Thank you! I was supposed to go to JT about a month ago but they had like 40+mph winds and I didn’t feel like dealing with that 😅 starting to get too hot to camp there in the summer so may have to postpone this until fall/winter. I’ve been to Joshua tree before, just not in the Tesla!
Soooo worth it!! Good to take risks sometimes, putting in the effort of getting up early and seeking these opportunities means we get rewarded with amazing experiences!
Thanks for the support! I usually just do a lot of google searching, you can also go to places like recreation.gov to find campgrounds and parks in your area. Happy Camping!
Thank you! We forgot a lighter so couldn't fire up the solo stove unfortunately! Also discovered that a lot of parks don't allow you to start a fire unless it's in their designated fire pit.
Are other people more decisive with choosing their spot with first come, first serve? Or does everyone circle the loop atleast twice to make their decision? ;)
Haha I'd like to think we're not the only ones who loop around twice! At least the 2nd time we thought of taking photos of the available campsites so that we could remember what they looked like

First come, fist serve campgrounds always feel like such a risk but when you get a good spot all the stress and waking up early is worth it !!!!
