We watch this over and over, boundaryless violent children while the parent claim "boundaries hurt children and manipulate, this is the best way to help them grow out of bad behaviors, teaching themselves to explore empathy by watching you (your parental; permissiveness and rewards...) which violates all 5 PwL&L rules but claims it doesn't, yet they raise boundaryless kids nobody likes. False-Empathy Permissive Parenting misbranded as "Gentle Parenting" (entitled kids with no right or wrong, just feelings OK to even violently feel out on others) is pretty much 180 to Parenting with Love and Logic.
One thing about expecting love and respect because your children will fell like incapable human beings because they made their parents upset, so this is the way my parents have approached me in life and I swear to God, it did not work, you think, I'M going to live my life thinking about how my parents are going to react to my decision in life? I'm most definitely not shaping my life to be careful not to upset my parents, my choices do not have to agree with theirs and if they are not happy about the choices I make that fulfill me, that is not theirs to judge, you children are not to become. little copy of you, they are to get the most valuable things you can give them so that they can shape their life accordingly and make good choices because they know it is the best FOR THEM and not to please people around them. We all make mistakes that if for sure and I do understand that some choices children make, can hurt patrons feeling BUT only in the amount to where they make choices that will hurt them in the long run and not because you are actually upset at them, you care for how they are going to feel if they keep a certain behavior and that it is not going to enhance their life. I could not speak to my parents about my choices and the things I was going throw because they would straight up just try to talk me out of it instead of trying to reflect with me on how some things could affect my life and it is not about making someone feel bed even if they end up making that choice but as it was mantioned, still being there even if they decide to follow throw with something we might not approve, our way is not the only way, there are many way to live a fulfilled life but obviously, we are all going to go throw our own lessons in life and we do not know, what our children's lessons are but we can only stand on their side while they are going throw it, it is most definilty not about control.
