  • This video shows a little hack for making a cheap porta filter funnel for the basket when using the grinder.
    It also shows my workflow when making myself a flat white with bottomless pf and a 20gr ridge less vst basket.
    Please comment if you have any questions.

      Another thing, I actually cut the video a few seconds early … cause just when I was walking towards the table in the end I spilled a bit of coffee on the floor 🙄🤦🏻

      I have bought many thins over the years but never have I appreciated a machine this much. I think that I finally learned that it is better to spend more money on stuff that really matters in your life :)
      Finally 😆
      How is your coffee coming along?

    It all looks nice. But a bit time- consuming. How long does it take to prepare that single cup? I don't mind such relaxing procedure, unless I'm pushed for time.

      Hi, I haven’t really clocked it but now I have glass tubes where I put 18grams of beans in… already prepared so it goes pretty quickly without weighing each time before I pull the shots.
      When not filming/making a video it goes faster. In total maybe:
      15sec of grinding
      25-40sec of extraction with pre infusion
      Steaming the milk around 20-35 seconds depending on amount of milk etc
      20 seconds of cleaning basket and shower screen after the shots

    How did you manage to get the first drop atb8 seconds, myn starts at around 11 seconds 🙄
    Keep up the good work 💪✌️

      I also had the first drops at around 10-12 sec but after changing my tamp method and and the grind setting and pre wetting the grinded coffee it changed to 8-9 sec.
      Thanks for your comment 🙏🏻

    But we still need something to cut it.

      So true:), I did not think of that everyone don’t have access to these tools.
      Next time you leave the car at the workshop just give the measurement to the person doing the service 😊🙈

    What temperature are u using? I or 0 or II

      @AzizIzgin  2 года назад +1

      That you so much 🙏🏻
      I have it set on 0. I haven’t been playing around too much with the temperature except for when I buy Ethiopian beans, then I go one or two steps higher.
      Do you also have the Mara?

      @@AzizIzgin No but I wanna buy this machine. A perfect machine at home will be a really good idea when you drink coffee everyday!

    How did it take one whole minute to steam such a small amount of milk 😟

    • @AzizIzgin
      @AzizIzgin  2 года назад

      I had to watch the video after you posted the comment:)
      You are totally right, it took quite a long time. I think two reasons:
      1. The holes were not properly cleaned.. they were a bit clogged.
      2. I did not really time the steam pressure… this was a while ago and I hadn’t really learned how the machine behaves.
      To be honest, even if it takes 1 minute, I am not in a hurry but today it goes much faster. I will try it again and upload another video.
      The Mara x was also in “espresso mode” not in steam mode.
      Edit:
      I just checked the video again… I actually did a quick purge at around 03:25 … that should have built up the pressure…
      Haha, anyway, it really goes faster now than what you see in the video

    I am surprised it took 60 seconds to steam the milk. I thought it would be faster.

    • @AzizIzgin
      @AzizIzgin  2 года назад

      It is faster. Depending on what mode I have it or or if I time it better…
      Or if you steam at the same time as extracting the shot

    • @AzizIzgin
      @AzizIzgin  2 года назад +1

      Also,
      Look at others more experienced that own the same machine.
      I have still a lot to learn 😊
      I am never in a hurry so I’m not pushing it to behave faster either.

    • @jakevan1969
      @jakevan1969 2 года назад +1

      OK, it must be the brew priority mode that makes the streaming slower. Thanks for the videos!

    • @AzizIzgin
      @AzizIzgin  2 года назад +1

      @@jakevan1969 just timed it again while at espresso mode. It took exactly 37 sec.
      The only difference this time is that turned on the steam wand a bit before I started with the work flow of making a shot… so a woke it up a bit earlier.

    • @jakevan1969

      @@AzizIzgin I think the stream boiler pressure will go up when pulling a shot to compensate for cold water being introduced into the brew water, so if you were to purge a little water or steam during the shot the boiler will rise in temperature and in pressure resulting in a faster time to stream the milk . Love this machine!
