- Former ice cream truck driver Michael Keetley is facing a retrial for allegedly shooting six people on Thanksgiving 2010, killing two brothers, and injuring four others. Prosecutors allege Keetley was out for revenge after his ice cream truck was robbed for $12, but mistakenly targeted the wrong suspects. Keetley’s first trial in February 2020 resulted in a deadlocked jury. The former ice cream man is facing two first-degree murder charges and four counts of attempted murder.
Reason For Retrial: Defense attorney’s argued Keetley was too badly wounded from his own shooting, to carry-out the shooting in Ruskin that killed two people. Weak witness testimony led to a mistrial in 2020, after some state witnesses failed to identify Keetley as the shooter, identifying another man in a police mug shot packet. Defense witnesses were more exacting in their testimony, which led to a jury deadlock of 10 not guilty, 2 guilty, and eventually a mistrial.

It was driving me crazy because I couldn’t figure out where I’ve seen this medical examiner before, until she said she worked in Kenosha county. Then I remembered she also testified in the WI. vs Mark Jensen trial.
the witness seat is funky 🤣 ...and that judge looks like a gamer
I’ve never seen such an unprofessional attorney! He’s condescending and rude!
He's the WORST, he was on Curtis Reeve's (the Movie Popcorn killer) defense team also & made my skin crawl. He won, though, convincing the jury you can kill somebody who throws your popcorn.
I can't stand either of those bald men!!!
Absolutely adore this Judge! Should be more of him ❤

Dr. Mainland! She was the ME in the Jensen trial, right?
Yes, she was! I thought she seemed very familiar also
Yes! She’s awesome!
Why is the court room almost empty?
That was the most annoyed witness ever 😂😂😂😂
The phone thing here is interesting. He goes from the day of the shooting, calling from a phone that is not normal and doesn't receive a call back, and gets his car painted.
The focus on cell phone location seems less important to me now. I suspect it would have shown it at home or similar.
The paint and body guy was TIRED of answering what he felt were obvious questions for prosecution
😊😊😊
I recognize the medical examiner from the mark jenson trial in Wisconsin
You can’t tell me that’s not shaggy
Some states let you ask juror questions, as they should. They can't ask, then attorneys appeal the verdict because the jury didn't understand something..
It’s hard to say without reference, but in that video of a news segment does he look tall and huge (280-300lbs)? He did seem quite tall and big, but not 300lbs. Has anyone seen a booking or arrest photo?
Has Keetley been free since the first trial or in jail?
In jail
In jail since 2010. The first trial wasn’t until 2020 where the jury returned with 10 not guilty and 2 guilty. Hopefully, justice will be served this time.
Yeah but had he been free since the mistrial ??
@@katherineseymour6239 by justice you mean 12 not guilty verdicts correct?
@@mollyhoisington7230 no his bond was set at $99,000.00 and he couldn't make the bond ( some thing it should have been reduced after he mistrial but it wasn't) so he has remained in jail. Hope that help Molly
The defense thinks screaming at all the witnesses is good…. I feel that they will turn the jury against the defendant.
The bald guy and anther bald guy defended curtis reeves and were just the same then. Nasty and 4ever long.
Agree!
The defense is doing an excellent job, I haven't seen him screaming at witnesses, he was hyped the first day, but he's dialed it down.
The last trial being 10 to 2 innocent with lesser quality attorneys it will be interesting to see what happens this time. I did notice the male defender he had last trial was the standby assist attorney that the double murderer who represented himself and asked for the death penalty in front of this judge last month.
It starting to seem this guy is innocent. The prosecution seems shady to me
have they dismissed jurors already and put in alternates?
There was a mistrial, but in this second "version" there have not been any dismissals after selection up to this point.
Ice cream man your all done
This defense attorney who crossed this cop is way out of line- why isn’t the state objecting?
Both of those defense attorneys are complete jerks I can think of a few more words but I'll keep it clean
🤩 wow, baldie finally speaks. Can’t wait to see him cross examination 🧐
Goll dang that court reporter's hot !
so it is the same prosecutor and judge from the first trial - and was that the same male defense lawyer, but with hair?
favorite medical examiner - dr. mainlamd!!
Grammar Police Alert: Don't add the word "at" as in "where is it?" "where are you?"
Better stated, never end a sentence with a preposition. :)
@@SydneyBooksMusic You think "them" (ha ha) people know what the word "preposition" means?
@@lieless3396 show me where them people at who don’t know what a preposition is! Or don’t know where it’s at! 😂🤣
Love the teams except the baldies lol
IMO the prosecution is only focus on winning the case, not the truth of the matter
Once it gets to trial that is always the case. That is a result of the very adverserial nature of the US court system. They almost have to be.
However, before it goes to court (and often after) they will absolutely be focussed on the truth of the matter - even if, when you want to be totally cynical, it's just for their track-record. Bringing the truth to court _tends_ to get you the wins...
The prosecutor is hot. Lol
So a man protects his things from criminals because cops ain't around to help him and he gets thrown in a cage because of some bs legal representation.
The victims weren’t the people who robbed him. He shot the wrong guys
If you feel he shot them he 100% has to be in jail
@@BallinComedy ah, he went back later? Yeah that's murder not immenent threat type scenario.
m
Not guilty.
