Estes Rockets On D Motors! - Klima Rocket Motor [4K]

Hello Folks!
Today DDK and I are testing out some new rocket motors from a German company Klima. These are 18mm motors and will fit most Estes rockets. The best part... they're D power!! :D Enjoy!

Classic. My Wizard met a similar end with a C6 motor... even with a streamer recovery system, never saw it again... Those Klima motors look like a ton of fun...

I've never heard of this company before, now I am intrigued! I would have changed the rockets to streamer recovery and added some red colored powder to see where the ejection happened. Great video, thanks for sharing!

Love these motors, lost a Super Alpha on a less breezy day so you did well.
Thinking of using one in a two stage but WIP.

I do like Klima motors. The ejection charge is a bit more powerful than on the Estes motors. More of a "bang" than a "pffutt". Something you might want to bear in mind for minimum diameter rockets... On the other hand, no need for a stuffer tube in BT-60 rockets ;-)

Aerotech makes 18mm D motors. I remember I was at my local NAR launch and some guy asked me to launch his rocket. He stepped back and I pushed the button. BOOSH! Very fast!

It's quite limited at the moment due to its high performance. So I couldn't really say I'm afraid.
