at 0:52 there is a cut. this video was taken down after a copyright claim and as a result, to keep the video up, i was forced to trim out a section of the video that youtube flagged. sorry that it cuts at an awkward/unnatural place. the missing try was scored against wasps in the 2018 champions cup

What a player. Been a big fan of his for years. Hopefully see him in England colours for the upcoming tours.

If you take injuries into consideration that is pretty strong. You judge a player's try scoring abilities by the games they play. From late 2019 to early 2022 he hardly played due to injury. When he has played (78 appearances for Bath, 66 starts) he has scored 29 tries which is an average of 0.4 per game. That is on par with most top players in the league. Sean Maitland also has an average of 0.4 (paying 134 games for Saracens and scoring 50 tries). When Anthony Watson played for Bath, his average was 0.3 (124 matches, 32 tries). Rees-Zammit has an average of 0.5.(he's played 77 matches for Gloucester and scored 41 tries). The point is, you can only judge an ability of a player based on the matches they've played. And when Joe plays, he scores a more than respectable amount of tries.

But that rate of tries is even better for England, perhaps second only to Dan Luger - and only then due to Luger doing it over three times the games. On that basis it's utterly stupid that Joe isn't one of the first names on the team sheet; should be an absolute given. @@rugbyrecitation
