I think maybe they mixed it up so that you would also see vendors without having just a quilt side and just a vendor side. That way vendors get seen more
WOW! Just WOW! Thank you Tiffany for sharing. I don't come anywhere near any of these quilters and their skills. But I am inspired to be more creative in my quilting. Thanks again. I'm so glad you could go.
Thanks for this video. The sawtooth star quilt with all the flying geese stopped me in my tracks. No wonder it won a blue ribbon. I’m drawn to more traditional styles, so this one was a favorite. So many amazing pieces in this show.
Great video, very nice to hear you enjoyed yourself with your friends. It's so very important to experience and explore everything you can when you have the opportunity. ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing, great pictures, beautiful and wonderful quilts! Happy for you that you got to attend! Love the quilt behind you, so neat! The Ogalala quilt show is coming up in Dimmitt Texas the end of this month beginning of April , my daughter and I hope to get there this time, it will be great! Our South Plains Quilt Guild will be featured in the Methodist Church. Take care. ❤️
Yes keep on quilting, there’s no bad quilt, they are all worthy. Go look up Gees Bend quilts, they’re now famous and those ladies were just trying to keep their families warm. ❤
Tiffany, I understand your reaction to the wholecloth quilt! The first quilt I ever saw was in a book and it was a pink hand quilted quilt! It was quilted by hand by a famous lady in Durham in north England. I never forgot it but life got in the way and it was long before the internet started. I finally got introduced to quilting by a workmate in 2000 and the rest is history! I’ve seen the back of a number of quilts done by professionals at quilting conventions here in Australia and they used plain fabric on the back when doing custom work for clients. The backs then looked like wholecloth quilts. Maybe you could try that as a starting point. Loved the quilts you chose to show us, some were really amazing, thank you for sharing them with us. I’m so glad you went and enjoyed and shared your experience with us. Thanks to Becca for looking after you. Love from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤❤❤❤
They are all so beautiful. I was in awe of the monarch butterfly collection. Loved the music you edited into this video. Thanks a million for sharing. It's special for me as I don't travel anymore and really miss these show. Now I can see it through your eyes. So I'm delighted you can't hold back on taking pictures lol👍💖
So glad you got to see that show ( ty Becca!) Your right that whole cloth was amazing! 😮❤ Sweet Pic of Becca beside her quilt. Fascinating footage from the airplane. I was thinking where are the trees? Thanks again for sharing with us.
I live in Maryland (near DC) and seriously thought about going to Hampton Roads for the quilt show. But I didn't go ... Thank you for your report! (And for your fun videos with Ian and Becca).
Did you ever learn, how to blow up a picture you liked by drawing a grid on it? Then on a larger piece, measure out the lines You could do the same on your wholecloth quilt idea. Even if you only draw the squares on the fabric, then lay down paper with the main design lines in each, to sew through on the longarm, then you could go nuts in all the spaces, make it exquisite without a computer. Could some wash-away thread help to keep the squares from shifting too much. As basting thread to stabiise everything first? You got me thinking. Have fun, all the best.
What a great suggestion!❤❤❤ My mum did that with some Roman stuff and created some copper beatings. They fronted the breakfast bar, and looked fantastic.

Ya I been trying to think how it could be executed. I've had the ideas for years, just have yet to do it.
What a great suggestion!❤❤❤
