The problem was that Sun Hill's CID had two DS's that were at opposite ends (in terms of age, experience, and approach) Roach was far too much of a maverick to toe the line. He would bend the rules to suit the situation and push his luck as far as he could. He was a solid thief taker but wasn't a team player. Greig played it back the book and was very "by the letter" in his approach to policing. However, his instincts were not as strong as Roach's, nor did he have the level of command and respect within the squad at that time.

Tosh was proved right about Greg having the rug pulled from under him...in later series he was pushed aside for someone else to be made acting D.i and was as moody about it as Ted was the first time he missed out to Greg!

No manager would chat like that now as in work they are the boss 😊 but outside in the real world there are no rules no disaplinary and if you grass , you will get fucked up and tormented 💯 no real managers in any job only glorified baby sitters 😅 unless you get the rare silver alpha but then they are all retiring 😂im 40 and after we stop working we are fucked for manual
