3 in. Buried Underground Downspout Premium PRO Kit

Love the new kit. One question: If I am in the Northeast, do I need to add a few feet of knife cut before the pop-up, or is the new adjustable swivel fitting sufficient to allow water out and avoid freezing?
Three-inch pipe has 56% less area than a four-inch pipe. Really think about that. It's one of the many benefits of using three-inch pipe. Fifty-six percent less water is huge. It's a lot easier to leach what's left in the line through the pop-up emitter. We do not use three-inch knife cuts. All I can say is if you're going to go that way, you better put stone around that pipe because if it fills up with a little bit of dirt from the perforations, again you have 56% less area.
I'm in washington State. We get a lot of rain here. How many downspouts can be connected to the not quite a 90 pop up without having to much water backing it up?
Four downspouts, and in short gutter run situations, five downspouts on a 4" line that pop up flow 240 gallons per minute (GPM). No other pop-up on the market even comes close.
Is the catch basin primarily for catching asphalt debris from a shingle roof? I have a metal roof and would prefer to not have a catch basin if I don't need it. I do have pine trees which shed needles onto the roof, but I assume the leaf filter would take care of that.
Pine needles are the worst. I can't think of anything worse for a gutter system. You need to do everything you can to catch pine needles. The only way I wouldn't use a catch basin is if you cut the pine trees down.
Interesting... So with the not quite a 90 you don't drill holes at all? That's wild it can drain enough through that connection.

Does it include the piece of fabric for under the catch basin?
No, it's not included.
Wish they would add this as an option. I added a piece and it was $12 shipping for a $8.50 piece of fabric.
What type of pipe system do I need for Sump pipe lines through the yard ??
Downspout Pipe 4 in. x 100 ft. High Octane ARMOR Pipe

So its comes with catch basin looked online to add one and im on bostonsays I should order a black one whats difference cuz i have white gutters
You can go with the white ones. They look fantastic. You do have one advantage with black: it does heat up when the sun is out in the wintertime, which helps thaw it out.
Can you get this kit with the knife cut as well? I live in northern Ohio
The 3-inch pipe holds 56% less water than the 4-inch pipe, so a knife cut pipe is unnecessary.
A 3" pipe holds 56% less water than a 4" pipe, so a knife cut pipe is unnecessary.
wont sediment clog the holes drilled into the catch basin?
Exactly why you need to clean your catch basin.
I bought this and installed my first downspout. I have two questions here. If you connect the pipe to the basin and then you would like to readjust it then how would you remove it? Also, the end of my set up comes at an angle and I’m worried that it’s tangling down and does not allow for complete emptying. Do I need to have it straight or is it OK to keep it angled
The most common settings for those couplers to the catch basin are to have them shallow on the inlet side and then hook them up the opposite way so that they drop off and are a little deeper for the discharge end of the catch basin. Yes, if you decide you want to do it differently, you will have to cut the fasteners off with a box knife, and we will have to mail you additional fasteners. As far as the angling up, I hope that's only at the pop-up.
@@FRENCHDRAINMAN yep only the pop up is angling up. I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing. I’m talking about the attachments to the pipe. They clip in, how do you remove them off the clips?
Is there a chance that the water that leaches out of the catch basin can affect the integrity of the foundation? I installed mine 4 feet away from the down spout but I’m 2 feet away from the foundation.
Not unless you drilled, really big holes.
@@FRENCHDRAINMAN I drilled out all the pilot holes. Small.
Whiat tape brand and type do you use?

Can you not just add a blind inlet under downspouts?

First of all you don't give a price. I always find that shady and wasting potentials customers' time. Secondly, I chose your options and and pressed purchased to finally see a price. It continued saying " choose options", which I did 3 times. You need to talk to your webmaster. And to be a fair company just give the damn price!
Those options don’t add any cost. You have to choose either white or black for our leaf filter. Then, you have to choose what size downspout you need so you get the correct leaf filter. Neither option adds additional cost to the product. I apologize if this may have caused you any inconvenience, but I don’t see any other way to get you the proper downspout kit for your home.
