    Over 5 FP on the torque and over 9 HP, plus a broad power range. That's one strong saw. Thanks Joe.

      Paveen ported up a monster 372, and even if the pipe wasn't matched to the ports it still made good power on pipe.

Some that's been lingering around for decades, finally we can put to rest that never ending xt vs oe argument. nice to see, that a good ported saw is not that far behind the piped one.
    if you think of working with those saws, a pipe is not really a practical thing to deal with in the woods, it's just for show and great to test like you did and for this the ported version is pretty much the best i think.

    great info , why i look after my 2012 372xp ( i will port it one day, lightly just gasket delete and open transfers, should give me .025" squish) running with a 19mm ex euro type. Where do iget a high top and filter kit, preferably not chinese?

    • @dynojoemods2764
      @dynojoemods2764  2 года назад +1

      You may be able to order all the parts through a dealer. The high top on the oe saw was an aftermarket kit.

    Do you tune the carb when changing mufflers? You could mention that in the future videos.

      Most of the time the tune has stayed ok. I will try and mention next time.

    Do you purge these hot pipes when welding them? What material and thickness are they made out of ?

    • @dynojoemods2764
      @dynojoemods2764  2 года назад

      I didn't build the pipes.
      These are mild steel looks like 18-20 gauge. These were just prototypes whipped up and sent in to make sure they were making power and going the right direction.

    Unfortunately it's a shame. Nobody is going out in the woods to cut with a pipe like that
    I get your showing new products n such. But how about products the normal person is ACTUALLY going to use
    Edit..kills me to hear those internals in the recoil taking all that abuse when shutting off (I always pull the rope out) learned that after replacing a recoil on my dolmar 7310

      Which products would You like to see?
      I just testing and showing what pipes can do to an engine to help the builder dial them in.
      If you or anyone has a saw product they would like to test/dial in I do offer dyno runs for anyone. They are listed on my website. Www.worksaws.com

      i would march myself out into the woods with a pipe on my saw to buck up some logs. a HUGE pipe like that might not be the best for felling timber but it wouldnt be that hard to bring the saw with the stock style muff to put the trees down and then switch to the PIPE for bucking. with the gains you get it would save a lot of time bucking. I would just strap the pipe to my backpack that i take with me everywhere, and i already have the tools with me to change it out. im just saying that some people operate a differently than others.

      That is why we are still testing these pipes. Should be closer to 9-9.5k rpm peak to match the stock saws powerband
