🤣🤣🤣🤣 that part about the man. I have seen people trying to get their kids into an 18+ movie and when the theatre security stops them, they just start an argument. They don't even check the censor rating before booking the ticket online.
@LandonWodash actually I'm from India so for any 18+ movie, the Indian censor board gives it an A rating. Actually the one I mentioned in my comment was about a family taking their kids also for an Indian movie(movie name: Animal). And the theatre security had to fight to just tell them that they did not check before the online booking if it can be watched with kids.
I usually have fun with these movies. My father in law watches the Monarch show and likes it but I haven’t checked it out yet. Ranking I would have GvsK, Godzilla, Skull and King. Haven’t seen this one yet. I really enjoyed Skull Island but like you said it has some issues. Has some fantastic action scenes though.
dont listen to him guys, the movie is amazing. the critics are saying it lacks character storyline that engages audience because they dont concider the monsters as characters, because the heart of the movie is indeed the story of kong in search for family, and jia and ilene's mother and daughter relationship. yes there was not enough focus on that relationship, but they did provided humanity to the story,. this is one of those very rare times where critics are wrong. they are very wrong with this one. and it actually got an average cinemascore of A-. and its on its way to an 80 million 4 day box office opening, domestic. clearly people are enjoying it, it aint like madame web you know. my advice, give it a try. just strap in and enjoy. because hollywood would be boring if everything you see are only films like oppenheimer. we need these kinds of good, fun time movies once in awhile. so pls guys, go watch it. the movie doing great in box office doesnt mean people have low standards in movies, it only means that people are open minded and likes to just relax and have fun.
thats just because of the critics. believe me, this is one of those times where the critics knows nothing. and the movie got a cinema score of A-. nowadays only few movies get an A- now. im gonna tell you this though, if your kind of movie is films like oppenheimer, and dont concider cgi monsters as characters, then perhaps this is not for you. the critics never concidered the monsters as characters thats why all of them are saying it has no emotion due to lack of compelling character story. but the reality is, the best part of the movie, is actually kong's storyline about his search for family, and also, ilene and jia's relationship was also heartfelt. i dont know why critics saying that it didnt have compelling human story, because there is ilene and jia.
