  • In this episode of MUNCHIES Guide to Sweden, Ivar’s trip to the Skåne region kicks up a few surprises. First, we learn about Spettkaka, a meringue dessert which has been given PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status under European Union law. For lunch, Ivar stops in Malmö to find out about the huge impact of falafel on the city. And Swedes love to celebrate with food, so Ivar ends the day with a goose feast in Lund to celebrate a festival called Mårten Gås.

sherry taylor english comes partially from old norse learned from the viking age (swedish comes fully(duh)) so a lot of words dealing with trade such as gold, silver, boat and fish are similar, aswell as body parts and other basic words, then during the industrial revolution sweden got a lot of words from england for timely inventions such as electricity, telephone, train, dildo, and machine

The Philippines has an equivalent to Black Soup. We call it Dinugoan. (Dugo being the Tagalog word for blood.) however, we use pigs' blood and cook it much more thoroughly along with all the organs and innards. It's the dish I most miss since turning vegetarian.
