He had a piece of bone taken out of his foot, that's why his skating was so bad, why would you want to bring in someone who can't skate anymore?
Too bad tho, Trouba was a good defenseman and exactly what the Leafs would be looking for, but he isn't that guy anymore. And with all the top four high price contract on this team, ya can't afford any other contracts that may not work out, of which Trouba would be one of. Can't take that risk with this cap structure.
