Charukeshi. The great rendition by all the artists and Dr L Subramanium who always charges atmosphere with his masterly renditions with unparalleled intricacies and sweetness. Greatly thanks for uploading.

I used to attend performances of the orchestra in Muscat in 1995. They were always enthusiastic but the violin tuning was 'school orchestra' level This is of a different level.
This is a lasting tribute to the late Sultan Qaboos's desire to introduce his people to his love of symphonic music gained during his exile in England.
The present days people must feel proud that we are all contemperary people of the ghe great Indian Musician

They say that the Germans invent the Violin but nobody can play the instrument like the Tamils I don't know if it is true, I see here that we Indians are together with the Arabs even in music
The violin was invented in Italy in mid 1560 by Andre Amati of Cremona. Nevertheless, great skill on display here👌

Nobody says the Germans invented the violin. It was invented in northern Italy, based on instruments from the Middle East.
