Just wanted to say how awesome Mike's job is, and how I'm just a little jealous. He really hit the jackpot, going from struggling to find engineering work to getting to do such an awesome job with cars. It's really easy to be happy for a guy that lands a gig like that when he takes it and just kills it the way Mike has been doing.

With regards to the initial disappointing dyno results, you should check the slack on the throttle cable. Over time they stretch and the result is that when you floor it, you’re only getting like 80 or 70% of throttle instead of 100% at WOT. Which would explain the 90 escaped horses.

      Greetings from Canada friend!
Jag owner here. They aren’t as bad as you think. But you will need to spend a few bucks on a well sorted one. One that’s been cared for properly.
But if you do that, then it’s really not scary at all. Love my XJ and it’s a fantastic drive. No one does it quite like Jaguar.

  • @MarkMeadows90

Not the biggest fan of Jaguars, but this project is pretty interesting. That exhaust system looks sick. Looks like it has an x-pipe. Might give it a little raspy, race car sound to it. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like very soon.

Mike, here's a plan, you could fix your interior by replacing the dash with one from a right hand drive donor car! Of course you'd have to move the steering wheel across to make it fit, but you're going to do that anyway, right? ;)

I love Jags, but I prefer the E-types, the XJ6 coupe and Daimler version(used to clean a Daimler V12 coupe in dark blue, black vinyl roof). Or the XJ40 Jankel coupès and MKII Jag in darkest anthracite metallic or Jag BRG stainless Steel wire wheels, Coombs rear arches, lowered 2 inches, conolly leather interior perforated seats, 5 spd ZF gearbox, stealth sound system, full length Webasto sunroof, tinted lexan sun shades, and sunroof deflector.
Moto-Lita steering wheel, dark wood veneers, or aroka wood veneer, seat belts matched to the leather colour, polished seat belt accessories. Now that's a dream Jag if ever, oh and a D-type tuned large valve head engine, or put in a f-type supercharged engine....mmmmmmmm

Are you guys swapping out the wheels in the next episode? Those are XK8 wheels currently on it, and certainly not the most tasty ones available. At the time, BBS made a number of nice wheels compatible with the X100, most notably the Detroit, Milan, and Montreal; I have a set of "oyster"-finished Milans on my XKR coupe and it looks the business.

I enjoy this channel. It's fun seeing what's going on. I miss the old Top Gear with the 3 best presenters though. I miss seeing new cars, I miss seeing what idiotic car one of them would pick for an episode, I miss seeing the guys doing the news, I miss Ben aka the Stig basically I miss the old days I guess. The grand tour started out similar, but now with one episode a year and no fun cars really and more importantly no banter like the news etc. there is a big piece missing. I suppose the 3 fellas enjoy being home more with their families...

Some parts are cheaper, but some are expensive so don't break them - a tradeoff for your imports. Must get it simulated, but getting it rendered breaking is not a simple task, especially true for dragonriding. Sean Boswell tries to learn with bicycle protections. Fuel consumption matters, nice to have a switch to put mufflers on click. Let's put C2 Hercules into it's place, if you wish to banish John Deere - to get them make a pact with government, because your are high tech student. Racers having livery, but it's a bit different, not telling everybody configuration. Still hard to know if it fits your model.
