Actually this is Vunak's own personal take on JKD. Bruce did not have that much Filipino influence in his own personal style, Jun Fan Gung Fu. After his death, Dan Inosanto introduced more of the Kali stuff into the system. Jun Fan is still like Lee's original, todays JKD is what has been added over the years. This vid was Vunak's early 90s release of JKD Streetfighting. Still good stuff to this day.
The ending speech is very truthful , amazing insight to different tools in a streetfight. I've always like the elbow if done right it can do serious damage even cut the assailant like a rude knife
This is good stuff!! At 61 I live across the street from a bar in small town. Sooner or later its going to come down to blows. As an old oilfield guy I can handle myself! This gives me more confidence and desire to become more aggressive if confronted
@DirtyHarry135 Yeah, but that is the point of krav maga, and RAT (rapid assault tactics - the style Vunak teaches) - you take natural movements to the most sensitive parts of human body, and practice them until they basically become like reflexes to you. You really cannot think when you have all that adrenaline in your blood, and it all comes down to instinctive moevements
Still not sure what to make of the eagle staring right at the camera...and then fading into Paul Vunak wearing an ill fitting leather jacket, which he wisely shucks off at the earliest opportunity, while lights from police cars (or ambulances) are reflected off the alley set in the background. I mean - WTF?!?! It's like they hit all the high points regarding how to make the intro of the video as cheezy as possible.
"Cheezy" is used by the shallow, the weak-minded, & the superficial. As you've made this same sissified comment on several videos, that describes you to a "tee."
I think Paul is very good at what he does, This is not what Bruce Lees method was like , this is more based off kali linage and Guro Insantos way...of jkd.So many people use Bruces name when they dont need to...ive never seen Bruce ever headbutt be it in his books or films.... Paul your method stands on its own with out the use of Bruces name :)
@dpapaioannow a take down is someone coming at you 'head first' - a prime target for a knee in the face ( or a full kick if you are fast enough) . Of course I am referring to all else being equal. similar attributes etc . i mean an average Joe would be easily taken down by an expert but what if both are expert athletes with similar attributes etc...
@TheMatthewp23 If someone can stop a take down (like most MMA these days ) than why can't one hit with the knee at a man that just shoots in for a take down.
Also, most experienced fighters are actually intimately familiar with close range clinch work, especially kickboxers and muay thai guys - don't know what vunak is talking about when he says that they can't operate in those ranges. a competent boxer can take your fucking head off at close range with short hooks and uppercuts that can be landed in elbow range, and even from the half clinch or a collar tie. most street fights involve some kind of collar tie/neck grip when they get into close range.

Haha, you missed the boat, old man, stay in your rocking chair before someone hurts you.

i thought the outline of the eagle at the begining was his hair!
Thanks for sharing this with us.👍
I've seen a doorman bouncer use a headbutt,,',ouch' it hurt the patron,,with a bleeding nose, out the door he went..didn't want to argue anymore.
This guy is a mad man who knows his shit
Oscar Elms not a mad man. very passionate about the art of combat
Always wondered if vu lived in that camper in the alley. Bought this tape series in the 80s.
He's the chosen one.
Now that's 'Merica's Mullet. Awesome stuff!
a good video would be "how to take someones eyes out without getting your hands gooey" They can't see they cant' fight

the headbutt is devastating.
Pretty good, but just a technical point. The Wing Chun punches he demonstrated were chain punches (lian huan chui), not battle punches (zhan chui).
That’s Some classic shit right there
Jun fan is full of this stuff.
I want tht badass headbutt t-shirt!
… nice quality upload..

Today It's now illegal in highschool football 🏈 helmet Headbutt to facemask
yes
That one made me go: "Wha?"
you're just talking about man. a fight is not of% 99 theory. do not talk much. but do it. % 90 Your theory will not work in a real fight
@naaab Is it pink?
If all three lines are closed, your making sweet sweet love :-)
that part made me laugh, i know its been 9 years since you made this comment but yeah
@dpapaioannow thx
hahahahahaha, yeah . that was funny
no one grabs the mullet
1987 called....It wants it's Coke, Karate, Hair cut and clothes back.....
Too bad we can't bring 1987 forward to the present -- there were so many more men & so many less shallow, weak-minded pussies.

....well, they might be grappling....obviously....plenty of dangerous things a judoka or BJJ guy can do to you without opening lines to strike.
T-shirt is not gay at all. It says head-but.
Talk,Talk, Talk!
Rubbish if you do that to somebody. You`ll be soon locked away
he has been sober with out cocaine only two days
