thank you for this review and test. i have an SSG10A3 and I was quite surprised how loud it is! I'll try to update the gun with this kit hoping for a quieter result. Thanks again.
Nicely done. I bought one after seeing this & aka statens vid confirmed it actually works. My one criticism is that you guys being “testers” get extra parts apparently. Us mere mortals only get the standard kit which means 1 less gold piece than you. So, although you & staten both make full gold pistons, in reality it can’t be done with standard kit so your set ups can’t really be copied like I tried to do.
Yes at the time I thought you guys got what we did. But you can buy and extra gold piece sperately. I think akastaten doesn't use 5 gold any way only I did. The difference really is minor anyway 🙂👍
I did I lubed mine with car engine oil. The stalker position is way tighter than other pistons beacuse it has to work in ssg10 and vrs platforms and there is a small difference in there cylinder sizes. But that does help with air seal so its not all bad. If lube doesn't get you there I would get a few fps adjusters 🙂
Outstanding quality! Don't be 'scared' to lay the theory on us. Those not interested can just skip it. I'd love to know what the parameters are (how is weight of the piston influencing things, what fps adjuster rings will do,....)
Well the physics behind the heavier weight piston giving a flatter hop I don't under stand personal but it's what people say. The fps adjuster make the spring togher and more compressed increasing power so more means more power. You basically use them to fine turn a spring to an exact power.
Super similar sound wise. I usually add a tiny bit of lead tape to my pistons. I like stalker stuff but I'm not sure I need this when my Nov/lambda pistons sound similar with sorbo pads and some lead tape. I don't run an air brake because we use high joules here and that piston won't work with some of the newer bore up cylinders for more air volume for longer barrels.
As I said my audio didn't capture it I recommend you watch Akastatens video and you can hear the real difference. He has profession grade mics and its scary how quite it is. In person it's night and day I'd say about 5 times quiter ther is basically now piston noise hardly at all no thump. The piston will work in all ssg10 and vsr size cylinders and the piston cup has be optimised for those diameters. It is compatible with 90 degree sears
Really great video! The only problem I have is that your head isn't in the middle of the light set up you have in the background. Really hitting my OCD nerve there 😁😁😁
Usually joule creep occurs but in some setups its nearly non existent. Its down to a number ot factors like the volume of the cylinder to barrel ratio, the type bucking I.e. flat or bump shaped etc. I am getting slight joule creep. But in my setup as I have short stroked it which results in very little. This is because the volume of air in the cylinder is actually less when short stroked. I also tune my guns to the desired joules with the weight bb I play in game with so ill never exceed legal limits. I think chronoing with 0.2s at sites is bad as I have seen some guns pass on 0.2s then when the player chronos with their actual weight they use in game it is nearly 40% more powerful and way past legal limits.
I don't understand how is such a stiff spring cocked with the bolt that easily? The spring is so hard to pull or compress with my bare hands why is it so easy when its in the gun? What did that bolt actually do? How does it manage to compress that spring??
It's just you have a better grip of a bolt then you would if you tried to do it in your hands where it is free to move around the cylinder holds it so it only moves one way bit everywhere like it would in your hands if you get me
I wanted to record that but my mic wasn't really good enough to capture it but your in look because this video this just that the difference is nigh and day completely. ruclips.net/video/04hPpzS6SGo/видео.html
@@FOXGREEN Yeah AK Staten's video also good, but was done for a 2.3 Joule set up as well. Gun definitely very silent, but would love to see a review for a 1 joule set up with air brakes. Thanks for reply
This set up isn't for 1 joule that's harder to make quite believe it of not I actually explain that in detail in this video its worth watching that part but there will be a solution for that later 😉
Great video and comparison! I will look into this for our incoming SSG10 and also our older Bravo BV3. I believe the BV3 is based on the VSR platform??? If so would this be compatible? With me being new I wasn’t sure. Thanks again for taking the time to do this. Very informative!
Nice video man as always- if you were to fit a 2.3j spring as in the video and configure the piston (weight and short stroke) to adjust the FPS to get it firing just under 1j would it be noticeably quieter then as opposed to just marginally quieter with a 1j spring
It's quiter than the nov setup with the longest airbreak but only just as I explain in the video 1 joule is harder to make quite but the good thing is we have now figured it out and that will come out in time and that will be noticeably quiter for sure 😁
Great video! Question: what would be the difference on performance and sound, from an all aluminium build and an all steel build? Trying to find the best solution and my SSG 10 still sounds loud on an heavy and light build with the small air break.. I’m Confused
OK so I would suggest playing g with your airbreak extend it a good bit and see hiw that works. Also what joules you running and is the hop up and the novrtisch cylinder head all standard yes? You haven't changed those out? Are you getting a good airseal also?
@@FOXGREEN thanks for the reply, yes good airseal, everything is stock. Except the new piston and spring guide. It’s a 2.8j spring. With the small airbreak its 2.6j with all steel plus one alu weight and alu head. With long airbreak it’s shooting at 0.67j and still around 95db foam suppressed… any other recommendations?
@@FOXGREEN I asked my friend and he made bigger, first one doesnt work very good, but second one Is perfect. He can make his own parts for airsoft guns
Hi, great video but just to clarify was the set up you were using in the video for 2.3 joules (my sites limit) and when it chronoed at 3.48 joules do you think taking one of the fps rings out would help reduce the joules slightly. And sorry I think I missed what spring you were using. Thank you very much.
Yes I was using 2.3 joules in this video. Well sound like you are way over powered over 1.1 joules over what you need you must have a way too strong spring in it
@@FOXGREEN Sorry I mistyped, what I meant was for your gun when it chronoed at joules would taking one of the rings off help? Also to get the 2.3 joule setup with the stalker what joule Rapax spring were you using. Thanks
You can use the 1 plus joule spring to get what you want. If you take one section off it won't shoot need 5 minimum. If you could do that it would increase the volume and make it more powerful. To reduce the power add a section on so there are 6 that will decrease the pistons volume and travel distance reducing power.
Hey Fox, awesome review! I agree the BB going past was louder than the piston. Question for you. I currently use a JG Bar 10 with Wolverine Bolt because of slam fire issues. I bought another JG Bar 10 because I wanted a backup without having to use HPA on my backup. Do you know if this product will slam fire or if you need to get a different sear or trigger box to keep it from slam firing?
You may need a 90 degree trigger search as I am not sure if the JG has that or not. It may have a 45 degree sear. You'll need to find that out first as this runs on a 90 degree dear
@@FOXGREEN Gotcha, thanx. JG Bar 10 owners would have to purchase a new trigger box to use this. Make sense because the SSG10 doesn't have the same trigger box as the JG.
hi again did you try SILENCER MOD! washing up gloves ? and could i use Action Army Hop-Up Unit, im stripping down my mb3 ( so im going to use a S-trigger v 9.2 and thinking using hop up unit if works ) been tould ive just got to change screw holes 3mm to 4 then ok 🤞my gun comes on this firday and first game on saturday so hoping to do all mods before game 😬😬😬😉
Thanks Foxgreen, Great review as always. Can you confirm that this piston is not really suited to guns under 1 joule (entire Irish Market) as no real benefit for the money spent. Thanks.
Yes I sure can I personally think for 1 joule no its not suited. This is more for 1.5/2 joules all the way up as powerful as you want. As I explain there is a very good reason for this in the video. But you will be glad to know I have helped solve the problem and eventually there will be a 1 joule version. So hold off until that.
@@FOXGREENhey FoxGreen, I have a question I cannot seem to get my fps any higher then 1.55 J. My field limit is 2.8 J and max bb weight is .43 grams so I am trying to have around 2.6-2.8 J for .43 gram bbs but I just can’t seem to increase my fps. I have a m160 spring and an m220 spring and I tried both but the 160 only gets .80 J and the m220 spring gets only around 1.55 J. The piston weight combo I use is almost the same as yours except I have one light piece instead of all heavy pieces. I can’t seem to figure out what to do to increase the fps is there anyway you can help out with that with some advice or anything? It would be extremely extremely appreciated.
Just ordered mine, I understand the majority of 6 wondering for me I am after a 2.3j (max) set up what wieghts and air brake length would you recommend
You really got to play around with it takes a bit of tinkering to get the max quitness out of it but try 6 pieces and the medium lenght air break to start and pleny of lubricant on the piston cup when you reassemble.
@@FOXGREENJust thought I'd update you, i got the rapax rms 2j+ spring and stalker scorpion piston. My ssg10a1 now fires at 2j-2.2j and it's definitely quieter. Thank you for this video it helped me out alot
Similar to what I used here but maybe use 2 3 gold and 2 black sections instead you may need an fos adjuster ring as the shorter barrel may effect power a little.
@@FOXGREEN Thanks a lot! One last question: Are the fps adjuster rings already included in the packaging of the spring? Quote of skirmshop: "All RMS springs come with two PETG printed spacers included in the package."
I was wondering if this piston for the ssg10 limits the fps? Ive heard of some really quiet pistons that turn a 5 joul sniper into a 2 or less. Id love to make my gun quieter but not at the risk of making my accuracy or fps lower. I prefer far range shots even as far as sniping goes, and need the most powerful but also the most quiet gun. I just started airsoft and hardly know anything about gun upgrades. I used my ssg10 in a 4 day war sim with trenches and a one life per day limit, over the span of i think 2 or 3 kilometers, and had some extreme luck keeping the enemy from flanking our camp. I took out 3 guys in a group of 7 going for a flank while they fired airsoft artillery and and grenades from theyre trenches. Even with my perfect hide and good distance, they found the direction I was in by baiting themselves and staying silent to hear my shot. They opened fire on the small waterfall i was perched on between a few mossy rocks and sent me back to camp for the rest of the day. They admitted to not seeing me at all, and hardly even heard me from the distance i was at bet they got lucky from the sound alone. If theres pistons and airbreaks that keep your 5J rifle quiet without affecting power or fps, im quite desperate for something like that. If someone could get back to me on this, id greatly appreciate it being that my im extremely unintelligent in the world of airsoft. Thank you
They can effect power but only if you set them up wrong. Lubrication if the piston is also important if you do that right you will be fine. The biggest impact to power is the lenght of air break you use. Too long and you can see 20% power loss but you can make some of this back with lubrication on the piston. The key is getting the right lenght airbreak which is why this is so good and it can be adjusted like a screw to fine tune it. It's a slow process but when you get it right the results are amazing!
@FOXGREEN OH okay perfect! I'd like to give this product a try because I was absolutely amazed with how quiet it is. I have a spring that bumps my rifle up to about 7 joules, would installing this and the Scorpian piston/air brake keep my rifle up around 5 joules whilst staying quiet? The ssg10 is fairly loud and can't say what would happen with such a powerful spring.
Hey man. I’m running almost the same set up as you. I have the stalker piston with 7 weighted pistons attached, rapax 2J spring and running a stock short barrel for my novritsch ssg10. It is shooting at and average of 360fps. Do you have any advise for me to lower the fps still so it meets the 328fps limit here in ireland? Thanks man!
Ya sure man you and extend the airbreak to ad long ad it can go try that first if that does bring it down enough cut 2 coils off the spring and you will get it down 🙂
What BB weight are you using pinoycyclist8731? Because I put the piston into my ssg10 and I have 4 heavy and one light and then the lighter piston head and a m220 spring and I only get 250 fps or 1.55 Joules with a .49. I am completely stuck on how to get my fps up to around 2.8 joules. When I tried .28 gram bbs I got to around 350 fps but I want to be able to have 2.8 joules with atleast a .43g bb.
@@nathankolyandra7517 Hey man, I use .48 of the novritsch ones. I run 4 gold and 2 black pistons to short stroke my gun. I managed to bring it down to 315-320fps now. I’m just using a longer air brake but i’m still using rapax 2j spring.
sorry dyslexic and fine it hard to do these things is there some where or could you tell me what set up for standerd SSG10 with this items eg piston and a rapax APS2 Style Spring (2+Joule/Blue)- SRS//TAC41/SSG/VSR so i can play on field with 500fps max? if you could help it would be great ?? so like 3 gold 1 black ect? thankyou
There is no really set rule you ki d of have to play with it u ril you get it to suitm the lenght od the airbreak makes a big difference to the power so that's a good way to fi e tune it. But do use 5 pieces I have 3 black and two gold now and make sure you use lots if lubrication on the piston cup so oil or something similar to get great consistency
I'm very disappointed with my stalker piston for the vsr. I'm running the action army Teflon cylinder and can't even get a full seal with the piston alone and it makes a loud slapping sound on trigger pull :/
Any clue how the scorpion compares to the Novritsch stock piston with air brake pins? I have an SSG10 A2 with an m220 / 5J spring and the air brake pins won't do much there concerning noise level... iPhone mic says 96dB without and 92dB with silencer, both without air brake pins. Haven't measured yet with pins but subjectively it won't do much.
I haven't tried the Novritsch ssg10 at 5 joules with eother the stock set uo or the scorpion setup I only tired both up to 3 joules and the differences from the Novritsch setup with airbreak to the scorpion was massive. Night and day.
The only feature you mention that reduces noise is the air brake but you don't compare it to the stock Novritsch piston with an air brake. It is also important to account for Joule loss, which you didn't show any measurements for. You need to compare the noise from two setups outputting the same joules, both with airbrakes, and different pistons. This will probably require different springs/fps adjuster rings to match the Joules. That way you can isolate the factor of the piston to know if it actually makes a difference.
I chrono both setups at 17:00 minutes onwards actually. The purpose of this video is to compare the stock piston to a modified one. Not a modified nov piston to a modified after marked one. The novrtisch airbreak doesn't actually do much I think that has been proven with quite a while. The fact the scorpion seutip had an airbreak and the nov one diest actuall further proves the acorpions effectiveness b3cause as you know an airbreak reduces power by sometimes up to 15% meaning to get both setups running at the same power, as I have shown, I needed more fps adjusters and a slightly bigger spring in the scorpion setup to achieve the same power as the nov setups with no air break. Even with that it came out much much quiter. In person the results are far superior.
@@FOXGREEN you're right my bad! I missed that Chrono. However w/ regard to the air brake I don't think it's possible to rule out the possibility that the actual piston does not make any difference in the noise and that the only difference is that one is air braked, and the other is not. For someone who's primary focus is to reduce noise, it is not clear if they should air brake the stock Novritsch or buy this piston...
I think there is an I stallation video are these thr stalker rubber piton head pads or just something you're putting in the cylinder yourself? I don't use those.
I just wanna do a overall review, I bought the Piston 2 days ago and I tried so many combinations (around 5 hours). My Ssg10 ist shooting -10db and that is very good, But the Last centimeter of my bolt pull is so hard that I can only reload when I am standing (the end of the Piston doesn‘t fit perfect in the ssg10) In my opinion I wouldn‘t recommend this Piston, the idea is brilliant, but in real life it isn‘t worth the price.
You should talk to stalker about it because if you got a piece that's you think doesn't fit totally right they will replace it. I haven't had the same issue as you or a few people I know. It seems like an issue that can be sorted easily though. What spring are you using?
Yes it make it quiter but nit as quite ans the scorpion it's a combination of things. The fact that you can adjust the airbreak length very precisely, the more conical Shap to the piston head and the materials used. Also the spring guide has zero wobble with rapax springs which results in non of that signatire that twang sound you get with the orginal smaller sprong guide.
The head parts there are two in the kit the black is lighter than the gold so kts really just weight difference. Heavier gives better consistency I found and a flater bb trajectory the lighter one works better for a quiter shot.
@@FOXGREEN I thought a Heavy piston means That the shots are more quiet. My Goal is to make my ssg10 as quiet as possible, could you give me a tip whats the best setting to achieve this please. Thank you for the fast answer by the way.
I would recommend trying the heaviest set up you can go for to start with as that worked best for me. Also if you have you have the SSG10 A1 I woukd stuff the stock as its very noisy I think this video is the best one out there to help you actually: ruclips.net/video/04hPpzS6SGo/видео.html
@@FOXGREEN The Piston arrived today, I used 4 Gold and 2 Black pieces + the Bumper pad, the Airbreak is installed too, But my gun is so much louder and i lost Around 5 meters range (With max hop now), could you Tell me why?
What weight bbs are you using the gun is already very accurate so I bet you are using too light bbs that are bad quality. I recommend using 0.48 g bls bbs before you make any upgrades to your gun.

Hey foxgreen! I'm from Canada and i ordered the piston as soon as your video came out and it just came in!!!😄I'm really happy with the resulting quiteness but as you mentioned the joules have decreased significantly. I'm just wondering where you got the fps adjuster rings for your stalked spring guide. Awesome video! would really appreciate some feedback! Thanks!
You got to lube the crap out of the piston cup its a tight fit because it achieves a perfect air seal. My fps adjusters actual came with the rapax spring in the packet 🙂
@@FOXGREEN I actually forget to pick up a rapax spring along with the piston when i ordered it. Would you recommend the "Rapax APS2 style spring 2+joule" or the "Rapax RMS 2+joule spring" From off of the skirmshop site? And would they both come with fps adjuster rings for the stalker spring guide?
Hey! U are using 300mm barrel and ur havin 2,4J with rapax 2+ i got the exact same setup with good lubrication and i get 1,5 max :D i another comment u say "use 3+ joule rapax with 300mm barrel to get 2,3J" i dont get ist pls help :D
Ya so in this video I have short stroked the gun which gives it less air volume. I did this by adding 5 middle sections as opposed to 6 so I am using a 3 joule rapax to account for that and ended up getting 2.4 joules as you can see from my chrono test with that. The lenght of the air break is also something to consider the longer it is the less power you will get so you can mess with that to achieve the best quietness and power ratio. I wont lie it takes a few hours of messing to get the results you want which is why I say on the video it's not a beginners mod 🙂
@@FOXGREEN ok im confused :D at ~8:45 u say i get with the 2+joule spring -> 2,3 joules with the normales 5 pcs. setup :D and if someone wants to short stroke 3+j spring .. i only saw the 5pcs. piston beforce crono and thought ur doing this with the normal 2+j spring .. im from germany maybe i misunderstood something, sorry :D Thank you for the fast repsonse!

I have a question I am using a 3J Rapax, 0,46g BBs and TDC 2.0 and I have 3,94J with optimal game hop up adjustment and got the stalker piston to get it quieter. Why do I have only 3,3J with the same weight than the original Nov piston even though I am not using an airbreak and if I adjust the piston to the heaviest setup (still no airbreak) I still only have 3,3J, please help...
In this video I mention needing to lube the piston cup the cup is much tighter than the novrtisch cup to give a better airseal bit the down side is a little more friction. But with lub you can overcome that and get your joules back up.
@@FOXGREEN thanks for you answer! In fact the piston was lubed but only a small amount, do you think that the heaviest setup with a 3J spring and 0.46g BBs will still get me more than 3,94J (thats the number of J i get with the original nov piston)? Or is the piston just gonna be too heavy at one point and the joules will naturally go down?
I had higher power with mu original nov piston also. Honestly it's hard to know. But my make @AkaStaten is very good at getting more power out if his setups. He is on Instagram you should ask him I bet he would have a few tips.
No totally different design more section and they screw together its nit a central bar with 3 sleeves that screw over it. Edgi gives only three weight combinations this gives you 11 so big difference there. Plus adjustable airbreak. Dont think you can short stroke the gun with edgi either where as this you can change the lenght if the piston so you don't have to pull the bolt back as much. Spring guide is perfectly matched to fit a rapax spring with zero wobble, too.
Haha copy of what tell me? Which piston has an adjustable airbreak, can have its lenght changed to short stroke your gun and has 12 different weight options and most importantly is made for a Novritsch gun and VSR 😂 Hilarious man it couldn't be further from the truth everything about this hasn't been done before. Totally re engineered from the ground up. Link me the piston here it is a copy of...
@@MrJesulius the only ones being shill are the people claiming they inveted it when they didn't. My video shows undisputable facts it doesn't matter what you say the people will judge for themselves. This design has been copied. its a shame as the true design is 100% better and not sure why they would couldn't think of there own. Go check out the WASP piston designed by sniper mechanic the true and first design.
Wasp piston is good but this is not a copy I am afraid for the following reasons: this has 12 weight combinations not three. This has an adjustable air break which the wasp doesn't and this can also short strok your gun by adding more sections meaning you can control bolt pull distance and air volume within the cylinder to make heavier springs shoot higher or lower powers. So this has a good few more features that the wasp doesn't. It is also a totally different build and design. With that siad they are both very good. But this one also works in the SSG10 and VRS so it's cross compatible. These are just a few facts but they are important to consider. It's important people get all of the facts. I heard the was in the SRS and it is very impressive and certainly does the job also.

It's just you have a better grip of a bolt then you would if you tried to do it in your hands where it is free to move around the cylinder holds it so it only moves one way bit everywhere like it would in your hands if you get me
Also meant to ask how loud or quite was the gun at the shooters side with each set up trialled?
Really good review.
Thanks 😎👍
Great video and comparison! I will look into this for our incoming SSG10 and also our older Bravo BV3. I believe the BV3 is based on the VSR platform??? If so would this be compatible? With me being new I wasn’t sure.
Thanks again for taking the time to do this. Very informative!
Your very welcome man I hope it helps 🙂
Do you run only the Scorpion piston? Or
Do you have also a stalker Morphius barrel inside? I am trying they a ideal set-up for 2.3 joules.
Just the scorpion in this is all man ya the barrel is standard 🙂
Thx for the info 👍🏼
Nice one buddy, well explained! ;)
Thanks man finally a quite SSG10 😂
@@FOXGREEN oww man!!! 😂
@@FOXGREEN cheers man I have the action army T10 and it quieter than the ssg10 anyway - I will wait for the 1j version
Thanks for the into.
What is your piston opener grip?
It's from Tridos designs Google them it's so good 🙂
Using full trust kit plus this upgrade makes ssg10 best airsoft sniper rifle i the world

Do they have strong springs like 5 jueles?
Rapax yes they do they are really good springs I think that 5 joule spring is called the Hulk
I'm sweating just thinking about it 😅. I wish I had a n airsoft field in my backyard.
It really is very quiet at 40meters
Watch at Akastaten's video his audio is way better than mine shows it how it really sounds :)
Yes I came up with that mod 😉 sounds good I hope they all work out for you on game day 😁
Thanks Foxgreen, Great review as always.
Ordered one, every little helps
Cool man let me know what configuration works best in your setup weight wise 👍 so many to choose from 🤣
I'll keep you posted lol
Hi fox green, where do u recomend any airsoft fields in the South East(Ireland)
Absoulte is cork is good I have been there three times 🙂

I haven't played there but it looks good on Facebook so I would definetly go there and try it 😁
@@FOXGREEN Thanks man, love you content 😁
Nice video man! What would you advise me about an ssg10a3 (short barrel)? I want to play it at 0.46 g bbs at 2.2-2.3 joules.
They are 2 rongs yes but you can buy more sperately also if you need them 🙂
I was wondering if this piston for the ssg10 limits the fps?
Try a 5 jouke spring first a 7 joule is nuts you won't need that 😉
I’m just using a longer air brake but i’m still using rapax 2j spring.
sorry dyslexic and fine it hard to do these things is there some where or could you tell me what set up for standerd SSG10 with this items eg piston and a rapax
APS2 Style Spring (2+Joule/Blue)- SRS//TAC41/SSG/VSR so i can play on field with 500fps max?
if you could help it would be great ?? so like 3 gold 1 black ect?
@@FOXGREEN thakyou for geting back to me great vido like your game play keep up the good work!👍
The reason you get better results on 2 joules vs 1 joule is simply because the nozzle aperture is too wide for the break tickness you are using.
No I got a thicker airbreak pin actually
@@FOXGREEN You got other problems then! My 2.5 joule is very very quiet, but my 1.3 joule is sub mouse fart. It almost rivals HPA. Almost.
I'm very disappointed with my stalker piston for the vsr. I'm running the action army Teflon cylinder and can't even get a full seal with the piston alone and it makes a loud slapping sound on trigger pull :/
Did you get back to the manufcaturer to see if they will replace it or if they can trouble shoot it for you?
@@FOXGREEN no. Didn't even think of that! I shall do that right away!
Sobre cuántos decibelios puede estar dando ?
around 70 dB roughly
Is this available in the US?
They will ship to the US from the link in the description
So for a personal choice would you choose this SSG10 w/piston upgrade or the SSX303 from Novritch?
Oh hard decision if it was for the quitest rif I wouod choose the ssx303. But fir accuracy and consistency the ssg10 with this piston 🙂
We go by fps in the states
So this is suited to builds above 450 FPS basically if that helps.
hello Fox Green, can i use it also for the ssg24?
I am afraid no it won't work as the cylinder size is different man in the ssg24
i would have loved to hear 200 and 300 foot shots...they give no sound.
Ya I say you will not hear any report from the gun at that range
@@FOXGREEN now if I can get by that price tag
Ya its pricey
how do i install the sorbo pad, recently received mine and the sorbo pad just squishes too much for my to screw my nozzle into the cylinder.
How do you achieve negative decibels
Why is the scorpion quiet? If you put air pins on the default ssg piston doesn't it produce the same result?
Yes it make it quiter but nit as quite ans the scorpion it's a combination of things. The fact that you can adjust the airbreak length very precisely, the more conical Shap to the piston head and the materials used. Also the spring guide has zero wobble with rapax springs which results in non of that signatire that twang sound you get with the orginal smaller sprong guide.
Great video thanks
No problem thanks for watching 🙂
Hay, I bought the Piston 2 days ago.
I would like to know What are the diffrence between headparts? (What are the advantages)
The head parts there are two in the kit the black is lighter than the gold so kts really just weight difference. Heavier gives better consistency I found and a flater bb trajectory the lighter one works better for a quiter shot.

i another comment u say "use 3+ joule rapax with 300mm barrel to get 2,3J"

Ya so in this video I have short stroked the gun which gives it less air volume. I did this by adding 5 middle sections as opposed to 6 so I am using a 3 joule rapax to account for that and ended up getting 2.4 joules as you can see from my chrono test with that.
The lenght of the air break is also something to consider the longer it is the less power you will get so you can mess with that to achieve the best quietness and power ratio.
I wont lie it takes a few hours of messing to get the results you want which is why I say on the video it's not a beginners mod 🙂

How did you reach 2,4J? I only have 1,5J with the 3+J Spring and the short Barrel
I have two fps adjusters and lubrication loads of if I use car motor oil so that works lovely 🙂👍
@@FOXGREEN Do you have the long or short Barrel?
Short barrel. But lubrication with these pistons is key
So it's an edgi copy?
No totally different design more section and they screw together its nit a central bar with 3 sleeves that screw over it. Edgi gives only three weight combinations this gives you 11 so big difference there. Plus adjustable airbreak. Dont think you can short stroke the gun with edgi either where as this you can change the lenght if the piston so you don't have to pull the bolt back as much. Spring guide is perfectly matched to fit a rapax spring with zero wobble, too.
