Recently bought an M3 MBA with 24GB, worst buy ever, should have got the MBP. Anyone watching this and considering an MBA, don’t. Base model is unusable, once you start upgrading you’re better off with an MBP. Expensive mistake.
yep i think u have to upgrade to an MBP, 24gb ram with m3 chip on MBA is useless unless u want to do some basic stuff like browsing or editing some FHD videos
@@youssefchounaki9421 RAM is the most important component in the system, when you run out you swap, more you can hold in memory the better. I never get less than 32MB on the pro. But this machine is seriously limited, 16GB is fine if you’re browsing the web, else it’s MBP all day, every day. I don’t pay retail pricing, my $1900 laptop was $1400 and not tax due to the tax holiday in my state. Even then, it’s over priced!!
@@ryx964 Doesn’t matter what you do, every works better and smoother on the MBP and it’s a better device in everyway. 8GB is a joke, 16GB is min, so 24GB is for those wanting more than something that struggling of you have a few tabs open, email, small DB, a VM. But there’s the problem, MBP is the same price with much better performance be it with only 18GB

The base model mba is sufficient for most of the development tasks and the tasks that require more computational overhead is usually done on cloud so I just don't understand the appeal of overpaying for a macbook pro or a ram upgrade. And in the budget segment that the mba is at no other windows laptop even comes close so I think you are just overpaying.
