- What does it mean to work out your salvation with fear and trembling? What does it mean that it is God who works in you? Philippians 2:12-13 can sound like a bit of an enigma. “Work out your own salvation …” What did Paul mean by this? How does this work together with God working in you? Isn’t salvation by grace alone? Are we meant to “help” God with our salvation? Join Milenko and Kathy this week as we tackle these questions and more.
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13.

Paul's "prison letter"! When one is in fear and trembling it IS then that we must look to are salvation,as it IS the Greatest source of comfort that we as believers have next to the Holy spirit itself! God bless you brother 🙏
One is saved by "Confess with your lips Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart He was resurrected from the dead you will be saved." That's Grace. This verse is tied to Eph 2:10 (works which God has for you to do). Easy peasey.

Earlier today I was reading Galatians and chapter 5 stuck with me. Just now I got frustrated coz my wife did something that led me to get frustrated and she admitted she was wrong and asked me if I'mad at her, but in that moment I heard myself responding, " I'm mad at myself for allowing myself to be mad at you or at least feeling mad at you "... And then you gave your old train driver example and that's when I realized God is working on me so that I decrease and die to myself and refuse to react to my sinful nature which galatians 5 speaks of ( the works of the flesh) and embrace the new creation which is in the Spirit. Thanks guys for the video, God is using you guys. Glory to God.
Yes Daniel! Isn't it amazing that instead of having to be stuck in sin God is leading us to freedom! It's a glorious life that we are called to lead as Christians and God is so rich in His grace and mercy to help us overcome all things we find rising up in us. People forget Hebrew 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
God is grace but also a righteous God.
Grâce is not a license to sin nor for one to do his on will and live his life the way hé wants to.
I would have to challenge the statement that Gods will is for us to be obedient. We should be obedient, and I’m sure God desires that for us. Ultimately the NT states Gods will is for us to believe on his son. That is Gods will for us. Our obedience doesn’t get us into heaven. Jesus does. So trust in him.
There’s no fear and trembling in “working out your salvation.”
One receives salvation by grace because that person BELIEVED.
You now have peace with God knowing you have been saved and it can never be rescinded. That is your peace. You have no salvation to “work out.” You have it!
The Holy Spirit will be there to walk with you to guide you and the Lord will extend His hand when we fall into the pit of sin. You are his forever.
The believer is not “bad.” He/she is a child of God and as such God.
God does not work through the believer through obedience. Obedience to what. The mosaic laws. The Ten Commandments? We are not Jews under the law. We are to die to the law.
We are under grace.
