Omg Tweet is such an underrated artist❗️She’s responsible for so many background vocals for so many songs it’s crazy. This album was so good and soulful. Check out “Take Away” by Missy Elliott ft Ginuwine and Tweet. It was a tribute song to Aaliyah🙏🏾

Fun fact: Aaliyah first agreed to work with Timbaland and Missy when she was recording her One in a Million album because she got a demo from them called Sugar and Spice. The song was something Tim produced and Missy wrote for a girl group called Shugah, a group they worked with a lot in the artist roster DeVante Swing from Jodeci was pushing (Tim, Missy, Playa, Magoo, Ginuwine, and Shugah were all in that roster). The lead singer of that group and on that Sugar and Spice song Aaliyah heard was Tweet.
Missy -One Minute Man featuring Trina and Ludacris is the joint also.
I’ll never understand why they put Trina on that video version because most of her verse was bleeped out😂. I’ve never been able to find it on streaming services. It is 🔥though.

Missy wrote & produced & ofcourse did background on here and her lil pop ins ofcourse. This song is classic. My other favorite Missy & Tweet collab is "Call Me" BY Tweet
Missy may have not done a lot vocally on this song, but she has done so much for so many amazing musicians. I love Tweet and t jink she's highly undervalued as an artist. The intended meaning behind the song was written to promote and serve as a reminder of self-love/acceptance, although Tweet was aware how some people might see it as well, you know. She was in her early 30s when "Oops Oh My" was released after not finding success early in her career. Before then she was close to being suicidal until Missy intervened & offered a job to her.

" Around 1999 with Sugah (her former group) going nowhere, no album to show, and many broken promises, Tweet returned to her parents' home in Panama City penniless and depressed. Great reaction as usual! Tweet has so many incredible songs. She is so underrated. Literally all three of her albums as well as her EP are among my favorites of all time. I wish she got more airplay. Someone else requested “Take Away” by Missy Elliott ft Ginuwine and Tweet and I second that request! Another from that crew is "Up Jumps the Boogie" with Timbaland and Magoo feat. Missy and Aaliyah. As for Tweet solo songs, there are so many: "Smoking Cigarettes," "Always Will," "Heaven", "Complain," "Beautiful," "My Place," "I'm Done," "Cab Ride," "Proceed," "Priceless," "Magic" (which I think she has a video for). The list is crazy long....
Tweet’s 1st album Southern Hummingbird is a classic album. Smoking Cigarettes, Complain, and Beautiful are definitely songs you should react to. You also need to react to Fantasia “When I See You “ as well.

This song is a classic and stood out at the time. Missy’s contribution was perfect, just to add flavor w/o overwhelming the song in parallel to how Tweet was incorporated on her songs. Tweet was and still is BEAUTIFUL. Didn't appreciate her when I was younger but MAN! Her, Timbaland, and Missy started their career together so that may be why her sound is similar to Aaliyah's. Timbaland on the beat of course. Wouldn't exactly label her a one hit wonder but this song was definitely her biggest; Tweet said that she never liked the spotlight on her and just preferred helping folks make songs with her background vocals.
