    at the age of 37, timo is playing superbly... his stroke execution, placements, reflexes, and above all energy level is very impressive.

    I miss that 2016 Rio olympics Mizutani... Still a great match from Boll

      Guingan Yann I don't see that much difference between matches from there and this one.

      oh my god, agree.

    • @inyourface123
      @inyourface123 6 лет назад

      Agreed. Actually Mizutani played much more attacking in Rio, and he definitely produces better results when he plays like that. He gave Ma Long strong competition in the team match. But unfortunately he has gone back to his usual less aggressive style of late.

    • @teddanville6996
      @teddanville6996 6 лет назад

      in your face LOL, if you actually watched the match, you would see that Boll turn most of Mizutani attacks back into his face. Even at Rio Ma Long also made almost all of Mizutani attack back into his face. I love how people look at the score and think "oh, Mizutani got 2 games from Ma Long, he was really good" but it was actually Ma Long dropping 2 games by making a few errors LUL

      Inyourface if you think Jun was defensive here you really weren't watching! He went to Rio as a lobber/counter and he was way further off the table in Rio.

    Pure masterclass from Timo. Even today in 2018, Mizutani is still his bitch.

    水谷のプレイスタイルが早くなってる。フォアドライブが中陣からのループとバックのカウンターに対応取れてなかったけど、コース取り一つで勝てるラリーだった!めっちゃ強かった!

      Reinaldo Pessoa Yes, the match was played in Düsseldorf. And this is a team competition - therefore, the cheering is completely normal.

    • @reinaldopessoa2603
      @reinaldopessoa2603 6 лет назад

      Christopher Mangels cheering is always normal dude! He was pointing out that no in crowd was cheering for Jun.

    • @ChristopherMangels
      @ChristopherMangels 6 лет назад

      Reinaldo Pessoa Absolutely! My point was that - if that had been a singles competition even in Düsseldorf I would have considered the crowd rude. But in this case (team competition) it's normal.
      And Mizutani Jun looked much sharper here than recently!

    If only Timo played this well against Ma Long back at Team World Championship. Or maybe he couldn't due to the dragon's power?

    • @kaikart123
      @kaikart123 6 лет назад +1

      He is aging, he didn't have that much stamina to keep up with Ma Long's heavy attacks. And he was recovering from injury back then.
