- Today we have an amazing transformation that will blow your mind. We originally knocked on Theresa's door to ask about her neighbors yard. Little did we know Theresa was praying for help with a dream of her own. After many of its members began to die this once flourishing community center started to die itself. Theresa took over as president with a dream and a passion to see it restored once again full of life and people enjoying it like back in the 60’s. We came in to help make that dream a possibility. Today you are going to see not only the Blessing Boys in action but the whole community come together to give this overgrown property a huge makeover and we needed all hands on deck today because it was huge. We joined hands, worked hard and realized along the way that what we do is more than just yard work.

I picture planters full of beautiful flowers, perhaps a vegetable garden and classes teaching the children how to garden. So many, many possibilities and hopefully we all get to see the finished project !!! This is how I grew up many years ago, and it's time to bring back those times, bring people back together , because somewhere along the line we lost our way and it's time to get back to what it used to be.

You could have weddings, receptions, family reunions, farmers markets, car shows, holiday events like a community Christmas party with a huge tree, fundraisers, Vacation Bible School, Girl and Boy Scout events, summer camp events, church revivals…Omgosh the possibilities are endless!!

What a wonderful feeling it must have given to be putting this community back together, as opposed to breaking down. The world needs so much more of us drawing together, as communities, countries, and most of all, the Lord God's children. Family the way God intended it to be.

There is plenty of room to have a communal garden with lots of colourful plants, plus benches where people could sit and chat whilst enjoying the garden. What a great bunch of boys you all are, I really enjoy watching your videos.

Your blessings helped this community clean up its center. The first step is to get the building cleaned so they can get the roof fixed and the water pond fixed.

This was a great beginning and a wonderful coming together of the community. It was clearly evident seeing the pride of those whose memories were rekindled from what was to what it can be. Had a community cemetery and a pavilion where my mother grew up. Where I grew up when I was young (4-5) there was also a school & a church - my great grandfather donated a 1/2 acre when he retired from farming. We had reunions until the early 1980's.

This is what it’s all about! Get people together for good causes, get the kids involved in bettering their community. Here’s where the parents, and all the adults set an example. Put those computers and Game Boys down, get outside, come together play and have personal conversations.

Job well done by all! It is wonderful to see a community come together to repair something that the community can enjoy as a whole. I already see a flagpole with the American flag blowing in the breeze standing in the circular fenced in area with perenials like day lillies, cornflowers and other flowers that will come every year and bloom all summer long. I can see swings, slide etc. for the children, horse shoe pits for the adults and maybe a small basketball court. Picnic tables under the pavilion on one end and an area for dancing on the other. I see birthday parties, picnics, family reunions, all kinds of celebrations........
