Born in Townhead in 1957. Moved to Coatdyke, 153 Main St, then moved to Greenend in 1964. Left Coatbridge in 1976 to join the army. Looking at the buses - I remember Baxter and Eastern Scottish. The latter being the bigger company, eventually putting Baxters out of business as I recall. I also remember the connection between Baxters buses and wee Moira Anderson. Very sad!
Wow lovely memories . I first arrived from Hong Kong in 1969 , brought up there and went to school there . I wonder how are the folks who went to school with me now . I hope there are still well .

Baxter's bus, best service in the Monklands, Craigneuk to Coatbridge!! 👌
Love seeing buildings that are still here today. Didn’t realise how much history we had
Excellent record. Thank you.
Is that Mr O'Donnell at Coatbridge Baths (tall guy with beard in group photo of 5 ? if so, he taught me to swim.
Nice on, brings back some memories.. Lol
I always remeber Coatbridge back in the 60's as being dirtier and grimmer than Bellshill, and that's hard to beat!
I know I live in here at coatbridge
Good stuff Phil. We we're in the same class at school.
