    Sir I am singing this song for past 35 years without knowing it's meaning.....today I learnt it's meaning thankful to you

    • @tuma79
      @tuma79 3 года назад

      Yes. It's an issue that I note even with very renowned singers because they don't know the language. This leads to splitting the words and syllables in wrong places . For instance- " Manavyilala kin chara "- this is how many people sing it. But actually it has to be "Manavi Aalakinchara"

    Thank you for understanding the true meanings and pronunciations in telugu 🙏, I have seen soo many great singers from Tamil who's misspronouncing telugu words, which changes the complete meaning of the word ,we are soo thankful for you letting people know that they're doing it wrong way 🙏

    Bantu as you said is a personal servant. If you have seen at collector office or even in courts there are attenders who wear this belt sort of thing across their shoulders with a badge. They also generally hold a sort of staff in their hand and announce the arrival of the officer. In olden days it was for king and these people walked before the king, announcing his arrival and clearing his path. The badge recognised them as servant of so and so and the staff gave them some sort of authority.
    Here at a literal level, Tyagaraja swamy is asking Lord Rama to give him that position so that he can be near him all the time. Metaphorically, Tyagaraja swamy is asking Lord Rama to make him his own, as in those times a servant didn't have any other identity or existence beyond what his/her master willed, so that everyone knows/calls him as a servant of Rama. In a way Tyagaraja swamy wants to lose his existence and identity and belong to Lord Rama. What more does one require than being called a servant of Rama and what more powerful weapon or authority than the name 'Rama' to face any obstacle.

    It’s a lovely initiative to bring out the Sahithya Bhava with apt musicalities.
    Enjoyed your narration and interpretation of the sahithya Dushyanth ji but one small observation, it’s supposed to be Ramanamamane varakhadgamu - Virajillunayya thyagarajunike, that way it’s being sung in the concerts “Vara khadgamivi “ doesn’t make sense.
    Please correct me if I am wrong.

    It is a must for Carnatic singers to know at least 5-6 languages..if you include marathi and hindi... Else there is no bhava. A word is dissected randomly into two with out meaning and language familiarity.... This is a good lesson for both the teacher and the taught.
    Dasa kriti... simple but improperly rendered takes the beauty away...

    Rendering by Bharat Sundar is very soothing to ears... Where as Mr. Dushyanth(I dont know his literature background or Telugu Knowledge. Must have read Valmikam well, as he is rendering slokams)has depicted the meaning very wrong... There is no context of Ramayana or ayodhyakanda here... It is pure bhakti and seeking help of rama namam against indriyas...
    You have to read the lyrics as a whole including Anupallavi and should have some knowledge, about what actually Bantu and Koluvu means.... you can communicate with me in mail, if you are looking for actual bhavam of it.... Regards..
